Rant: I don't like birthdays, like sure getting stuff (especially food) is nice, and being older is always good (at least where I am in life), and getting to choose where y family goes to dinner is the best! But a day all about me where I'm the center of attention and everyone wants to sing to me, Hell No. every year around my birthday every single family member I know is texting me non stop, "what do you want for your birthday?" NOTHING!  I don't want anything, and I don't know what to tell you to get you to stop texting me. that's not entirely true I WANT unlimited microwave popcorn and candy, and maybe another shelf in my room, but i've already given those Ideas to my friends and  the family members I Actually Care About. I don't want people spending money on me when they don't need to. AND then there's the HAPPY BIRTHDAY SONG! I Hate The Happy Birthday Song! everyone surrounding you singing the most depressing sounding song, and you just have to stand there, and do WHAT? singing along is weird, just smiling is awkward, and there's no kind way of removing yourself from the situation. Usually around that time of year I just wait till my birthday is passed and then invite a few friends over for a sleepover, then it's my celebration but it's not all about me. And on my birthday I just let exclusively my close friends and family know and they can sing IF THEY HAVE TO. I was born on mother's day but that day changes each year so I just cross my fingers and hope I can share that day with my mom and not have the day be all about me.  But yeah that's my stand on birthdays. mines coming up in a month, If you want to guess how old I'll be turning, you can.
