Recap

"I'm all shook up right now," Ringo says.

"Well do you believe me now?"

"Yeah yeah. I believe you."

"Well can you help me get back?"

"How are we gonna do that?"

"I don't know."

"Well where did you find me? Did I just end up on your couch?" Lisa asked.

"No, you ended up on my bathroom floor."

"Was there anything else there? Something that came with me?"

"I don't know, I didn't check. I just saw a girl lying on the floor and I immediately took you to the couch."

Lisa blushes. He picked me up and carried me?

"Well let's go check to see if there's something there."

"Right this way," Ringo grabs her hand and leads her to the bathroom.

She feels his rings against the palm of her hand and blushes again. She wants her fingers to lock with his, but that would be a little weird since they just met.

Ringo opens the door to the bathroom, and Lisa walks in. She looks all around. It was a pretty small bathroom, but it smelled good at least with a lit candle next to the sink. But what she was hoping to find was not there.

"Well shoot," she says, taking a deep breath and slowly exhaling.

"What were you looking for?"

"I was hoping that the time machine came along with me, but I guess not. It wouldn't do much good anyways because I need a picture from 2017 to go back home and you broke my phone."

"Sorry about that again." He rubs the back of his neck and looks down shyly.

Lisa chuckles, "Don't worry about."

Ringo looks down, still feeling bad about what he had done.

Lisa clears her throat with a small cough after a few seconds of silence. "So I guess I either just stay here in 1963, or I build the time machine again."

Ringo nods, "Well that shouldn't be too hard, right? You built it once, I'm sure you can do it again."

"No I don't think so," she shakes her head. "I didn't really do much of the building. Carol did everything, I just watched."

"Oh...well you watched her. You must have a basic idea on what to do, right?"

She shrugs, "I guess. I just need to go to the store and buy the metal parts. I didn't bring any money with me though."

"Oh no worries. I'll pay for it."

"Ringo I can't let you do that! I was just thinking about getting a job to make a few bucks."

"No, it's fine. Plus, you can't get a job anyways. What if the employer looks for some record of you and when he doesn't find any, it'll look awfully suspicious."

Lisa hadn't thought about that. "Oh right, I'm not born yet...well I need to pay you back somehow."

Ringo chuckles, "Don't worry love. Say, it's getting pretty late," he looks at his watch. 7:45 p.m "why don't we go to the store tomorrow?"

Lisa nods her head, "Sounds good, thank you."

Ringo walks out of the bathroom and Lisa follows, "There's a really nice hotel not too far away from here, I can pay for your room too."

Lisa frowns. She thought she would be staying with Ringo in his house but realizes how stupid that would be. After all, they did just meet. And why would Ringo Starr want to have some weird girl from the future stay with him? She felt embarrassed for thinking such a thing.

"Um, yeah. Thank you."

"Alright, lets go." He grabs his car keys, and opens the front door, letting Lisa walk out first.

She slowly and shyly makes her way out the front door and looks around. It was a nice looking neighborhood. It was quiet, the neighbors seemed to mind their own business, no loud dogs barking at nothing in particular, no suspicious looking characters wandering about. It was nice.

Ringo opens the car door for Lisa, and she goes in. At least he was a gentleman.

Ringo walks around to the other side of the car and hops in too. "You're gonna really like this place. I mean, I never stayed there, but it looks really nice from the outside."

"Great, thank you," she says, trying to hide the disappointment in her voice.

It was about a five minute drive, so not far. However, neither one of them said a word to each other during the ride, which made Lisa feel uncomfortable.

They pull up to the hotel. "Alright, I'll go in to pay for your room."

Lisa opens the door, but before she got out, Ringo said,

"Lisa, wait a minute. I just thought this."

Lisa waited eagerly for what he was about to say. "Yes?"

"You don't have any pajamas. I may have a shirt back here..." he bends over to the backseat of the car and rummages around, finding a wrinkly button up shirt.

"Oh...thanks," she says, taking the shirt from him.

"Don't worry, it's clean. It just got a bit wrinkled from staying in the car for so long. You don't have to wear it if you don't want to."

"No, no it's fine. Thank you," she says, forcing a smile.

He returns the smile with a happy one of his own, and gets out the car. Lisa examines the gray, wrinkly button up shirt and holds it to her chest. She follows Ringo inside.

"Alright, here are your keys," the lady behind the counter says after Ringo pays.

"Thank you ma'am. Here you go Lisa," Ringo turns around and hands the key to Lisa.

"Alright, thank you again Ringo. I really owe you one."

"No, you really don't." He smiles. "I'll be here tomorrow morning. How does ten sound?"

"Sounds great. I'll see you tomorrow."

Lisa watches as Ringo leaves the hotel. She takes a deep breath and looks at the room number on the key. 410

She gets to her room and walks in. It was really nice with a queen sized bed and a cute small little bathroom. The view from her window wasn't too great, it was just the parking lot in front of the hotel. She sees Ringo in his car and watches as he drives away.

Lisa looks at the time. It was only 8:00 pm, but she was tired. It has been a pretty long day after all.

She takes off her clothes and puts on the shirt Ringo had given her. It was big on her, but nice and comfortable. She hops on the queen sized bed and covers herself with the warm blanket.

"This is all just a dream," Lisa whispers to herself as her eyelids grow heavier. "I'll wake up in the morning and be in my own bed. It's all just a dream..."

She yawns, and then falls deep asleep.
