They spent the next week in Edoras recovering their strength to make the long journey back to the mountain. Amanda had grew too big to ride so Theodred had suggested they take a cart. So the plan was, Amanda and Kili would ride in the cart while the Fili, Chris and the other ten dwarves would ride around the small cart.

" This is Eomer, my cousin. He and some men will escort you to Erebor." Thoedred spoke to Kili and Fili as Amanda helped Chris load the cart of food and provisions. She had a smiled that Kili had not seen since Fiona had disappeared.

" Really, you do not need to bother yourselves. We have caused to much trouble as it is." Fili told Theodred.

" Nonsense. Please, I insist. I have grown found over you and you family. Amanda can be very sweet and lovely." Theodred smiled as he watched Amanda punch Chris in the arm. Chris pulled a fake yelp of pain before he rushed over and picked her up swinging her about, careful of her bump.

" Yeah she has her ways. Well if you insist then we appreciate the help." Fili smiled to him as they walked over to the horses.

"I will accompany you up to the borders. Then I must go and attend to a few things." Theodred called as they all mounted their horses. Kili helped Amanda up onto the carriage before jumping onto it himself. He took the reins and made sure everything was working. Amanda moved over in the seat and rested against his side.

" Tired honey?" Kili asked her looking down. Amanda sent him a noise signalling she was. Kili chuckled as they were ready to leave the city.

" Get some sleep then." Kili said a they moved forward through the city. Once out the dwarves surround the cart and the Rohirrim took the lead and the tail end. Fili and Chris were at either side of the cart while Theodred and Eomer were just in front of the cart. Amanda fell asleep easily against Kili with her hands resting on her bump.

" I can't believe she is pregnant." Chris said to Kili.

" Yeah, third time." Kili smiled happily thinking about his son and daughter.

" The other two? Amanda has not told me about them yet." Chris said asking Kili about them.

" We have a son name Kilian, who is 31. And a daughter, who is 12, named Dalila." Kili told him with a smile. He was very proud of his family and Chris could see that. Chris had also saw the love Kili held towards his sister. He saw it whenever he saw Kili looking at her, how Kili would only look at her in a hall full of the fairest maidens.

" So tell me, everything. About how you both met?" Chris asked as Kili smiled brightly. He began to tell Chris, his brother-in-law, how he met Amanda in Bag-end. How they left on a long quest to reclaim Erebor. It took up most of the journey to the borders of Rohan to explain everything.

" Well, that's..." Chris said laughing at the whole story. Kili chuckled and nodded.

" Yeah, she and Fiona gave us a good fright. But when I saw Amanda, standing there in the doors of Erebor. Everything was just, nothing existed. After what felt like my whole world had died when she did. I thought I had honestly died myself and she was the angel to take me to afterlife." Kili said as he remembered the moment she walked over to him.

" When I held her in my arms again. I made a promise there and then. I would not let anything happen to her again." Kili said as if away in a trance. Chris smiled releasing just how much they truly loved each other.

" Well, I am glad she has you." Chris smiled to him. Kili sighed and looked forward.

" Look, I am sorry. We got off on the wrong foot. I am sorry for everything." Kili said to him. Chris just nodded and smiled gently.

" Don't worry about it. You and your brother were just protecting Amanda." Chris said to him. Kili looked at him with a thank you expression on his face.

" This is where I leave you. I wish you all the best of luck and safe travels." Theodred spoke as he looked it Fili and Kili with a nodded.

"Thank you. For everything." Kili smiled to him with a nodded.

" Any time you wish to visit the mountain. You are more than welcome." Fili said with a smile as Theodred nodded.

" Thank you, journey well!" Theodred said as he separated from the group with a few of the riders.

" We ride for another hour, then we will stop and camp for the night." Eomer informed everyone.

" To be truthful, it's me that should be thanking you. I know how much of a handful my sister can be when she's not pregnant. I can only guess what it is like when she is." Chris chuckled to him. Kili laughed as well.

" Well Chris. I want to ask you something. Would you like to live in Erebor. And I don't know how it works in your world, but your sister being married to myself. It means you have the option to take up the title of prince. If you do, you will be the current 3rd heir to the throne. That is if Amanda is to birth a boy, you will be the 4th in line." Kili said to him, giving him the low down. Chris was stunned at his request. He was now being offered a royal title, and he had only just met everyone.

" I will have to think about it." Chris said. Kili nodded with a smile. Hearing this meant everything to Kili as it showed him Chris was not just out for the title and the riches it came with.

" Very well." Kili smiled as Amanda sighed heavily. They soon camped out for the night as the sun disappeared. It took around a week and a few days before they arrived back to the mountain. It took longer as they had to go slower for the cart.

" Amanda, wake up sweetheart." Kili nudged Amanda gently as she was laying across the carriage seat with her head on his lap. She groaned and sat herself up.

" What is it?" She asked tiredly. Kili chuckled looked to her then out front.

" We're home." Kili told her as Amanda's eyes focused on the mountain. She smiled brightly and looked to Kili. She then looked to Chris who was marvelling at the large mountain before them, they had already passed through the city and were now just at the steps leading up into the mountain. Amanda reached over and placed a hand on Chris's leg. Chris looked to her with amazement in his eyes.

" Welcome to your new home." Amanda muttered happily to him as they pulled to a stop. Chris smiled and looked up as a fugue came rushing down the steps.

" Mother!" He yelled as he came rushing down the steps and pulled Amanda into a tight embrace. She immediately hugged him back and pulled him away. She turned him around to face Chris.

" Kilian, meet your uncle. My brother. Christopher." She smiled to him. Chris nodded and put his hand out to shake.

"Chris is just fine." Chris said to him. Kilian looked to his hand and then to his face. Kilian just pulled him into a hug and chuckled.

" Mother has told me many stories about you. It's nice to finally meet you Uncle." Kilian said pulling back. Amanda smiled knowing everything was going to be just fine. Kili wrapped an arm around her waist and one of his hands onto her belly. Amanda smiled to him and placed her hands onto his large one. Just then the baby kicked against her belly.

" Oh my god! Did you feel that?" Amanda asked happily. Kili nodded and kissed her forehead.

" I sure did." He smirked as everyone looked to them wanting to know what was happening.

" The baby just kicked." Amanda smiled as she pulled Chris's hand to her stomach. The baby kicked again and everyone chuckled and smiled happily.
