Lea's POV

The throne room was the same as it has ever been, dull, fiery, and evil.

"Firelord, Princess Lea is here." The guard that led me here stated, stepping to the side so Ozai could see me better. Just as I thought, Azula was here as well

"My youngest child, it's so great to see you once again." Ozai stated, showing concern which shocked me to no ends. I stared up at him, my eyes filled with confusion

"What's the matter Lea? Father has been so excited to see you." Azula told me, walking to my side and gripping my shoulder firmly, noticing how I was speechless

"Uhhh..." I was at the lost for words, Ozai, my own father who wanted to kill me, was now showing remorse?

"We were so lucky to have found you, right father?" Azula asked Ozai, half smiling up at him. Ozai nodded in affirmation

"Come my dear, we have so much to catch up on." Ozai stated, dismissing Azula. Azula nodded before walking out of the room, making sure to close the door behind her

"Now, Lea, who was the one who kidnapped you?" Ozai asked me, standing up from his perch

"Uhhh, a young man... He wanted to use me to infiltrate the city." I stated on the spot, hoping to Agni that he doesn't realize I was lying

"So I see, how did you escape?" He ask me, walking down the step of stairs, the flames behind him diminishing

"A young earth bender helped me, but I never got to see his face because he was wearing a mask." I told him, now that was the truth, Shinya helped me get back on my feet

"And where is he now?"

"I don't know sir, he would occasionally bring me food, but suddenly stopped a week ago." I told him, watching him get closer to me. He sighed, believing my white lie

"Good thing we found you when we did, Sozin's Comet is coming, and we are leaving the palace, me and you will become the Phoenix Leaders." I blinked in confusion

"Huh?"

"So I see, you haven't realized who you were then, looks like I would have to reawaken the flame in you, Lea." Ozai told me, a smirk plastered on his face. He was acting just now, wasn't he? Dang it... Why did I fall for it?!

"You are the Phoenix, Lea, Agni Kai's Disciple, the one destined to go against or orders, or the one to save the fire from burning out. Years ago, before you were kidnapped, I planned to reawaken your flame that was diminished by your mother, and to see which path you would take, and if you chose the one not in my favor, I was to kill you. Of course, that didn't go as planned." My eyes turned into slits, I was right about him killing me once he got the chance

"Now, to reawaken your flame, I shall burn you until you awaken, LEA!" He sent a barreling flame towards me, having my eyes widen in fear. Time seemed to slow down in that moment before my death. I was sent here to be kept safe from the battle, only for me to die by the hands who burned my brother and deceived my mother. Firelord Ozai, my very own father wants to use me for his own benefit, but I won't let him, I knew the path to choose, and I will choose it! Time sped up again, giving me time to dodge the attack, shocking Ozai. Once I made eye contact with him, I said these words

"You burned my brother, deceived my mother, killed my grandfather, you are no father of mine once you disgraced yourself in front of Agni, he would be disappointed in you if he was watching over you. I know which path I shall choose, and it's the path my only family left has chosen, to help save the world from your forces!" I yelled, my gold eyes burning in hatred for the one who deceived the ones I loved and cared for dearly

"You insolent little brat!" Shots were fired, full of flames that could kill me, but once the fire touched me, I could no be harmed, it was as if a barrier was placed around me, to protect me. I took a deep breath, closing my eyes. Do what you love, do what makes you feel at ease. Do what protects you!

I opened my eyes and did and spinning motion with my hands and started to spin in circles, taking the flames around me with me. Having them be sucked up within my hands, creating a sphere of fire. I stopped, facing Ozai while he watched me in awe. I thrust my hands forward, having the sphere of fire hurdle towards him. He knocked himself out of his state and went to sent it back at me, only for his movement to be a tad late, having him be blown back from the explosion of fire in front if his face. He was hunched on the floor, trying to regain his breath. I walked towards him, feeling as if I was more empowered then before

"Kill me already, you already won."

"No. It's not my job to defeat you, that's all up to Aang, I'm only going to help him in the future, and after he has defeated you, once and for all." I stated, my eyes fixated on him

"Weakling."

"Says the one on the floor." I countered, walking away, my arms crossed tightly over my chest

"Goodbye, Ozai."

I know I haven't updated in so long! I'm so sorry for that but I have a good reason as to why I have been not updating a lot, first off, my computer got switched out with my dad's old computer because my computer is a piece of crap and even right now, I'm writing this down on my IPod at 1 in the morning. Shhhh, it's a secret. But, I have been writing a book that I'm going to publish once it's done! Yes I'm going to do that which is exciting! But my dad told me that I would have to have at least.... About, 270 pages for a novel, so it won't be one of those big thick books I know a lot of you guys love but it will be something! Now, thank you guys so much for all of the votes it's so cool I never got so many stars or votes before on anything on WattPad! So thank you all again and this is sort of my long overdue thank you gift, this chapter! Also, if you guys want to know what the name of this book is going to be just inbox me! I don't want to have that much information out as of right now since it's still in the writing process, I'm currently working on Chapter 3, yes I'm slow, but this is what happens when I have to update on here and Quotev, XD.
