~Gray's Pov Still~ 

I was in shock about the slap as the side of my face felt on fire and was stinging like crazy as Lucy moved away from me wiping her face. "It has taken me 400 years to stop the slave making, to free humans, it took me 288 years to even bring magic back" Lucy snapped her voice loud and harsh as the room was getting warmer by the second. "You think I like this? Seeing the people I care for die all the time? You think I can handle watching Fairy Tail die all over again?" she was looking at me.

I saw the pain in her eyes. I saw she was losing it. She was bottling everything up to help anyone she could. I rushed up to her, hugging her as she was crying into my chest. "I am sorry for what I said.....I didn't mean it I was just annoyed after everything he has done to bring up my other family even...." I spoke calmly as it wasn't right of me to bring up her mother. After everything she had been through herself. "I lost them.....I didn't just lose Fairy Tail.....I lost my spirits" Lucy spoke crying badly.

I was frozen in place. "Jason took my keys......He took them and I can't find them.....I-I couldn't protect my family Gray....So please don't destroy the only way to protect you" she begged as I hugged her tighter as she finally hugged back still crying as I was rubbing her back. Soon the door burst open. "LUCY! WHAT DID YOU DO PUNK?" a female voice shouted as I turned around keeping Lucy in my arms turning her too. We saw a girl with short blonde hair that matched Lucy's and had hazel nut eyes like Erza. 

Lucy pulled away walking over to the blonde who was wearing a brown dress. "He was calming me down, my thoughts got to my head I am sorry to worry you Dimaria" Lucy spoke smiling brightly just a Mira smile as Dimaria calmed herself down pulling Lucy into a hug. "I got worried, please remember you can always come to me or Randy" this Dimaria spoke as Lucy hugged her back right away smiling her tears finally coming to a stop. "Dimaria can you do me a favor?" Lucy asked pulling away from the short hug.

Dimaria smirked. "Anything for my fellow blonde" Dimaria spoke winking toward Lucy who laughed slightly. "Keep an eye on Zatanna, she will do anything to destroy the wedding plans" Lucy spoke as Dimaria nodded giving off a salute and left as she then turned her head facing me. "Gray there is no other way but to join Zeref, the other races would destroy the human race again it has been wiped out three times now, I have always brought them back but I cannot do so anymore" Lucy spoke before leaving the room herself.

I stood there in shock. I was standing there thinking about her words as I sat back in a chair my hands on my head. Humans had already been wiped? "Gray?" I heard Levy's worried voice as I heard the tapping of heels come closer to me. I looked to see Levy standing in front of me worried. "How did humans get wiped three times Levy?" I asked as she looked at me shock but soon had guilt. "One time was mine and Lucy's fault we had to join Zeref's side since a human thought if they controlled Lucy's mind they would rule all" Levy informed me as it did sound as if Lucy had gone through a lot.

"The other two times was because of mages like Fairy Tail who hated Zeref, they attacked but Zeref and the other races joined together and won" Levy then explained as I got up putting my hands on Levy's shoulders. "Lucy is broken isn't she?" I asked as Levy's eyes watered as she slowly nodded yes. That got me worried. Could Zeref be tricking her? Could he be telling the truth? Was there any chance we can really join Zeref's side like Lucy?

~Lucy's Pov~ 

After two hours the ball had ended many had left as my feet was hurting from dancing so much. I did have some fun with the girls and Zeref. Everyone had left but Zeref's main guards myself and the four people I brought. "Stay the night, I will get rooms ready for you" Zeref came over taking my hand kissing it. I felt my face burn up slightly. "Thank you, Zeref. Really without your help or without the Spriggans....I don't think we humans couldn't come so far" I spoke as he was smiling toward me.

"It was you who proved to me what I thought once before. Humans can do anything and became great things, they are not all sinners" Zeref replied as it took a long time to convince him of that. I turned my head to see Gray whispering to Levy, Natsu and Erza. Levy had guilt in her eyes while Natsu and Erza had shock and worry. I took a deep breath. "Lucy how about we spar later?" Dimaria asked smirking as I looked toward her. She and Brandish were members of the Twelve Spriggans. They was good friends and nearly sisters to me.

"Alright how about at sunrise?" I asked as Dimaria jumped in the air cheering excited getting me to laugh. Brandish walked over sighing grabbing Dimaria by the ear and dragged her out the ball room getting me to laugh more. "Let me show you to your rooms, Lucy your room should be the same" Zeref spoke as I nodded him and I walking ahead as he was still holding my hand. I and him knew Zatanna would send spies but I couldn't help but enjoy the feeling of my hand with his.
