1. A New Day
The morning started off good for Dale, being the new owner of the institute for helping people with their fears. Without waiting for breakfast, he had already gotten to his office. He sat down in his chair and began his work.
Though it was like this on most mornings, today he felt a bit weird. It seemed so interesting to be there on the morning.
He curiously picked up the entries of new patients and they looked quite appealing.
The organization - Feel Better Inc - was set up for the sole aim of people's needs. It consisted of several therapists and psychologists who were together rubbing minds and giving average humans the attention and help they needed.
Dale inherited it from his grandmother but being only fourteen then, he couldn't possibly sit behind a desk and give orders.
His brother took up the responsibility until Dale was old enough to take care of it.
“Remember,” his dying grandmother said to the circle of family members in front of her, “You all now play a part in the lives of others who are scared and cannot. . . ” she coughed.
“Help them . . . Dale . . . Help them . . .” She could only say so much before her heart stopped beating and she kicked the bucket.

The knock on the door jumpstarted Dale from his trip down memory lane. It didn't take long until the door swung open before he had the chance to answer.
“I'm sorry for barging in, but Mr. Luke Banks is here to see you,” he secretary said.
“Oh, okay? Bring him in then,” Dale said with a sort of confused look. He ran a hand through his dark brown hair and sighed, getting ready to see his college business tycoon - Luke.
He fixed his eyes on the appearance of the millionaire in his front and smiled.
“Morning,” Luke greeted, his voice sounding very elegant.
“Good Morning to you too. What brings you by and how may I help you sir?” Dale said, still with a smile.
“No need to be all formal with me. We're friends aren't we?” Luke said. “Or can you not seem to remember me, from college . . . And I thought I was famous.”
“Alright, how do I address you?” Dale asked.
Like rolled his eyes at him and answered, “Call me Luke, it's that simple.”
“Of course and call me Dale,” Dale replied.
“I know that. Now, for the reason I came, let's not waste time on this name thing.”
“And that is?”
“My dude wants to enroll in your programme and-”
“Hold on a sec, dude? As in-” Dale said, surprised.
“Yes. There a problem?” Luke asked raising a questioning eyebrow. “Uh, no? Not really . . . Your dude?”
“Thought I just answered you. Can we carry on,” Luke said slowly starting to get pissed off.
“Sorry, I only remember you being into ladies.”
“Remember? I still am.”
“So what's up with your dude?”
“He needs help? I mean, why do people come here. I discovered I had a distant cousin who is believe or not my closest heir, and so I want him to be okay. He's not really been in the spot light so-”
“Oh. Okay.”
“You get it now? Please let's start, I've really got a lot of things to do.”
“Name please,”
“David Victor, he's got a weird fear,” Luke said.
“Which is?”
“Long words, clocks, mirrors . . . That's it. Oh, and yeah small things.”
“Sorry, Luke, I'd rather you didn't mention that his fears are weird, even if they seem weird.”
Dale picked up a pencil and traced all the names, looking for the specific name he was sure he had seen. When he finally saw it he said,
“Ok, his name is here!”
He then looked at the paper then at Luke , then the paper and the at Luke again. “He's already listed among the other names.”
“I know. I'm not here for formalities or any of that stuff,” Luke said, pulling back from his seat as if to get up.
“Then why are you here?” Dale asked, trying to be cool. Luke was just being himself - annoying as fuck. The only thoughts going through Dale's mind was, why was he still dealing with the most annoying and childish person in the world.
Ok, not to exaggerate but, Dale had had to deal with him in college as a senior, and now he was once again in his life.
“Just to give you a heads up on David's time here. If he even feels uncomfortable in the least possible way,” Luke said, inching closer with each word. “I sure won't mind cutting your whole organization and giving it zero stars with a bad . . . I mean, multiple bad reviews.”
Dale leaned back a bit and replied,
“Thanks. Nice threat, but I'm going to do all I can do to make everyone and not just David but everyone comfortable here. That I can assure,” Dale answered.
“Good. Do you want a smoke?” Luke asked.
“Nah, I don't smoke. A few drinks yes, but smoking, nah. I'll pass on that.”
“You sure are something,” Luke said.
They had few more words and talked about Luke's numerous businesses before he had to leave.
