it was the first day of middle school, and i was starting out in a new city after a big move. i had never met anyone here, and i was nervous. i walked into the classroom and sat down at an empty desk. i took out my book and started reading before class. i felt a tap on my shoulder and jumped.

"oh sorry, did i scare you?" a blonde boy asked. i nodded silently. i was too scared to speak.

"my name is Mirio! who are you?" the boy asked.

"Tamaki.." i replied.

"thats a cool name! what's your Quirk?" Mirio asked.

"its called Manifest.. basically if i eat something i can get the properties of that thing, like if i eat chicken i can get wings, if i eat squid i get tentacles, etc. what's yours?" i asked.

"cool! mines called Permeation, and i cant go through walls and floors and stuff." Mirio smiled.

I smiled back.

"wanna be friends?" he asked.

"sure.." i replied.

Maybe middle school wont be as bad as i thought.
