Danny was worried, for the past week, Aizawa had been acting stranger than usual. He seemed more protective if that was even possible. Even though Aizawa is with him most of the day, the times where he's out on patrol or teaching another class he still sends Danny a text every 5 minutes. If Danny doesn't respond, Aizawa comes and finds him.

Since the behavior started out of no where, Danny was worried something had happened. Currently, he was in Yamada's English class. Since he has his ghost speak quirk, and English is his first language and best subject, he usually acts as a tutor in the class. Today they were reading however so Danny didn't need to do much.

"Hey little listener, everything ok?" Yamada quietly asked, placing a gentle hand on Danny's shoulder. Danny responded with a shrug. Yamada and Nemuri were also acting similarly to Aizawa. He had to find out what was going on or else he'd have a heart attack.

"I'm ok" Danny mumbled back, staring at his book in front of him. Yamada gave him one more worried look before walking down the other rows of desks to check on his other classmates.

Once the bell rang, Danny stood up and threw his backpack on. Kirishima was automatically by his side.
"Hey bro! The new arcade down the street is opening up today, wanna go there after school? The rest of our friends are going, even bakubro!" Denki and Sero joined them as they walked out of the classroom.

Danny immediately perked up in excitement.
"Frick yeah! I gotta ask Aizawa first though" Danny quickly whipped out his phone to ask.

Muffin: can I plz go to the new arcade today after school, everyone else is going （○'Δ｀人）

If his dad did agree, he'd probably make either Nemuri or Yamada chaperone him since he had patrol after school.

"Did you say frick? Why the hell are you using censored cursing now?" Denki asked as they made their way towards the lunchroom.

"Nemuri made a bet with me that if I didn't say any bad words for a whole week she'd give me 5 muffins but if I do say a bad word then I can't eat any muffins for 5 days" Danny explained, waiting patiently for a text back.

"Midnights smart.." Sero mumbled, she found out the Danny hack. The group nodded in agreement. Danny jumped a bit when his notifications went off. He looked at his phone screen.

CrankyDadMan: only if Nemuri agrees to go with you, make sure you're back before dinner. My patrol should be finished up by then. How does Onigiri sound?

Danny gave the group an excited thumbs up. He couldn't wait, he did have one question though.

"By the way, what do you do at an arcade?"

The group groaned.

"Oi, if your dumbass gets lost on the way we're leaving you behind!" Bakugou shouted back at Danny, who was lagging.

"Oh come on, I don't even get lost that much anymore! Not since Aizawa put that tracker in my shoe!" Danny exclaimed, quickly tying his laces. He stood up and quickly caught up with the rest of his friends.

"I brought the leash, just in case" Nemuri smiled innocently as she held up the child leash that Danny hated. The disdain must have been plastered all over his face since Nemuri gave him a quick forehead kiss.

"Don't worry little ghost, I won't force you to wear it" she ruffled his already messy head of hair.

"Oh, what I would give to be kissed my midnight" Denki and Mineta drooled. Tsuyu slapped them both upside the head with her tongue.

"I'm still surprised you only had to wear it once" Shinso snorted at the memory. Danny stuck his tongue out at him.

"Don't talk about it or I'll throw you into a portal" Shinso grinned before flipping him off. Danny quickly reciprocated.

"Our deal only consisted of speaking, not hand motions" Danny quickly explained to Nemuri.

"You got me there, kiddo"

There was a pretty decent amount of people in the arcade by the time they made it there. Mainly students from their school. Izuku, Ochako, Todoroki, and Iida greeted them by the entrance. They left earlier than the rest of the class.

As soon as they all entered the crowded arcade, which was a pretty decent-sized building, they all spread out to play some games. Nemuri stuck by Danny's side most of the time as she had promised Aizawa.

"Hey bro, wanna play this racing game with me and bakubro? We need a third person" Kirishima called out to Danny.

"Sure! Is it like Mario Kart?" Danny asked as he made his way over. He was amazing at Mario kart. He had beaten Aizawa and Yamada numerous times. Nemuri is a world record holder so it's not fair to be compared to her.

Nemuri supervised the three teens as they played their game.
"yOU FUCKING ASS!" Bakugou cursed as his car was pushed into a guardrail.

"Sorry, not sorry bakubro- NO WHY!?" Kirishima cried out as Danny pushed his car off a cliff. Danny chuckled mischievously as he raced to the top and across the finish line. He scored 1st place.

"Hell yeah!" Danny shouted in excitement. A second later, all the lights in the arcade shut off followed by the machines. It was pitch black but luckily Danny was able to see pretty well.

"What happened?" He heard Kirishima ask next to him.

"I can't see anything!"

"Why'd the power shut off?"

Everyone started talking all at once, which wasn't pleasant for Danny's sensitive hearing. Nemuri kept a firm grasp on Danny's arm as everyone began walking towards the glowing exit sign above the doors.

As the crowd became anxious to get out of the dark arcade, they began rushing. Danny felt Nemuri lose her grip on Danny's arm and they were separated.

The ghostly teen was one of the first to make it outside, being pushed by the others in the arcade. He quickly got away from the crowd and began looking for some of his classmates. As he neared an alleyway next to the arcade, an arm reached out and grabbed him. Danny let out a surprised Yelp as he was tugged inside the alley.

He immediately threw an ectoblast at his assailant, who let out a familiar screech and dodged out of the way.

"You idiot! I specifically told you not to startle him!" He heard another familiar voice reprimand.

"I panicked! Sorry dude didn't mean to scare you" Danny blinked in surprise at the two standing in front of him.

"Sam? Tucker? What are you doing here!? Is something going on in Amity? Is that why Aizawa is acting all weird lately? Wait how did you guys know where to find me-" Danny was interrupted as the two engulfed him in a hug.

"I missed you, man! Our trio can never be just a duo! No offense Sam, Danny dude, I swear she's been even more vicious ever since you left!" Tucker sobbed into his shirt.

"Oh shut up Tucker.. also, haven't you noticed my birds? I've instructed them to watch over you so I know what's going on over here" Sam said rolling her eyes at Tuckers' dramatics. The two backed off, waiting for Danny to continue his ramblings.

It was at that moment, Danny realized that he was not in fact Phantom, but Danny.
"Wait... you guys knew I was phantom the whole time?" Danny asked, a little hurt that Sam and Tucker didn't tell him. Suddenly, Danny heard his name being called by one of his classmates.

"Let's continue this conversation in here before anyone interrupts," Sam said, opening up a door that lead into the arcade's electrical room. Once inside, Danny noticed that the lights were covered in a weird glow that matched the color of Tuckers' eyes.

"Did you use your quirk to shut off the lights?" Danny asked his friend.

"Yeah, I know it's illegal and all but what else is new. Also, it was for an important cause" Tucker motioned towards Sam who had Lilith perched on her shoulder. Danny waved at the familiar bird who cawed back. All the crows he's been seeing suddenly made a lot of sense. He's a little embarrassed he didn't realize sooner.

Sam took a seat on the dusty floor of the small room and patted the space next to her. Danny plopped down, Tucker sitting in front of them so they created a small circle on the ground.

"Okay, before we tell you why we came here, we just want to clear up any misunderstandings. I can hear your thoughts racing around in there" She tapped Danny's forehead. He gave her a sheepish grin which made her lip quirk up in a small smile.

"Samantha hurry up and tell him or I'll give him the Tucker version" Danny widened his eyes when Tucker said her full name. His face also paled. Sam shot him a glare right along with her bird.

"Call me that again and I'll have all my birds crap on you precious beret and your beloved PDA" she threatened. Tucker gasped, clutching his red beret and his PDA closer to his body.

"Anyway.. Danny, as much as we love you; you're not that great at keeping secrets. We're also not as brain dead as the rest of the town, so we figured out you were Phantom pretty much the same day you started ghost hunting" Danny looked at his friend in shock.

"You knew from day one..? Why didn't.. why didn't you talk to me? As Danny? Sure you waved and sometimes said hi but... you never asked me to sit with you during lunchtime or to hang out after school.."

"No dude! It's not that we didn't want to, it's just that we couldn't!" Tucker quickly exclaimed, hating the hurt tone in Danny's voice.

"What Tucker means to say is that the reason why we never hung out with you as Danny is that we also hung out with you as phantom. As stupid as our town is, we knew if we hung out with you as well it would cause suspicion" She paused, taking in Danny's reaction.

It made sense, he still felt a little hurt but he was beginning to understand. After a moment, Tucker started explaining as well.
"The town all knew us as the two who hung out with phantom. We wanted to hang out with you dude but it was hard to talk to you at school. If everyone knew we were all friends but you always happened to be gone whenever phantom was around, we couldn't take the risk of the town finding out. Especially the Fentons dude.. I know we should have told you; if we could go back and change the past we would. But hey, we did and will always consider you our best friend. I mean, we are the spooky trio are we not?" Tucker gave him a small smile, nervous as to how Danny would respond.

He shocked the two by pulling them in for a hug.
"I love you guys and all that you helped me with back in Amity. I understand why you couldn't be there for me as just Danny, but still, being there for me as Phantom helped me through a lot as well" Danny grinned at them, eyes becoming a bit glassy at the tender moment. They broke apart from the hug once Sam began speaking again.

"We didn't realize.. how bad your home life was Danny, not until after we heard that the Fentons were arrested and my crows had told me what happened during the sports festival. If we did, we wouldn't have stayed quiet about it! You could have stayed with me in my house or tuckers, fuck.. I'm sorry Danny, I'm sorry" Sams's voice cracked. Tucker put his head down in shame as well, it was obvious the two had been beating themselves up over that for a while.

"Hey, you have nothing to be sorry for! There's no way you would have known, I never told anybody other than my first-grade teacher. When that didn't go well, I never tried again. It's not your fault and it's not my fault, the only people at fault here are the Fentons. Okay?" His tone was stern, much like a certain sleep-deprived hero.

The two looked back up at him, surprise written all over their faces. Danny continued, glad to see his words were beginning to sink in.
"I stayed quiet about a lot of things. Hell, it took me over 5 months to even tell someone here. The reason why is because he was in a similar situation, after I told him he encouraged me to tell Aizawa.. don't feel sorry, please? You didn't do anything to be sorry for" Danny finished, pulling them both in for another hug. He heard some sniffles coming from one of them- or both of them.

"H-Holy shit dude... sams showing emotion again- OUCH!" Tucker pulled back to nurse his arm which Sam had punched.

"Oh fuck off tucker! Also, you got my shirt all messy with your snot and tears" She grumbled, wiping her eyes and looking away, face flushed in embarrassment.

"Excuse you, I don't cry I-"

"Whimper"

"Hey! Danny sams being mean to me again!" Tucker whined before sticking his tongue out at his gothic friend. Danny couldn't help but laugh at his friends' antics. His laughter caught on, making Tucker laugh as well. Sam tried her best not to smile but eventually failed, even letting out a few laughs.

Their laughing fit soon came to an end, when Sam had remembered what they had originally come there for.

"Danny.. about why we came to visit, I've been keeping tabs on Vlad while you've been gone. He's come up with a few plans to kidnap you but Tuck and I put a stop to them before he could make any moves. We only failed once, My crows told me you were almost kidnapped about a month into your stay here.." she sounded guilty about not being able to stop the kidnapping. Danny, meanwhile, was surprised. There were several more attempts? He suddenly realized just how lucky he was that he had Sam and Tuck.

"About a week ago, don't even Tucker" She shot her friend a glare as Tucker was about to start singing the meme. He frowned, head down in disappointment.

"Anyways.. about a week ago Lilith overheard Vlad making some plans. He built a weapon, one designed to extract your ghostly DNA from your body and inject it into his. He's got the guys in white and your ex-parents on his side, right along with a few villains. I don't think me and Tucker are gonna be able to stop this on our own so we came here-" Danny cut her off, confused.

"Wait wait wait- the Fentons? I thought they were in jail?" Danny frowned, a little worried. Tucker looked at him, worry written on his face as well.

"Vlad broke them out a week ago. He had the GIW break them out with the fancy new armor that Vlad made them. He's calling them 'DALV' now" he explained.

Danny groaned, head falling into hands. No wonder Aizawa had been acting strangely for the past week. Danny was a little upset that he didn't tell him but at the same time he kinda understood why.

Danny's eyes widened in realization. He checked the clock on the other side of the small room and saw that they had been talking for well over a half-hour. Danny quickly checked his phone and winced at all the missed calls and messages.

"Oh, shit..." Danny winced, reading the last frantic text sent by his father.

"What? What happened?" Sam asked, a little concerned.

Danny was about to answer but was interrupted by the door opening, revealing a very worried Aizawa. He could hear Nemuri and his classmates in the background. The trio all looked at him with wide eyes. Danny eventually gave him a nervous smile and waved.

"Hi.. Um... I'm not kidnapped, yay!"

Aizawa didn't pay his comment any attention as he looked at Danny, Sam, then Tucker. He closed his eyes, took a deep breath, then opened his eyes again.

"You three... out," He told the trio.

"...oh by the way Danny, did I mention that Lancer also knew- ouch! Sam! Why?" Tucker whimpered as they were pushed out of the electrical room by Sam.

"Not now Tucker!"
