5| Defeating Palkia

Yin's POV 🌺

Looking over at the pasture lady, I walked over to her and asked if I could go in the pasture for a moment, even though I probably know only the Agriculture corp members are allowed to go in.

Nodding in response and understanding, she letted me enter the pasture before closing the gate behind me, as I walked over to Phobos and pulled him into a hug.

Looking at him, I could see his face a lot more better than earlier, but the tears in his eyes were still there.

Silence filled the air for a moment before I felt Phobos hug me back, as he started crying.

In response, I continued hugging him as I rubbed his back soothingly, trying my best to comfort the giant hisuian Zoroark, that's sitting on the ground, and looming over right in front of me.

For a few minutes, we remained hugging each other until Phobos stopped crying and I wiped the tears away from his eyes for him.

Then I rested my forehead against his for a moment.

"Phobos? What I'm actually trying to say is...I'm sorry for your loss. I really am.

But, just know you're not the only one who feels the heavy weight and pain over losing someone that you love and care about so much." I say as I looked at him.

"Humanity loses their loved ones every single day. Whenever it's a natural cause, a health problem, an accident, war, or even a murder...

Like pokémon, most of us are not immortal. And we all know that, despite it being the sad truth for us. But, the only thing we can do is treasure all the good memories we have, even before the darkest part of our lives come."

Then I smiled a bit as Phobos looked at me in return.

"You're right about that. The only ones who are immortal are the legendaries and I suppose the mythical pokémon as well, like the lake guardians for example. Even Arceus is one of them, since it created everything all by itself." He says.

"But, before you leave, can I say something?"

"Sure, what is it?" I asked.

"I'm sorry for the way I behaved and treated you. I still couldn't process the loss over my mate and one of my daughters.

And secondly, don't die out there when you go up against Palkia, you idiot." Phobos went as he looked the other way, a light blush seen across his face.

"Heh...It's okay, you tsundere." I joked a bit before laughing.

"After this has been taken care of, how about I treat you and your siblings to something nice, hm? Would you like that?"

"Sure, I guess." He replied.

"Alright...I'll see you later then." I chuckled as I booped him on the nose, before I got off and gave him a handful of Oran, Sitrus, and some Nanab berries.

Then I left the pasture and thanked the lady before leaving the village and heading my way to the summit camp up at Mount Coronet.

Phobos' POV 🥀

After watching Yin leave the village, all I could do was silently pray to Arceus that she'll be safe and sound, while coming back alive.

Battling a frenzied pokémon is dangerous whenever it's a noble or not, but, it's even more dangerous when battling a legendary pokémon that's in a frenzy.

Looking over at the berries Yin gave me, I picked up one of the Oran berries and started to eat it, since I started to feel a little hungry.

After I ate for a bit, I looked up and stared at the distorted red sky for a moment, thinking about my deceased spouse.

"Heh...Yin really does remind me a lot of you.

Don't you consent....

Yuki?"

Yin's POV 🌺

After I reached the temple, I got myself ready to let Dialga out of its ball as soon as I approached Palkia.

Then it was time for me to start quelling and battling Palkia, after it transformed into its origin form.

From what it's origin form reminded me of, Palkia looked like a different, cultural pokémon but without it's arms.

During the entire time I was throwing balms at Palkia, I could assume Nightmare was feeling nervous and worried about me, not wanting anything bad happening that'd result in making me faint.

But so far, I've been doing well, dodging Palkia's attacks left and right while throwing balms and battling it at the same time.

And by the time I managed to quell and defeat it completely, I threw the origin ball and successfully caught it without a problem.

Just after Palkia was caught, the distortion disappeared and the sky was turned back to normal.

Sighing in relief that it worked, I picked up the origin ball and putted it away before turning to face the others.

The professor, Rei, Kamado, Adaman and Irida.

Just after a few minutes of interaction, along with Kamado mentioning that we'll be having a festival at Jubilife Village in celebration of a new day and a new beginning, I smiled, looking forward to heading back and celebrating with the others.

As everyone started to walk away, I suddenly collapsed to the ground, not realizing that I've used up so much energy during my battle with Palkia.

The last thing I remembered when I was still a bit conscious, was seeing the others stop walking before immediately turning around to face me, the sound of a pokéball being opened, and seeing someone hurrying over to me

"Yin?! YIN!" was all I heard next before passing out from exhaustion.

Nightmare's POV 🌙

-Earlier-

As soon as Yin collapsed to the ground, I immediately started panicking before getting out of my pokéball, feeling worried sick about her as much as the others were.

Once I was out, I hurried over to her and picked her up, carrying her in my arms bridal style as I looked at the other humans and the clan leaders that she was with, as we quickly left the mountain and returned to the village.

From there, I ran down to the Galaxy Guildhall building and had Rei let me in, before I bolted toward the Medical corps' room.

"Huh? Is that Yin's Zoroark?" I heard one of the female nurses say when I ran past them.

"Looks like it must be really worried about Yin too." I heard another reply.

For a moment, the nurse was a little surprised when she saw me, until she noticed Yin passed out in my arms.

"I see...Bring her over to the bed." She says after looking back at me, showing that she understood the situation.

I could only nod my head in response, since I didn't want the other humans in the village to know that I can actually talk, whether I transform myself into a human or not.

Without hesitation, I walked over and gently laid Yin down on the bed, before I sat down and watched her.

"So, what happened?" The nurse asked me.

Not sure how to communicate without behaving more like a human than I'm already doing right now, I looked at the nurse and made a really exhausted facial expression as I pointed at Yin.

"Ohh...She passed out from exhaustion?" The nurse went.

In response, I nodded my head again.

Then the nurse smiled and chuckled a little.

"Don't worry...I'm sure she'll be alright. She only has a small wound injury on her head and just needs some rest, that's all." She says while giving me a head pat before heading over to a cabinet, grabbing medicine that treats wound injuries and some bandages.

After hearing that, I sighed a little in relief, glad to know she's okay.

For a while, I remained close to Yin, until I decided to leave and get something from the wild for her as a get well soon gift.

Leaving the building, I went up to the security corps guard and gave him the message that I plan to leave the village for a moment, through gestures, in which he understood.

"Just to make sure we don't mistaken you for a wild pokémon, I'm gonna put this on you until you return." He says before pulling out and tying a black scarf around my neck, that has the Galaxy team logo sewn on it.

I nod in understanding until I left the village after letting him know where I was heading, which is Obsidian Fields.

As I stepped out, I started looking around for something that I think Yin would like, while I kept my distance from the alpha pokémon.

First thing I went to was a berry tree, in which I knocked some berries down with ease and putted them away, while I also quickly went in those space-time distortions and managed to snag a lot of Star pieces, Comet shards, Nuggets, Stardusts and some evolutionary stones that work well on pokémon like Eevee.

Then I left and returned to the village after finding a flower that I thought Yin might like, since it looked pretty rare but special too.

When I came back, I returned the scarf to the guard and headed back to Yin, seeing that she was still passed out on the bed.

As I sat down, she eventually started to gain consciousness before looking over and noticing me.

"Hey, Night..." She went as she smiled while I pulled her into a hug.

"Hey. Are you okay?" I silently asked.

"Mm-hm...What happened though? The last time I remember is that I was at the temple of Sinnoh with the others." She replies.

"You passed out from using up so much energy from your battle with Palkia earlier." I explained.

"Oh...Whoops!" She went before sweat dropping a little.

I smiled a bit in response before pulling out and giving Yin the stuff I grabbed when I went out into Obsidian Fields for a little bit.

"For me? Aww...Thanks, Nightmare. That was really sweet of you." Yin says as she took the gifts and putted them away.

"No problem. Consider those as get well soon gifts from me." I replied before smiling and resting my head against hers.

Yin smiled back in return before she booped me by the nose and rubbed my back soothingly.

By the time the nurse came back after a few minutes later, she noticed Yin was conscious.

"Glad to see you're awake. How are you feeling?" She asked.

"Still a bit tired, but I feel well rested enough to walk around and head to my quarters until the festival starts." Yin answered as she stretched the tiredness out of her a little while yawning.

"Alright. The only thing I'll ask you to do is to take care of the head injury until it heals." She says.

"Gotcha. Thanks!"

Then the nurse letted Yin leave as I tagged along with her.

"I'll be honest, but, you nearly scared the living daylights out of me when you collapsed and passed out earlier." I say as I looked at her.
