The next day, I'm up before the sun as always, and to my surprise, I was one of the last of the girls awake. "Pariah's stinky socks! how early do you people get up around here?" I got several looks of confusion and shrugs all around. I huff and head out the door to the main part of the tower, grumbling jumping when a hand touches my shoulder then spins around my fist charged with and ecto blast only to come face to face with raven. In one second, I went from battle, ready to defused and relaxed. If not mildly embarrassed. Ravens only show of emotion was a quirked up eyebrow at my actions "a little jumpy are we?" She said in pure monotone "yeah sorry." I wasn't about to trauma dump on this girl on day one."Did you need something, or did you just wanna walk with me?" I say with a small grin and shuffling my feet "actually I wanted to ask about the person you mentioned. You said his name was Pariah?" I nod slightly confused "yeah what about him? You know him?" I ask, and she gives me the smallest nod."I know of him, actually from what I've heard, he was some kind dictator, but the books I've read are vague." I nod and gesture for her to walk with me."His name is Pariah Dark he was the second king of the ghost zone. From what I know, he was all powerful but not all-knowing. He was beaten twice and fully dethroned once, and he took my hometown into the ghost zone at one point. " her response was a raised eyebrow,"and how exactly was that fix?" She asked, to which I grin."I don't know how the town got back, but I know that it happened shortly after dad locked him back in his sarcophagus," while we were walking she lead me down to the training room where the boy wonder was attacking holograms with a sword "hey raven.....if you guys don't kill why does the broody shortstack practice kill shots?" I said in a soft tone."From what I know, he was raised the first ten years of his life by assassins. Then, the next four to five by the batman." I wince "sounds like an intense life. " I was looking at Raven while talking to her, so I didn't see it happen, but I heard several some things whizz through the air in our direction. I reacted and shot them out of the sky and glared at the boy who threw them. He made a come and got me a gesture, and I lunged, ignoring ravens call of my name. I struck the ground where he had been seconds ago, and it cracked. As I struck, he swung his sword. I went intangible at the last minute, and it went through me while I swung again, this time catching him in the chest, knocking him away. He slid and tumbled but stood back up and pointed his sword at my chest. In response, I made my own out of ecto energy, and he just grinned and adjusted into the ready position while I did the same. We waited, staring at each other, both of us tense and ready for action. With no audible signal, we launch at each other, crossing blades and stabbing at each other with rapid strikes that never hit. We jumped apart and geared up yo lunge again and just as we lunge I'm wrapped up in black energy as he's pinned by a green Bear and an Authorative voice calls out "THATS ENOUGH! Robin, Phantom stand down!" I look where the voice came from and saw to my surprise that the voice came from Kori of all people. I also saw raven who was glowing with the same black energy that held me with her arms stretched out towards me. Her eyes were glowing white 'she's beautiful' this thought shooting through my brain was enough to bring me to my senses and power down "I'm sorry Ms. Anders I shouldn't have acted like that. But in my defense he attacked first" her glare made me wince "I'm aware who attacked first. However I watched your attackes as I entered and had Robin's training not been as extensive as it is you could have hurt or even killed him do you even realize that?" I slumped against ravens energy cocoon as her words hit home. "Your right I'm sorry. I'm used to fight beings capable of getting as good as they get. I've never really had to pull my punches that much.....I guess I have something to learn after all" Kori smiles softly and nods "and thats why your here. We don't always know why someone shows up here but we know it's always for a reason. I chose to ask you to join because I saw your potential. I can only hope you do too." She gestured to raven and raven let me go. Without saying a word raven walked away. I was hurt but  I guess I had been reading things wrong. Maybe we hadn't become friends after all or more likely maybe I disappointed her by reacting how I did. I shrugged to myself and stood up and decided to just go hang out on the roof.
