Afterword
When I started writing this story, I had been so surprised (and somewhat horrified) with 'Love Never Dies' that I wanted to write a sequel to it, maybe even something better. Not that I think this book is better than 'Love Never Dies'; I think that would be up to the reader to decide. I think I just wondered what happened next, and that was where this book came from.
Far as I know, no one else has written a story where the Persian is a creep and a psycho. In Gaston Leroux's story, he was just 'The Persian' and Erik's friend. I know his name was Nadir Khan in Susan Kay's 'Phantom', but I haven't read it yet, so I decided to gave him a new name.
But there are fans who ship him with Erik, so...sorry about that. You know, for making him a creep and a psycho. And for bringing Raoul in to stab him to death. I honestly don't know where all that came from.
If anybody has any questions, thoughts, or feedback of any kind, feel free to comment. I would be happy to hear from you.
