Snake
The Phantom brings home a slithery surprise...
Erik walked into the door, his hands held behind his back. "Christine, Raoul, I did something rather impulsive." He confessed.
Christine stepped towards him, Raoul lingering in the background. "What did you do, dear?" Christine asked.
Erik brought his hands around and revealed himself to be holding a large python. "I bought a snake."
Christine screamed and fell backwards, Raoul catching her. She kept inching away from Erik and the creature. "You did WHAT!?" She screamed.
"He looked so sad, and nobody wanted him because he was ugly to them. I can relate to him very well." Erik sighed. He looked at Christine. "Don't be afraid of him! You'll learn to love him, just like you did me." He held the python closer to Christine.
She wriggled out of Raoul's arms and ran across the room, as far away from the snake as she could get. "No, Erik, you know I'm afraid of snakes!" She cried, tears forming in her eyes.
Erik panicked, trying to put the snake somewhere. "I'm sorry, angel! I will keep him far away from you." He cleared his throat. "So, what should I name him?"
Christine was nearly about to faint. "I don't care to suggest a name." She groaned. Raoul smiled and snapped his fingers. "William Snakespeare!"
Erik smiled. "Done! Now, come along, William Snakespeare, I'll show you to your living quarters." He walked the snake into his room, Christine jumping out of the way onto the couch. She sighed.
"I think I preferred the monkey music box."
