The Phantom has told Christine some tragic news, but it turns out he wasn't the one directly affected...

Christine was sitting on the couch in her dressing room in the opera house, looking at a photobook of her most recent operas, when Erik came into the room and sat right next to Christine. "I just ended a four year relationship." He said, abruptly. 

Christine gasped. "Oh, I'm so sorry, Erik! Four years is a very long time." She rubbed his arm. "Are you okay?" She asked, very concerned. 

Erik turned to look at her and broke into a smile and chuckled. "Hm? Oh yes, I'm fine." He continued to smile. Christine was puzzled. "You're completely fine? How could that be?"

Erik smirked at her. "It wasn't my relationship."

Suddenly, Christine could her Piangi and Carlotta fighting loudly in Italian in Carlotta's dressing room. "Oh Erik, what have you done?" Christine groaned, putting a head to her hand. 

Erik put his arm around her. "My due diligence, my dear."
