Chapter: Twenty-Six

I was walking down the halls when other agents, holding weapons started to jog towards me. I wasn't there mission at first, but then they saw my glowing eyes. Aiming their weapons at me. My arms rose and my hands formed fists bringing their weapons up and out of their hands. One hand had enough power to lift them all up off the ground and slam them into the ceiling an then the ground. I wanted to stop myself, but I felt almost drained of all energy. I could only watch myself and feel the vibrations of energy under my skin. My feet stopped suddenly when I saw one agent come out from behind a corner, unarmed.

"Jaedyn?" Chiseled features, dark hair and those bright green eyes. "Jae?"

"Your Alec?" I laughed, my arms crossing over my chest. "She should have realized what you were when you arrived," Slowly I began to step forwards, my eyes seeing what he was. Dark uniform, shield logo on the arm. He was a shield agent. "Go on Agent Walker, if that is your name. Explain yourself?"

"Jae... I-," My eyes opened wide and he was lifted up off the ground and brought over to me. "Jaedyn, I was going to tell you. I wanted to, the Director insisted I keep my cover as your boyfriend-"

"Cover!" I cut him off, my brows drawing together as I was pissed now. "I was just a mission to you, you lied to me. Was everything a lie!?" The more I yelled the tighter my grip got on his throat. "Did you even care about me or was I just some person you toyed with!?"

"Jaedyn!" Alec choked out, but I couldn't stop myself. I was just watching this all happen. "Stop, Jae. Your hurting me."

"Well, you hurt her!" I cried out and then he dropped, eyes closed. No blue hue to his skin, nothing he didn't move. My body dropped to the ground as I was granted control just to see what I did. Tears fell down my face as I brushed his dark hair away from his eyes. I pulled him onto my lap and wished I could have done something.

"What did you do, what did you do?! You killed him, Alec..." I muttered quietly, he looked asleep. But I knew better, he wasn't breathing.

"No, Jaedyn... You did," Slowly I set Alec down and wiped my eyes. My hand had had bent in an uncomfortable way and I had killed him, snapped his neck. I didn't have any control anymore. "Pathetic, you didn't know a spy was right under your nose." Again I started to walk down the street, making my way over to where the humming started to summon me. The door was broken off it's hinges and I spotted Loki still in the cell. A smirk on his lips as he turned to me.

"My lovely Jaedyn..." His voice sent chills up my arms, the world seemed to stand still as I walked closer to him. The only thing separating us was the glass, he motioned to the door lock. "Would you mind darling?" I nodded and lifted my hand energy lifted up the door lock, opening it. I teleported away when Loki motioned to the door. He put a finger up to his lips telling me to be silent for the time being and I vanished. Hiding away. Thor started towards the door and when he saw a fake Loki he went to tackle him. Not knowing it was fake in the first place. Everything changed now, Loki had shut the cell door trapping him. I was compromised, and Thor was stuck in a glass death trap.

Loki and I walked over to the cell, my arm grabbing Loki's. Thor's eyes saw me come out of the shadows, he then spotted the lines forming on my arms. I wanted this to stop.

"You are no longer in a place to want anything to stop you stupid child," My voice was echoing throughout the room. The way Thor looked to me, he was able to see that I wasn't there. "Yes, Thor of Asgard. The young Stark is... Taking some time off." I laughed shortly seeing Loki's way he smiled to me.

"You see Thor, as powerful as we are. The humans think us immortal. Should we test that?" Loki's voice echoed through the room. "And as much as I would love to see Jaedyn use her new found abilities upon you. She is going to restrain herself." I took a deep breath and nodded. That's when all attention was directed to Phil who was holding a phase two prototype weapon.

"Move away please," Phil commanded. The God slowly obliged as Thor watched on with a parted mouth, some blood still staining his face. The thunder God remained on his guard. He knew Loki too well to believe it would be that simple. "You like this?" Coulson said, stepping forward. Loki approached him with a slower pace, his hands kept visible as a gesture of good will. I only walked around in a circle, watching through the glass cell as Coulson began to step towards Loki. "Started working on the prototype after you sent the destroyer," He paused. "Even I don't know what it does," Coulson pressed a button and the weapon buzzed into live, emitting a gentle orange glow. "You wanna find out?" He asked. Suddenly, his eyes widened and his mouth fell open as something sharp plunged into his back.

"No!!!" Thor's voice boomed and he threw himself at the glass, crying out in horror. The image of the submissive Loki faded from existence as the real one pulled a knife from Coulson's back, allowing the agent to tumble to the floor. I yelled out in anger the Tesseract causing my whole body to be engulfed in a blue light. Quickly I took control as I screamed out and fell to my knees, a wave sent Loki back and I dug my nails into my palms. I watched as Loki stood up and returned to the control panel with agonizing slowness, his scepter in hand and his brother panting with a clenched jaw. He ignored my wave that I attacked him with and he gestured to his newfound weapon that glowed a brilliant blue, matching the cracks that started opening on my skin to glow. Spinning round, he lifted the cover of the button and made to press it, only for his hand to still. Thor grunted.

"Why torment me Loki? If you must be rid of me, then do so quickly," Thor spoke lowly looking to me now, seeing the glow along my skin.

"I... I can't," He stammered, grinding his teeth. Thor furrowed his brow, it was unlikely that his brother had now found his sentimentality and sense which could only mean one thing: he physically couldn't move. In the corner of his eyes, Loki saw something move. Me. He had turned his head to look at me but I quickly vanished and appeared behind him. I rose my hands, bringing them into my chest before I shot them forward knocking Loki back against the wall. He grunted in anger, quickly getting to his feet. I fell to my knee in pain and my whole body rippled with the blue energy. "Clever girl indeed."

"Lady Stark. Do not approach him." Thor warned but I paid no mind, glancing over at him before I continued to get back up to my feet raising my arms once more to throw him. He put one hand up and aimed the scepter at me, I glared and felt the power from the Tesseract power up.

"Be a smart girl Jaedyn... You should listen to Thor," Loki smirked.

"And why would I take advice from you?" I asked him. Loki raised an inquisitive eyebrow. I took a step towards him, my eyes narrowing to him. I felt the energy roll off me and form around his body. I used all my strength and control to hold him still.

"Jaedyn, release me," Loki's voice was low, giving me a cold stare that could cut into a normal persons soul, but I wasn't normal. Never have been.

"He's faking it Lady Ja-," Thor began and I fluttered by fingers, Loki lifting a few inches off the ground.

"Believe me, he's not. He's not going anywhere..." My voice low, solemn. I heard Loki chuckle as he could now see that I was getting control of this so called gift I have. "Are you going to go back quietly? Or am I going to have to do something I'd really rather not?" I asked, allowing my energy to move towards me more, tightening my grip around him more. "All it would take would be a quick move and I could break you. You've killed someone who I was starting to care about," Loki laughed looking to me.

"You have heart, but you're not a killer," He spat. Somehow it was supposed to be an insult. I shifted my hand, it shaking slightly. I could feel the power start to overwhelm me. "Your skills are very powerful."

"Yes. They are." I grumbled looking to him. "And you... You don't know me..." I felt the warm liquid of blood run over my top lip, coming from my nose. "I or whoever is inside my body with me, made me kill someone. You made me kill someone I cared about,"

"Your abilities are so powerful that somebody like me might sense their presence..." My face fell and I felt Loki vanish, my power dropping. I was pinned to the ground the scepter against my neck. "You are weak. You do not have the control yet, though you could be a powerful being at my side, as powerful as-." I yelled out at the top of my lungs, watching Loki fly backwards, cracking his head on the glass wall. Thor stood there in awe, though it faded as Loki started to get to his feet.

"I am not weak," I spat, holding a hand over my throat where the point of his scepter had dug in and drawn blood. "I was just being mild." He stumbled to his feet, hair disheveled and a crazed look etched into his eyes. Tightening his grip on the scepter, he hunched over and growled at me.

"Let me pass," His voice spoke low.

"You didn't say please," I retorted before Loki lunged at me, driving his scepter forward. Thor could only watch in fear as I battled his brother, landing several lucky punches on his jaw and stopping his arm every time he tried to stab me. I was nimble enough and quick but Loki was even more so. Quickly I found myself struggling to keep up and he caught onto it.

"You are failing, my dear," He said, his hand stroked my face before vanishing again.

"Don't worry. I won't make it too easy for you," I said, spinning around kicking him in the gut and watching him recoil a little. Loki beamed profusely as he fought me, though he was moving too quickly for me to see at times. His hands were a blur as he slashed, sliced, and stabbed at me. Each time I was just about to avoid it I felt the burning sensation within my hands intensify. The scepter blade was about to cut me as I stopped it with my bare hands, the blue smoke engulfing both the scepter blade and my hands. I met his eyes, we both stared back at each other wide eyed. We both lingered on each other while I smirked quickly. Swinging my leg out and tripping the trickster so that he fell against the metal floor. I dropped from the energy depletion, my eyes closing. Listening to Loki grunt as he stood up, his footsteps nearing me. Thor was crying out words I couldn't make out what he was talking about. I rolled onto my side, opening my eyes, peaking over to Thor. I looked over to Phil and quickly teleported over to him, my eyes widening at the sight of the blood. He was dying, and I could have stopped this.

"No no. Your gonna be okay," I pressed my hand to his chest to try and stop the bleeding but I didn't know it was that bad. The blood soaked his shirt and my hands. "Don't close your eyes please. Phil don't go..." He lightly chuckled to me and grunted in pain but he patted my hand and nodded.

"Your gonna be just fine..." He patted my arm once before the anger I had flooded my body. I stood up and teleported in between the control switch and Loki, I felt her wanting out but I kept my anger as my own only, not hers. He saw my finger tips and how the energy I produced was forming along my hands. I looked to Loki, and gripped his outfit tightly.

"You. You..." I couldn't say anything but that. My eyes were brimming tears and I went to punch him, but he vanished. I spun around and he gave Thor one last look, Thor full of hope. The hatch opened and Loki hit the button, Thor and the cell dropped down. I ran towards the edge and was about to jump off to see if I could do something, anything. Loki grabbed me by my stomach and forced me away. I fell to my knees and looked to Loki. He had no remorse as he looked down. He closed the hatch and proceeded to leave, but he saw me and he couldn't leave me. I knew he couldn't leave me. I couldn't breathe yet alone talk. My vision was blurry, but I could see it was Loki who was kneeling by my side.

"You're gonna lose. It's in your nature," Phil's voice spoke, so weak. I could hear that he was going to die relatively soon. My apologizes young one, but your friend is dying, he would not survive.

"Your heroes are scattered, your floating fortress falls from the sky, where is my disadvantage?" Loki asked looking over to me. "The young Stark is losing her mind," I felt his eyes on me as he said the last words.

"You lack conviction," Phil said, I noticed he was reaching for the phase two prototype, I smirked very softly as Loki looked from me to Phil. I felt my body humming and when my eyes started to burn I knew I was losing control once more.

"I don't think I..." Loki began but agent Phil Coulson shot the weapon prototype at Loki.

"Watch Out!" I yelled out and my body acted against me, quickly tackling him, taking the brunt of the weapon. But there was a marvelous bright light that illuminated my body that was hit and I didn't feel any pain. The blast though had caused us to be blown through the wall, we hit the wall and I landed less than a foot away from Loki. He was the first to regain his attention to the situation. I felt a jolt of energy wanting to escape my body once more. I shook my head, not wanting any of it to happen. I didn't want this, I didn't want to lose control and watch myself kill another person.

"You saved me... Come little one," He muttered, placing an arm under my neck and legs, lifting me up. I looked up into Loki's eyes and I wriggled in his arms trying to get away but it didn't work. "You will not die today. You are still of use to me," I scratched at his arm and he dropped me, I tried to get away but he grabbed my wrists pinning me to the ground. Him whispering in my ear caused my body to have chills along my arms. "Where are you going darling the fun as just started," I tried to push away from him but he didn't budge, him being taller and stronger than me didn't help. He flipped me around and gripped my jaw tightly, forcing me to look at him. "You know pet, you will soon learn to appreciate things when they come to you," As he said that, my eyes flashed and it sent him back to the wall.

"You think your hurting me but I'm finding this much more enjoyable," My voice echoed, and I could tell my control was fading quickly. "Your plan sucks. Kidnapping and Holding me against my will. Isn't the way to win a girl over."

"Well you're lucky I didn't take control of your mind. Your lucky that you already have one already doing that for me. I could have taken control, overwhelm your mind and make it unravel only so that I could tell you what to do," His arms snaked around my body once more and I had tried to escape though that didn't work. "Well, well, Jaedyn. My pet. I think it's time to do something, how you said, more enjoyable," He whispered as my consciousness faded and he picked me up adjusting one arm under my legs and the other under my neck.

Tony raced down the hall, after the whole Helicarrier seemed to be silent. There was a deathly silence that made Tony's heart go to his throat, he had a bad feeling about this all. He hadn't heard any word from Jaedyn over the coms they shared. Turning down one hall there was a broken wall, and a few bodies with sheets over them. Turning the corner he reached the empty cell room. Phil's blood plastered on the wall from where he had fell against it. A hole in the wall caught his eye only for a moment as Steve was coming in with his arms crossed.

"Was he married?" The Captains voice interrupted the silence, bringing Tony back out of his state of mind, though he continued to stare at the place that was a cell.

"There was a... cellist. I think," Tony said looking at the area. He could almost feel the energy his daughter had still lingering. He still didn't know where she was and as a father it was almost horrible to not know where she was. Again.

"I'm sorry. He seemed like a good man," Steve's words showed he cared, but in all reality he didn't know anything about Coulson other than what they had told him.

"He was an idiot," Tony snapped turning and looking to Steve, the anger on Tony's face was just a mask that was hiding the fact that he was scared for his daughter, wherever she was.

"Why? For believing?" Steve asked, raising his voice only for a moment understanding why Tony had raised his voice.

"For taking on Loki alone," Tony said shaking his head. The two men continued to bicker for a little longer until Steve had really gathered why Tony was acting so.

"He was doing his job. Just as Jaedyn was- is," The Captain quickly fixed is last sentence but truth be told he didn't know if Jaedyn was alive. He hoped for her sake, she was a good kid, a little out of her depth with the whole situation but she was forced in the situation because of Loki.

"Rogers, where is Jaedyn, where is my daughter?" Tony took a step towards Steve, threateningly. In all honest, Steve was slightly frightened by Tony only for the fact that his daughter was missing. Steve otherwise isn't scared by the shorter and less stronger man. "Where is my daughter?"

"Did you not see the video feed?" Steve questioned, Tony's head shaking, no. "Jaedyn, fought Loki. And she was quite impressive, when Coulson was injured she fought her best against Loki. And she seemed to be winning for a while, although he eventually got the better of her and Loki," Tony seemed taken back as to hear those words speaking about Jaedyn. "What the video also showed was her about to jump out trying to save Thor when he fell, but Loki grabbed her and stopped her. When Phil activated the Phase Two weapon, something in Jaedyn changed. She threw herself in front of the blast, shielding Loki with herself."

"So she's hurt?" Tony asked, his voice showing worry.

"No, not from what I saw, her body had the same energy it normally did when her abilities activated. It was strange, it was almost as if she absorbed the blast. After she did that she remained still on the ground. Loki tried to take her, she fought back the best she could though. Loki took her with him," Steve put his hands behind his back as any soldier would while they were waiting for orders.

"So Loki has her... Killed Agent Coulson and kidnapped my my daughter?" Tony threw his hands up obviously frustrated with the whole thing.

"I'm sure she's fine Tony, if she takes after you she has your brains. She'll think of something," Steve asked. "Is this the first time you've lost a soldier?"

"We are not soldiers!" Tony turned sharply to Steve. "All I want right now. My daughter. I am not marching to Fury's fife!"

"Neither am I! He's got the same blood on his hands as Loki does. Right now we've got to put that aside and get this done. Now Loki needs a power source, if we can put together a list..."

"He made it personal," Tony said looking at the blood... Phil's blood plastered on the wall.

"That's not the point," Steve said slightly bitterly Tony's eyes rolled as he looked at the Captain.

"That is the point. That's Loki's point. He hit us all right where we live. Why? Why would he want go hit us where we live, he killed people that we care for," Tony said pacing slightly. "Took the people that we care for..."

"To tear us apart. I saw what happened with Jaedyn when she saw that Phil had died," The two men looked to the room, seeing the wall that both her and Loki were blasted through. "She used whatever she could to control Loki and I think if she could she would have killed him. You heard what happened to the other Agent right?"

"Agent Walker?" Tony sighed rubbing his eyes. "I knew there was something wrong with that guy. He was an agent, not some police officer. And he was in my daughter's life. Fury is really starting to piss me off with all these secrets that concern my daughter."

"He had to conquer his greed, but he knows he has to take us out to win, right? That's what he wants. He wants to beat us and he wants to be seen doing it. He wants an audience," Tony spoke once more breaking the silence.

"Right, I caught his act at Stuttgart," Steve said reminding them all that Jaedyn was the first to get up close and personal with Loki, at Stark Tower.

"Yeah. That's just a preview, this is opening night. Loki's a full-tilt diva. He wants flowers, he wants parades, he wants a monument built in the skies with his name plastered..." Tony but that's when it hit him too. "SonOfABitch."
