Dan and Phil finally pulled themselves together enough to prepare to leave. Their already slightly miss-kept appearance was now even worse after practically running and rolling all over their house.

They both stared into the bathroom mirror, fiddling with their hair to get it just right.

"You know," Dan started while patting down a few wild curls, "our fans are always like, "omg their hair is, like, so perfect!" But I don't really see it."

Phil smirked and looked at Dan's reflection in the mirror. "Hey, speak for yourself. This new hairstyle suits me." He turned back to his reflection and frowned slightly at a piece that wouldn't stay in its spot.

"Anything will suit you after having emo hair for literally like, half your life." Dan replied, putting his hands on his hips and glaring at a certain piece of hair. "It's like you've been living in a dump all your life and then moving to a run down building. It's not a good place to live but you think it's great since a dump is all you've known."

Phil stared at Dan. "I have no idea what you just said," he said laughing.

Dan groaned and rolled his eyes. He squinted in the mirror as he tried to fix the recalcitrant curl. "Long story short, anything is better than that emo hair."

"You're just jelly mine is more trendy than yours."

"Whatever."

Dan and Phil strolled into the grocery store, standing out like skyscrapers in a small village. It wasn't a new thing for people to turn their heads and stare at them, but when they caught their eye contact, they would snap their heads back to what they were doing. Dan and Phil were used to it by now. In fact it was quite funny to see the adults try to hide the shock on their face, or kids mouths handing open.

Of course, being tall has its disadvantages. They're lanky as well as tall, and not very well coordinated. That means that they knock things off the shelf, bump into people, and run into displays sitting on the ground.

So they generally tried to avoid causing disaster and just not go outside, but this time they had no choice.

Dan sighed when he saw all the people in the store. "Phil, they've invented online shopping. Why can't we just use that?" He swerved around someone standing in then middle of the aisle talking on their phone.

Phil smiled sweetly at Dan, taking his hand and giving it a little squeeze. "We can't avoid people all our lives Dan. Besides," he chuckled, "this means we've filled our social quota for the month."

Dan huffed but didn't say anything else about the matter. "So, what's on the shopping list?"

"Bread, milk, olive oil, apples, tortillas, cheese-" Phil made a face. "-hot dogs, marshmallows-"

Dan had been nodding thoughtfully at each item Phil listed but gave him a confused look. "Are we doing a baking video or something?"

Phil pretended not to know why he was asking. "No.. why?"

"There's marshmallows on the list."

Phil dropped the act and smiled brightly at Dan. "I know, I put them there!"

Dan sighed, closing his eyes and holding a hand up to his face. Phil knew it was to hide his blush. He did it often during videos whenever Phil would say something ridiculous. Dan pretended to be so done with Phil's weirdness, but really found it adorable. He wouldn't admit it, of course, but Phil knew his boyfriend well.

*cough* Very well.

~Time skipy~

"Can we go home?"

"Dan, we still have a lot more things to buy."

"But my feet hurt!" Dan whined, slouching and dragging his feet.

"C'mon Dan, we'll only be here for like 15 more minutes."

"That's practically half my life!"

Phil rolled his eyes at his boyfriend. He really was the dramatic one. But he still felt bad. He could tell Dan's feet were really starting to hurt, but they couldn't leave yet. Taking two trips is just a waste of time. But he hated seeing his bear in pain. Phil internally groaned at the decision of what to do.

An idea came to his mind and he giggled gleefully.

Dan raised an eyebrow but then returned back to what he was doing; pouting and staring at the floor. Phil meanwhile, was busy moving everything in the cart to the back of it, fitting them together to take up the least amount of space. He giggled again.

"Hey Dan~" he called sweetly, "I've got the answer to your problems."

Dan brought his eyes up from the floor to Phil's eyes. "What?"

Phil pretended to make it out as the most obvious thing. "Your problems.. You know, what you've been complaining about for 20 minutes straight."

Dan narrowed his eyes at Phil. "You mean... my dying feet?"

"Yep! I've got a solution."

Dan gave Phil a oh-boy-it's-gonna-be-something-ridiculous-I-can-tell look. "Right, okay.. I'm scared to know, but what is it."

Phil silently motived towards the halfway filled cart.

Dan's eyes widened in realization. "Oh no, no way am I getting in there- I-I couldn't fit anyway-" Phil gave Dan a look. "Phil I'm gonna look ridiculous!" Dan whined at the end.

Phil gave Dan puppy eyes. Dan stared at him for awhile, looked around, then sighed and put his hands on the cart edge. Phil clapped giddily. Dan looked around for people one last time before lifting one of his long legs up high and stepping in the cart. He craned his neck to look at Phil. "You're gonna have to help me if you want any hope of me getting in here without breaking every bone in my body."

Phil stepped up so he was by the cart and Dan. Dan put his hands on Phil's shoulders and used him to steady himself as he put the other leg in the cart. He was now hslfway sitting on the cart edge while still having one arm on Phil's shoulder.

"Alright, I'm almost in." Dan said slowly, as if scared saying it too quickly would make him fall backwards. "But don't move while I stand up to sit in the cart in case I-" He suddenly started flailing his arms while he tipped back slightly. Phil leaped forward and pushed against his back, pushing him back up. Dan released the breath he was holding. "That.. was way too close." With cautious movements he stood up enough to turn so he was facing forward. He sat down but had to stick his legs out the front to sit comfortably.

Phil laughed, his tongue sticking out the side of his mouth and pulled out his phone to take a picture. "Aw, you look so cute!"

Dan stared at Phil, slightly glaring. "If this cart breaks or we get kicked out the store it's your fault."

"Dan they aren't going to kick us out of the store for you being in a cart. And it's not gonna break, it's made of metal."

"Yeah, my butt knows."

Phil giggled again and started pushing the cart. "Oomph, my goodness Dan what have you been eating? Bricks?"

"No Phil, that's probably the 3 gallons of ice cream you have in here."

"Shhh, we don't-grunt-want the whole world knowing how much of pigs we are!"

"You mean you are. I haven't put a single thing in this cart."

"Other than yourself," Phil pointed out, laughing.

Dan rolled his eyes. "Whatever."

Phil continued to put his whole body into pushing Dan around the store, occasionally picking things from the shelf and throwing them into Dan's lap.

Dan was immensely enjoying watching Phil trying to push him around the store. He knew the unfit man was losing steam, but he wanted to keep watching to see how long he was willing to go.

"Alright," Phil said, staring in concentration at his list while slightly panting, "I'm pretty sure.. we have everything."

Dan gasped dramatically and turned his head upside down to look at Phil behind him, pushing the cart. "I thought this day would never come! I was ready to go and sleep on a pile of toilet role packages."

Phil laughed. "No, you can sleep in a bed tonight. Your feet will get some proper rest then. But right now," Phil stopped pushing the cart down the aisle. "You've gotta get out, mister. I cant push anymore or else my arms are going to break off."

Dan groaned loudly, still hanging his head upside down. "But Phiiiiil," he whined, "we can still checkout like this, I can even hand you things."

"You won't be able to hand me anything if I arms are laying in the middle of the aisle."

Dan closed his eyes and crossed his arms. "Well I'm not moving," he said stubbornly."

Phil leaned down towards Dan. "What if I give you a little-"

"Phil you tried that earlier, it ended in you being nearly tickled to death."

Phil gave him a quick, loving peck on the lips. He leaned back up and stared at Dan, concentration written on his face. Then an evil grin grew on his face. Dan grew worried. "I know that look. Don't you dare do anything stupid or I swear on my mother's grave I am never coming shopping with you again."

Phil hesitated for a moment but then shrugged and said, "it'll be worth it."

He started pushing Dan. Dan was confused. How was this worthy of an evil grin? But Phil didn't stop pushing. He threw his whole body into it and pushed Dan faster and faster and faster-

He took his hands off the cart and waved at Dan sailing down the aisle. Dan, afraid of crashing into something, stuck his feet out in front of him and his arms in front of his face. He squealed when the cart lightly bumped into a wall, then was still.

Faster than you could say Dan, he was out of the cart and pushing it towards the checkouts. Phil came jogging down the aisle, gasping and laughing. He put a hand on his chest and wheezed out, "Oh my- that was the best thing I have ever seen! You should've seen how ridiculous you looked!" Phil burst into a new bout of laughter, tears running down his cheeks. Dan just glared at him the whole entire time, and when Phil stopped laughing, he said, "You're the absolute worst."

Phil kissed Dan's cheek, smiling still. "You love me."

"I'll love you later, I'm too busy being mad right now."

They checked out all the items and called a cab to get home. Once home, they set the bags on the counter, put away the refrigerated and cold things, and left the other things on the counter. Phil started putting them away, but Dan grabbed his hand and pulled him towards himself. Phil's eyes were on the things sitting on the counter. "Dan, if we don't put them away now they'll-"

Dan pressed his lips against Phil's, kissing him deeply. Phil melted into the kiss, wrapping his arms around Dan's waist. Dan put his hands behind Phil's neck, pulling him even closer. He lightly pressed Phil up against the counter. They broke away only when their lungs begged for air, even then they stayed inches apart.

"What was that for?" Phil asked softly, breathing heavily.

Dan blushed, but kept eye contact and said, "I just.. haven't gotten to kiss you for a few hours."

Phil's face leaped into a smile. "Aw, did you miss my kisses?"

Dan blushed darker and cast his eyes to the floor: a silent yes. Phil gently lifted Dan's head to meet his eyes.

"I love you bear," he said softly.

Dan smiled, his eyes shining, and said, "I love you too, lion."
