There is only one reason why Phil hates going to this place. He hates that he has to leave. Phil had started volunteering at an asylum, for the insane and the mentally disturbed. He has always found it fascinating to see how people think when they are like that. It is almost the same as it in in movies, people in straight jackets, people scratching at the wall, and so on. None of it scared Phil though, he just got more interested and that is why Phil has been working here for about a month. 

One inmate has stuck out in particular to the blue eyed man. His name was Dan and he has brown, curly hair, and beautiful brown eyes that hide so many mysteries. Phil always talks to Dan whenever he can, he is just so intrigued by the man. Dan is a few years younger than Phil but that doesn't bother Phil at all. Phil gets snapped out of his thoughts when he sees movement, he looks up at Dan. He is in Dan's room. The room is just white and there is a door that blends in with the room. There is a bed where Dan is currently sitting. Phil sits up straighter in his chair and smiles at Dan. "How are you today Dan?" Phil watches as Dan just stares at something that he can't see. Dan looks at Phil and smiles a huge smile that would make the Joker himself jealous.  

Phil looks at Dan and scans his body with his eyes. Dan is tall, taller than Phil. He is very thin and he has dimples, and he his cheeks are sunk in but Phil's favorite things about Dan was his hair and eyes. Dan starts mumbling to himself in the corner of the room. Dan puts his back against the wall and rests his head against the wall as he looks up at the ceiling. Dan starts laughing and Phil has found his favorite noise. Phil doesn't know what Dan is laughing at but he doesn't care. Phil starts chuckling too, because of Dan's contagious laughter. 

Dan suddenly stops and Phil looks at the brown haired man in confusion. Dan's eyes start getting wide and he looks at Phil with a scared look on his face. Phil's breathing stops for a second and he can feel his heart doing the same. Dan starts breathing heavily and Phil stands up and goes over to Dan and sits next to him, Dan continues looking at Phil with wide eyes and his breathing rapid. Phil rubs Dan's back. "Dan? Dan, what's wrong?" Phil asks worriedly.  The brown eyed mans eyes start filling up with tears and he mumbles, "They want to kill m-me." Tears fall from Dan's eyes and Dan puts his head on Phil's shoulder and hugs Phil while he cries. "Who wants to kill you Dan?" 

"She does."

"Who is she?"

"She is..." Dan replies and points at a different part of the room, Phil looks over and sees nothing. Phil looks back at the fragile boy in his arms, "No one is here to hurt you Dan, besides I would never let anyone hurt you." Phil reassures Dan. Dan's breathing calms down but the tears aren't slowing down much. 

Dan jumps and so does Phil when there is banging on the door and a guard opens the door. He is tall and sort of muscular. He has green eyes and brown hair, "Time to go Phil." He says as he glares at Dan. Phil nods sadly and starts moving away from Dan. Dan Panics and grabs onto Phil and starts sobbing louder, "P-please d-d-don't go!" Dan screams. Phil tries to get Dan off of him explaining he has too but Dan won't let go so the guard comes over and forcibly pulls Dan off of Phil and throws Dan onto the ground where Dan continues crying. "Don't hurt him!" Phil yells at the guard. The guard moves away from Dan and pushes Phil out of the room, "I will be back Dan, I promise! I won't let them hurt you again!" Phil yells as the door closes. He starts walking away from the door and he starts hearing banging and screaming and Phil's hearts breaks into millions of pieces.  He feels like he is going to cry, but he keeps walking as he hears the yelling and screaming fade. He hates leaving but he has too. 

A tear rolls down Phil's face when he can't hear the screams and cries anymore. 

Phil hates leaving this place, he hates leaving Dan alone.

But what can he do? Nothing.
