Anika made Pari sleep in the baby cot. Shivaay was noticing her each and every action keenly. Anika made Pari sleep on her left hand side and patted her back a little. She covered her with a baby blanket.

S- Why did you made her sleep like this?

A- It's just that this position will help her in digesting the milk.

S- Wow.. You know a lot about babies. Did you had one?

Shivaay said mishcheivously and Anika glared at him.

Anika went to kitchen and started making dinner. Shivaay came to the kitchen and stood beside her. Anika was busy in making pasta.

S- Wow. It smells amazing. Can I have some?

Anika looked at him and glared.

A- Why? I don't think that there's a board written 'Anika's all time diner', hanging on the door of my kitchen? Is it?

Shivaay made a puppy face and sat on the chair.

S- I'm sorry. I was just little hungry as I skipped my breakfast and lunch as well. But it's okay don't take troubles for me. I'll sleep with empty stomach.

Shivaay said with a sad pout.

S(thinks) - This trick always works. Let's see. In 10 seconds, she'll ask me to have dinner with her. 10.... 9..... 8...... 7...... 6..... 5...... 4..... Will she really not give me dinner... Oh no... 3.... 2.....

A- Umm.. Psycho

Shivaay looked at her with a wide smile.

S- Yes Nutsy.

A- You can have dinner with me. It's not like that I'm offering you food or something but I think I cooked more of it and I really don't want to waste it. So you can have it.

Shivaay smiled widely.

S- Don't worry. I won't let it waste.

A- Fine.

Anika served the food in two plates and handed over one plate to Shivaay.

S- Thanks.

A- Hmm.

They went to the dining area and settled themselves.

S- Umm.. You really make amazing food. It's yummy. Where did you learn from?

A- Miss Mary taught me cooking.

S- Miss. Mary?

A- My orpganage's owner.

S- Oh. But I really loved your cooked food. From now, I've decided that we'll have breakfast and dinner together, that too, cooked by you.

A- Don't you think, you are taking too much liberty?

S- Oopsy. But you know what, girls kill each other to have food with me, I mean, not literally, but yes.

A- You know I can also kill.

S- Oh! Don't be jealous of those girls. They are nothing in front of you. By the way who do you want to kill?

Anika picked up a knife and pointed towards him with a smirk.

A- You.

Shivaay's eyes widened in horror.

S- You took it seriously? I was just joking around.

Shivaay said while chuckling nervously. Anika smirked.

A- Better.

They finished the dinner. Anika was cleaning the kitchen and Shivaay just stood there.

S- Nutsy.

A- Hmm.

S- We have decided to nurture Pari but we can't take her to college, right. We also can't leave her alone in the house. So what are we going to do?

A- Umm.. For the first time, in your life, you've said something reasonable.

S(whines) - Nutsy.

A- Ok. Don't worry about that. I've already talked to my friend who is, luckily a babysitter so when we'll be at college, she'll look after Pari.

S- Wow. You are always two steps ahead. By the way, is she hot, I mean, your friend?

Anika glared at him. She threw the vegetable peels in the bin angrily.

A- Do you want me to throw you in this dustbin like these peels?

S- No it's ok. I'm good here. Anyways I won't fit in that.

Anika glared at him.

A- Now go to your apartment. I'm feeling sleepy.

Anika was about to leave to her room when Shivaay stopped her.

S- Nutsy.

A- Now what?

S- Umm.. Can I stay in your home tonight?

Anika frowned at him and crossed her arms at her chest.

A- May I ask 'why'?

S- Just For Pari. I want to stay around her. Please. I promise I won't trouble you. I'll sleep on the couch in your bedroom. Pleeeeeeaaaaassssseee.

Shivaay said while stressing on Please.

A- Ok. Ok. But if I heard a single sound from you then I'll cut your vocal cords and throw it in the bin.

Shivaay looked at Anika horrified and nodded her head.

Shivaay poked her shoulder with his index finger.

A- What?

Shivaay looked at her and started doing some sign language.

A- What are you doing? Speak up.

Shivaay sighed in relief.

S- I'm going to my house to change into my night wear. I'll be back so please don't lock me out. Ok.

A- Ok.

S- No. First do pinky promise.

A- What's that?

Shivaay showed his pinky finger and linked it with her pinky finger.

S- Pinky promise. If you'll break the pinky promise then you have to cut your pinky finger.

A- What?

S- Yes that's the rule. So remember our promise.

Anika sighed in irritation and went inside her room.

Shivaay went to his apartment to change his clothes.

After sometime, Shivaay returned with a blanket and pillow.

He entered her room and was stunned to see the beauty standing in front of him.

Anika was standing in front of the mirror and drying her hair with hair dryer.

Anika noticed Shivaay standing at the door with his mouth wide open.

A- Don't you know that there's a etiquette which is called Knocking?

Shivaay came out of his trance and looked at her.

S- Umm.. Wo... Do you always wear this while sleeping?

A- Yes. Do you have any problem? Do you want me to sleep with a saree on?

S(thinks) - Wow. She's my neighbour and how can I not see that she's an epitome of beauty. She wears this every night then I want to spend my every night here. No.. No.. Shivaay.. Stop your perverted mind.

Anika noticed him from head to toe.

A- Nice caption on your T-shirt.

S- Really? When I bought this, I thought it will perfectly suit me.

A- Ya right. Now Cut the crap and go to sleep wherever you want.

Shivaay nodded and adjusted the pillow and blanket on the couch.

Anika checked on Pari and Patted her chest softly as she was stirring in sleep. Anika kisses her forehead and went to her bed to sleep.

She lied down on her bed and covered herself with blanket. In no time, she drifted to sleep. Shivaay also slept.

It was midnight when Shivaay's sleep broke due to Pari's cries.

Shivaay immediately went towards the baby cot and picked up Pari in his arms. He started cooing her but Pari was continuously crying.

He noticed that Pari's having goosebumps so he thought that she might be feeling cold due to AC. He looked at Anika who was sleeping peacefully.

S- It's not right to wake her up in the middle of night. Anyways, she had very tiring day emotionally and physically.

He took Pari's blanket and took her to the living room. He switched on the fan and a lamp and sat on the couch with Pari in his lap.

S- It's okay baby. See we're out of that iceland. Now you won't feel cold.

Shivaay rubbed her back to calm her down. Now Pari was just sniffing a little.

Shivaay partially lied down on the couch and made Pari lye down on his chest. He started rubbing her back to make her sleep.

After some time, Shivaay and Pari both slept in the same position.
