"WHY ARE THEY NEVER ON TIME!" nika sighed and laid her head on the table. she was currently in a café, waiting for her fellow members to arrive.

"i'm surprised you haven't gotten used to that by now."
yubin laughed. she was the only member who was always on time. she hated being late.

"i mean yeah, but they should stop making out every second of the day, it gets in the way of everything! "

"it's young love, you shouldn't be so harsh on them. besides, you're the one who always flirts with eunseo." yubin exclaimed.
"yah! I'm not flirting with her, we're just friends." 
nika said, blushing a bit.

"just because we don't use honorifics with each other doesn't mean you don't have to be polite, child" yubin let out, slightly frustrated.
before nika could say anything else, she saw siyeon and bora entering the coffee shop.
"and the lovebirds are here ~" yubin giggled. bora rolled her eyes and sat next to nika. siyeon took a place next to yubin.

"ahh, you just love being early." the youngest member smiled sarcastically. yubin looked at her with a scolding gaze, nika just shrugged.

"nika, stop being a cockblocker." siyeon smiled at her. bora nodded and nika caught eye contact with yubin, genuinely not knowing what to say. both of the girls cleared their throats.

"well let's figure out what we're going to play at the battle of bands." yubin started.

all four girls were in a band together. bora was their drummer, nika was the guitarist, yubin was the bassist and siyeon was their main vocalist.

"i wanted to suggest queen. we can always impress the audience with some classics. of course, we will add some of our flavour." yubin continued. nika nodded eagerly. she was such a big fan of queen.

"do you think i can pull a freddie mercury on stage?" siyeon asked. bora caressed her girlfriend's cheek.
"of course honey, you'll nail it. you're the most talented person i know." bora said tenderly.

nika looked at yubin, holding in her laughter. yubin looked like she was about to lose her patience.

"ahh i don't know if I'll be able to pull off brian may's guitar solo." nika sighed dramatically. yubin grabbed her hand and kissed her palm.

"you'll do great, baby." yubin said. after that, both of them burst out laughing.

'why the hell is she so attractive? ' nika thought. at the art school they all went to, yubin was titled the most attractive woman of their year. she was quite popular among all students, but no one knew anything about her. no one except their friend group. and nika just LOVED to be asked about yubin. by total strangers.
nika sighed and came back to her senses. siyeon and bora rolled their eyes but agreed on a few queen songs and they were all settled. the lovebirds decided to leave early and it was just nika and yubin left.

"i think i'll go home. i still have to finish up some lyrics." maknae said, standing up. yubin stood up immediately after her.

"i'll walk you home." she said, putting her jacket on. they walked out of the café and headed in the direction of nika's flat.

"so-" yubin started. "how are things going with eunseo?" she asked. nika could sense her smirking. she rolled her eyes.

"how many times do i have to tell you that we are just friends."  she sighed.

"just friends my ass. i can see the way she's looking at you." yubin clicked her tongue. "you should get together already."

"the 'flirting' is just a big ass joke. she's not being serious." nika said.

"or is she?"

"stop making me confused. she doesn't see me as anything other than a best friend. i'm sure of that." nika said.

she was saying the truth. son eunseo and her were just best friends. there was no way that she could like her that way. just no way.

just a moment later they arrived in front of nika's apartment complex.

"see you tomorrow? i don't know if minji unnie told you but her and yoohyeon have a gig booked at the local bar."

"well i haven't talked to minji unnie since last week's meet-up, but yoohyeon unnie texted me about that. I'll probably be there earlier, since i'm going to help them set up their mics and stuff." nika smiled at the older girl.
"why do you never call me unnie? i'm the same age as yoohyeon." yubin rolled her eyes.
"i don't know if you remember the conversation we had the moment we became a band, but you said that it'll be more comfortable if we won't use the honorifics." the younger winked at  her bandmate. she heard her whispering 'yeah and i deeply regret that.'

"now if you'll excuse me, i plan to take a long bath and finish my school work"
yubin rolled her eyes again and proceed to take the younger into a warm embrace.

nika always thought that her hugs were super comforting. she loved them. but of course, she would never tell that yubin. cause she likes to tease. she gave in to the hug and after a moment backed off from the embrace.

"i have to go now, see ya!" and with that nika entered her flat. it was a rather small apartment but it was cozy.

nika threw her bag on the kitchen counter and took her shoes off. after that she happily headed to take a hot steamy bath for relaxation. that's what she needed at that moment.

after changing into her pyjamas, she sat on the couch with a notebook. and that notebook was her lyric book. just as she told yubin, she had to finish the song she started writing some time ago. she would never tell the older girl what was the topic of the song though.

cause the topic was her.

you see, yubin was quite an interesting person and she was inspirational. a bit mysterious and it just fascinated nika. perfect inspiration for a song. cause it's normal to write songs about your insanely attractive bandmates, right?
