as I already told you through an announcement, I finally got an answer from a Wattpad support member. I will show you his answer here in the chapter and then explain what happens next. So please read the chapter to the end, it's very important! If you are not interested in his answer, you can also jump directly to the point "This means" ;-)

So here is his answer:

Hi there

Thank you for reaching out to us here at Wattpad Support, and for taking the time to give us feedback on how we can improve the Wattpad experience.

We really appreciate the detail and passion behind these feature requests. We have received requests about adding read counts to our filters and this is something our product team that works on search and the homepage has been investigating alongside other enhancements to content discovery. Thanks for sharing this and the random principle idea. We are committed to ensuring that readers are able to narrow down the content they want to see and add more filters to do this is definitely something we are tracking requests for. Optimizing the library in a similar way is also another opportunity to sort through your collection of stories.

We also understand one of the unique features of Wattpad is connection to the community at large. While I can't say that group chat specifically will be something released in the near future we are also aware and tracking this request.

Wattpad is committed to ensuring that our community's experience is safe and controlled. Mute is available to control your interactions with other users, however we are working on refining this feature to a larger degree in the future. Stay tuned! On that note, while advanced statistics would be an excellent way for writers to interact with readers, there is a question of respecting the readers privacy.

Thanks for your thoughts on making our content guidelines more visible. While we do require writers to adjust their mature story settings and highlight our guidelines, I can see how having guidelines available in your library would be helpful.

Our Rankings algorithm is designed to factor in many different types of engagement to every story. It does not factor whether a story is Free or a Paid Story.

At times we will release features on different devices. This will be done for many different reasons some of which will be to see how our community responds and if we need to make changes.

I'm going to pass along your thoughts to our product teams if this becomes something that we might build-out in the future. Listening to the community is definitely helpful to us when making changes to Wattpad.

While I understand that you wanted to organize a petition, the best way for us to track these types of requests is through ticket submissions. Please encourage the other readers and writers who also share your feedback to submit a ticket to Support.

Thanks again for taking the time to write in and I'm sorry that I didn't have better immediate news for you.

So that's his answer. I think it sounds like he really likes at least some of our suggestions! And in order for them to actually be implemented, you now have to take action one last time:

As the staff member mentioned in his message, he wants me to encourage you to submit a ticket to Wattpad Support yourself. I asked again if we should really do that or if they will be annoyed by all the messages, but he said that this is the best way to really draw attention to our wishes.

This means:

Let us all send a ticket to the support!!! You can copy the petition text from the online petition and paste it into your message to the support if you like. Feel free to add some introductory sentence of your own to explain what you want to achieve with your message. Let's flood the support with our messages so that Wattpad has no choice but to implement some of our wishes :-)

How to submit a ticket?

I will post a link on our message board that will take you to support. Follow this link and then select the "Feature Feedback" button. You can then compose your message there. You will also need to select which part of Wattpad you are providing feedback on. Just choose the one that is most important to you, because our petition is about all parts of Wattpad.

Alternatively you can send several tickets about the different parts of Wattpad. So one ticket for each topic of our petition. This way the Wattpad support might have more overview about our wishes ;-)
