Peter felt like he was walking on thin ice. Something was wrong--aside from all that had happened in the past few days--he could feel it. Peter was admittedly, afraid. Greydon was unusually quiet. In fact, hardly anyone said a word to one another as they ventured out into the maze of halls.

"Where are we going." Iisan interrupted the silence. "This isn't the usual path."

"Just a precaution." Was all Greydon said, leading them down the cage of halls that were certainly confusing to navigate. Greydon had some special talent for memorizing location and directions. He knew exactly where to go, which is why he took the front. But why was he taking them off course?

"For what?" Peter asked.

"By now, they've probably got guards stationed in the halls we usually took to keep us away. We need to go the long way." Greydon replied grumpily. Peter could hear the pain in his voice. He was still fighting, but he sounded significantly weaker. After Cleo's death, something in him shattered. He was broken, and Peter had no idea how the boy pushed on.

Peter noticed Iisan tap Terrance, and whisper something into his ear. Iisan must have noticed something Peter didn't. the question was, what was it? Terrance didn't bring his guide dog with him again, probably for the same reasons he hadn't in the past. It was dangerous to bring a dog. A dog would put them all in danger.

"I think I figured out what's going on here." Greydon said after a few minutes had gone by. "Why Dr. Braunt is doing this, that is."

"You have?" Corvan asked suspiciously.

"Well, I had a hunch. But last night confirmed everything for me." Greydon had his head hung low, and his walking pace had significantly slowed. Peter feared what he would say next. "There's mutants here."

"W-well-" Corvan stuttered.

"Why? Just because Iisan's a mutant, doesn't mean the rest of us are." Peter stated and Iisan shot a glare at him.

"No. It's not just Iisan." Greydon said darkly. "I know it's not just him. There's several mutants here. This place is simply a place of execution."

"What are you saying?" Corvan asked with worry.

"I'm saying that Dr. Braunt rounded up a bunch of kids he thought- or KNEW to be mutants, to kill them. And that would be fine..." Greydon balled his fists. "If he didn't drag normal people into it. My sister was no mutant. He fucking killed her anyways. You mutants disgust me." He stopped walking, and glared straight at Iisan. "You're the reason they all died. This is your fault."

"Drop the gun." Iisan said with a warning tone. Peter finally noticed Greydon had his gun in his hands now, though it wasn't pointed at anyone. Even still, his finger rested on the trigger.

"Why should I?" Greydon growled. "You scared I'll shoot you?"

"I know you'll try."

"I'm just curious to see how many times you can catch a bullet, or does it only work when it's you or your friends in danger?" Greydon raised, the gun, pointing it at Iisan. "Was Cleo not important enough, Ethan?"

"Say my name correctly."

"Or else what?" Greydon sneered. "I can't believe Cleo was telling me you were a good person. I guess she was delusional at times."

"Greydon-" Jason seethed. "What the hell are you doing?!"

"And you're just as crazy, Jason." Greydon said, still glaring at Iisan with the gun pointed at him. "Did you know? Did you know your friend was a freak?! A mutant?! People like him are the reason we're all going to die! How many people have died because of you, Iisan?! Cause I'd say, at least seven! And that's just the innocent lives who were slaughtered in this hell hole!"

Greydon pulled the trigger just as Peter lunged forward to disarm him. The bullet barely missed Iisan as Peter tackled Greydon to the ground. He pinned the hand which held the gun the ground, squeezing his wrist to force him to let go of the weapon. Greydon had a look of pitiful hatred across his face, or rather, he looked like he's gone insane.

"Peter, what are you-" Jason began to say.

"RUN! RUN ALREADY! GET OUT OF HER! GO!" Peter shouted, holding Greydon down with his strength. Greydon spat on Peter's face.

"Get the fuck off me, freak!" The gun fell from his hands as the others ran away as fast as they could. Peter could feel his heart racing. Greydon raised a fist and struck Peter in the temple to get him off. He shoved Peter's body away, and grabbed his gun once more, now aiming it at Peter who was still on the ground. "I didn't think about it till now, but you're one of them too, aren't you, Peter?"

"What do you think you're doing?!" Peter growled. "We're all trying to get out of here alive! You'll get all of us killed!"

"Does it look like I really give a damn?! As far as I'm concerned, I'm the only normal human left! Maybe Jason is too, but how much can I really trust him on that?!"

"He's your best friend!" Peter shouted. "That's why you should trust him!"

"I thought I knew him." Greydon said, pointed the end of the gun at Peter who'd now managed to get to his feet.

"And you do!" Peter put his hands out defensively. "Iisan told me the names of everyone here who he knew to be a mutant, and Jason wasn't on that list. Alright? He's normal!"

"And are you normal? Parker?" Greydon said, pulling the trigger once again. Peter barely moved his head to the side, just in time to evade the bullet. "Guess not."

He shot again, but this time, Peter jumped to the wall. It was no use keeping his powers a secret at this point. He crouched to the wall, his eyes never leaving Greydon's. Greydon shot a few more time, and each time, Peter was able to just barely dodge the bullet. But he knew he couldn't keep that stunt up for long.

Luckily, Greydon was out of ammo.

Greydon had a crazed look on his face, both boys frozen and staring back at one another. Peter knew exactly what was going through Greydon's head. The boy ran, he ran in the direction he knew the closet that bore a station of weapons to be. He was bent on killing Peter Parker, Peter just had to get to the closet before Greydon did.

Peter jumped back to the floor and chased after him. Peter was fast, but so was Greydon. No wonder Greydon was a soccer player, he was likely a striker with the insane speed he could carry himself with. Did I just forget how to spell carry? Yes. Yes I did.

"Greydon!" Peter bellowed. "Think about what you're doing!"

"No need to, Parker!" Greydon said, swiftly turning a corner with Peter at his tail. "I know exactly what needs to happen. This world is filthy with the infestation of mutants. They're like parasites. I'm simply helping to clean up that mess."

"Greydon- you don't-"

Greydon rounded another corner, and Peter finally recognized where they were. That's where the closet was, and standing between Greydon and the weapons was Iisan. Greydon began cackling with insanity, and Peter knew he really had lost his mind. Cleo's death did more than just shatter his strength, it made him snap. Greydon was not the same Greydon Peter had been working along side these past few days. Greydon was a monster. He was insane.

"Back off, Greydon." Iisan growled. Greydon continued to laugh hysterically, charging straight for Iisan with no ammo in his gun.

"Greydon!" Jason bellowed as Greydon shoved Iisan aside. Iisan raised his hand, as if to stop Greydon, but nothing happened. Iisan cursed to himself.

"There's too much damn light out here!" Iisan said angrily, chasing after Greydon now. Greydon was already at the closet, where Jason tried fending him off. Greydon grabbed Jason by the throat and shoved him into a wall.

"You lied to me." Greydon snarled at Jason.

"Let me go!" Jason choked out. Terrance came and struck Greydon up the side of his head. Greydon loosened his grip on Jason, retaliating the blow back to Terrance. But this time, he had a new gun in his hand. He'd stolen it from Jason, who'd grabbed one to defend himself and the others with. Terrance staggered backwards from the hit, rubbing the spot that Greydon had struck him.

"Pest." Greydon said, firing the gun at Terrance. He miraculously missed, but it had everyone pretty shaken. He adjusted his aim to fire again.

"Don't you dare!" Iisan said, shoving Greydon into a wall.

"Protecting your boyfriend, hm?" Greydon cackled. He pressed the tip of his gun to Iisan's gut and pulled the trigger before any of them had time to react.

Oops my hand slipped.

"IISAN NO!" Corvan shrieked, now joining into the fight. Iisan crumpled to the ground as Greydon spun around and fired the gun at Corvan. He just barely missed the boy. Greydon was too hysterical to aim properly, and began shooting in all directions. Peter ended up getting hit in the shoulder, which set him back. The scene before him was truly terrifying.

This place was full of monsters, and Greydon was now one of them.

I am writing this at the same time I'm taking a math SAT prep course and it's quite the mix. The pythagorean theorem is being explained in the worst way possible, at the same time children are dying over here.

"Iisan!" Terrance knelt down to where the boy had fallen. "Iisan?!"

"Terr," Iisan smiled.

"Where's the wound?!" Terrance asked, offering Iisan his hand. Iisan moved his hand to where the blood now blossomed in his shirt so that Terrance could see it without eyes. Terrance shuddered. "How bad is it?"

"I don't know." Iisan glared over to Greydon who was now fighting with Corvan. Corvan was enraged, and not thinking straight, as he fought hand to hand against a man with a gun. "Corvan! Get away from him!"

"Corvan?!" Terrance flinched. "Corvan!"

"He's alright Terr!" Iisan assured.

"For now at least." Peter murmured clutching his arm where blood now pooled out of an open wound.

"Greydon stop!" Jason exclaimed, stepping in between Greydon and Corvan.

"Move!" Greydon said, striking Jason across the jaw with his fist. Jason staggered to the side, rubbing his jaw sorely as Greydon continued to attack Corvan.

"Stop it!" Peter exclaimed, now also stepping between Corvan and Greydon. He felt heat radiating on his back, as if the sun itself were burning into him.

"Don't you feel it, Parker." Greydon laughed. "Corvan's a mutant too. The whole lot of you are! Should I even be surprised at this point?!"

Peter looked over his shoulder at Corvan who was now sweating profusely. The intense heat Peter was feeling was coming from Corvan's body somehow. It was as if Corvan were a radiator cranked all the way up.

"It's horrifying, really." Greydon said, trying to hit Peter with the side of the gun. Peter caught his wrist. "You're all demons. Not even human. How, how can you be so ok with yourselves?! If I were like any of you, I'D KILL MYSELF!" Greydon shoved Peter aside, gripping onto the collar of his shirt with one had, and with the other, he had his gun pressed to Corvan's forehead. "I wouldn't look if I were you, Peter."

"That's enough Greydon! I TOLD YOU TO STOP!" Jason bellowed, lunging for Greydon. He carried a shovel in his hands over his head, which he swung and struck Greydon in the back of his head.

Peter heard a loud thunking sound, and suddenly, Greydon let go of both Peter and the gun. He bore a stunned look on his face, before he collapsed over on top of Peter, unconscious. Peter quickly shoved him off, barely able to make sense of what happened.

Greydon's eyes were open, but blank. His smile was gone, and blood was staining the back of his shirt, for his head was split open. He was breathing, but barely. In fact, his body was shaking on the ground as blood seeped into the tile floor beneath him. He held his mouth open, gasping for air but nothing came. His eyes just stared off into nowhere, unfocused and dazed. And finally, he stopped moving, no longer breathing.

He was dead.

Peter's leg makes me hate that drawing so much lmao. I forgot to shade Jason's pants >:0

"Is he..." Corvan hesitantly crouched down next to the bloody mess. He put his fingers on Greydons neck trying to find a pulse.

"He's dead, Corvan." Iisan said, now sitting up against a wall with Terrance fussing over him.

"...What... What did I just do..." Jason said with a look of horror on his face. He dropped the shovel, and his hands were now shaking. "Greydon?!" He quickly knelt over Greydon's body. "Greydon! Greydon please answer me!" He said, shaking his shoulders. "Please!" Tears welled up in Jason's eyes, threatening to fall.

"Jason-" Corvan began to say.

"Greydon!" Jason began to sob. "NO! NO NO NO! FUCK!" Jason began to shake, letting go of Greydon's shoulders and placing his head on the boy's back. He continued to sob, choking on his own tears. "I'm so sorry... I'm sorry Greydon... I'm-"

The place a was a mess, and Peter felt pitiful. Iisan was struggling in the corner. Terrance had taken off his own shirt and wrapped it around Iisan's abdomen which was now drenched in blood. Terrance clutched onto Iisan, afraid he would leave him alone in this world. Corvan, just like Peter, was in quite some shock. The both of them were unsure of what to do at that moment. And Jason...

Jason had just killed his best friend.
