Week three
Day 15:Nose bleeds
Peter woke up exhausted yet again, but he hated himself when he didn't do anything. So he physically dragged himself out of bed, not noticing the red substance on his skin. He only noticed it when he saw it, his nose was bleeding and rather profusely. He grabbed a tissue and held it to his nose, remembering not to tilt his head back, he didn't feel like choking on blood today.
In about ten minutes the bleeding subsided and he was left with a reddish stain under his nose. He took a clean tissue and ran it under the cold water. He gently cleaned around his nose hoping it didn't happen again.
Once he was finished with his nose he walked back into his room and pulled out a pair of black sweat pants and a baggy AC/DC t-shirt from his dresser. He changed and needed to sit down, cool air brushed past his lips with every slow breath. When he gathered just enough energy to stand up he did, and as soon as he took a step the pounding in his head reappeared. He didn't feel like he could go down but he would, he still could it just took more out of him now than it used to.
He leaned against the hallway about ten feet away from his door and closed his eyes. The exhaustion coupled with the headache and growing nausea made him consider going back to bed. However he decided not to, he pushed himself almost to his breaking point and managed to collapse on the barstool once again.
"God peter you don't look good"
"Thanks mocking jay" he bit back, trying to ignore the fact his body was freezing but his head knew it was burning up.
"Hey, Jarvis can you take Peter's temperature from up there?" Clint asked the ceiling.
"Clinton I am not just up here I am everywhere. To answer your question yes, I can take Mr. Parker's temperature from 'up here'. He currently has a core temperature of 103.8°F or 39.889°C"
"Shit that's high, ok thanks, Jarvis. How did I get stuck in this position I mean I can take care of kids with fevers but a spider kid with a fever caused by alien poison is a little much"
"Clint you're rambling" Peter grunted out.
"Right sorry, let's get you to the couch. Oh my gods"
"What?" Then he felt the warm substance on his lip. Great another nose bleed.
"Here," Clint said handing him a tissue. "And don't tilt your head back or-"
"I'll choke on my own blood. This happened before too I think it's the next symptom"
"Ok should I get Bruce?" Clint asked unsure of what to do.
"No I'll go down," he started to get off the stool and the world spun, "or not" he fell against the kitchen island and slid down it until he was on the floor.
"Clint Barton, What have you done to my son," Tony asked storming in, he walked straight over to Peter and sat down in front of him, "hey kiddo can I take you to the couch it's probably more comfortable?"
"Yeah" Peter nodded, he allowed Mr. Stark to pull him up and leaned against his side.
"I didn't, I'm sorry I don't know what to do" Clint answered, his voice was shaking.
"Hey, Clint it's fine it wasn't you. He got hit it's the aliens' fault never yours" Tony responded gently pushing Peter against the back of the couch so he could lay down.
"Thanks, I guess I'm sorry Tony, umm nose bleeds are the new symptom by the way. Also, I don't think he should be alone anymore. We've been giving him room for too long he's suffering by himself."
"You're very right," Tony said, "ok I'm going to arrange something, so we have no choice but to be together"
"Ok sound good, need me to watch him? I think I can do it now"
"Yeah, thanks Barton" Tony left the room with the phone to his ear.
"So, did the nose bleed stop?"
"Yeah, I think so" Peter sighed.
"Good" Clint responded and sat in silence until Tony came back in followed by Cap, Natasha, Bucky, and Bruce.
"Ok so here's the plan, we are going to my home in Miami, the flight path we take will last at least 5 hours so get packing we leave tonight" he explained clapping his hands together and walking over to help peter into the whee chair Bruce had bought with him.
"So this is like a last vacation right?" Peter asked, the reality of what's about to happen only just hitting him. "Oh, I'm going to die, I'm gonna- oh god I'm going to die" he rambled shaking, tears were pouring down his cheeks.
Tony looked to Bruce who was walking next to them, "it's the occasional delirium that we discovered on the first day I'm surprised he hasn't had more episodes"
"Peter it's going to be alright ok, look at me," Tony said, they had gotten to Peters' room halfway through Bruce's mini-speech. Tony crouched down in front of peter and said, "this is not the end you hear me? I'm never going to let you die ok"
"O-k" he nodded, Tony grabbed Peter's things and piled them into a blue and red suitcase, grabbing what peter told him to.

Day 16:
They piled onto the quinjet and buckled up for take-off. Bucky and Steve were sitting next to each other, Clint and Natasha were sitting next to each other in seats that faced Bucky and Steve. Tony, Bruce, and Peter were sitting on seats on the other side, Tony next to Bruce and peter facing them, he was curled up on the two seats.
"Alright everybody, time for takeoff" Jarvis called out.
They began to take off just as the clock hit 12, as if on cue the alien technology inside Peter's bloodstreams launched its next attack on its host. All of a sudden Peter could barely breathe, he thought at first it was a panic attack but he knew what those felt like and this wasn't it. He physically could not breathe, the minimal amount of air was entering his lungs. He felt like a fish on dry land, trying to breathe air it can't.
"Kiddo, breathe ok it's just another panic attack. Remember when I calmed you down with the breathing techniques?"
"Peter do you need a hug?" Bruce asked reaching a handout.
"No" Peter gasped out when his lungs allowed a little bit of air, "not" he gasped again "panic" one more word, "attack" he cried out.
"Oh ok he actually can't breathe this isn't a panic attack this is a symptom" Bruce yelled, jumping up and running to the back of the jet where the medical supplies were, "damn it where is it" he yelled looking through drawer after drawer.
"Bruce What do you need?" Steve asked walking in.
"The oxygen tank and gas mask, it's not here" Bruce's neck started to turn green and he yelled, "not now!"
"Ok breathe Bruce it's right here" Steve said pulling what he was looking for out of the cabinet.
"I'll breathe when he does" he grabbed the tank and rand back to Peter, he pushed the mask down over his mouth and nose and turned up the O2.
Immediately Peter felt relief, it felt like he hadn't breathed in forever. Kind of like when you breathe fresh air after you've been inside for a while. He gulped The air down like a runner drinking water after a marathon.
"That's it, Petey, breathe. We need to keep this on him" Bruce sighed, he stood up to grab a blanket and pillow, he placed the pillow under Peter's head and helped him lay down. Making sure the mask was still on, he placed the blanket over him and watched his eyelids flutter shut.
"Thank you, Bruce," Tony said, hugging him as soon as he turned around.
"Of course, someone needs to stay awake to watch him, make sure his chest keeps rising"
"I will," Natasha said, she stood up and switched seats with Bruce. The lights were dimmed to a manageable level but bright enough for Natasha to see Peter's chest rising and falling in a steady rhythm. She felt Tony move next to her and looked over, his eyes were wide open and he was staring at peter, the dark circles under his eyes were very prominent. She had noticed this since even before peter was poisoned, but never this bad. "You need to sleep Tony, you can't help him when you can't help yourself"
"But I just can't bear the thought of waking up and him being gone so I figure that if I stay awake then he won't get the opportunity to leave"
"I understand that but Tony if you don't sleep you're going to be the one to leave while he's asleep"
"You're right," he said as he adjusted his body so he could sleep.
"I always am" she smiled and watched as Tony closed his eyes, chest rising and falling just like Peters. She hadn't known the kid for long, after the accords deal she was put on a very long mission. She wasn't able to contact anyone outside of the case. Yet somehow she felt overly protective of this kid, she watched him fight, he was good. Quick reflexes and he hit hard, but she also watched him get sicker. She hated that this was happening to him, but she couldn't do anything except make sure everyone else is ok.

Day 17:
Peter only woke up when the plane touched down, the oxygen mask was still over his mouth and nose. He sighed and relaxed at the fact he could breathe.
"Hey good morning kid, let's get you off this plane" Tony whispered, which Peter was glad for as the noises of the plane were awfully loud and starting to hurt his ears, a loud voice would give him a very bad headache.
He was lifted up and placed in a wheelchair, a blanket was wrapped around him and the oxygen tank was secured to the back. He was wheeled forwards and out the jet, they slowly made it down the ramp and onto the ground. The house was massive and peter actually gasped. Surprisingly Tony Heard the gasp even with peter wearing a mask.
"Pretty nice right? I designed it myself" he said, always bragging but this wasn't his 'I'm better than you' brag, this was an 'I'm actually very proud of myself for this, please enjoy it'.
"Yeah it's incredible"
"You haven't seen inside yet" tony wheeled peter forwards, knowing the others would grab their stuff. The living room was just as spectacular as the outside, if not more.
The tour continued for about two and a half hours, it was a big house. And when they were done they decided to go get food as neither of them had eaten breakfast. They met the tigers in the kitchen and Tony waited as Bucky pulled a chair away to make space for the wheelchair. When the gap was ready Tony pushed peter near the table and sat down next to him. Steve asked over carrying plates stacked with pancakes, bacon, and eggs. A bowl of fruit and a bottle of syrup was brought out by Clint who sat down on the opposite side of the table as peter.
"I didn't even know we had food here," Tony said as he took a bite of bacon.
"Pepper said that she had someone stock the kitchen when she found out we were coming here" Steve explained.
"Ah, Jarvis can you tell Pepper I said thank you for the food"
"Yes sir"
"Jarvis is here too?" Bucky asked.
"Jarvis is everywhere" Clint explained.
"He gets it" Jarvis's voice rang out.
Peter was listening to the conversation but not listening, the colors had started to blend together and the room had started to spin, gradually growing darker until it was all black.
Clint saw Peter's head drop first, "peter?" He asked drawing everyone's attention.
"Oh my gosh, peter?" Tony said worry lacing his voice.
"I think this is a symptom, I've done research on this a few nights when I was bored, it's called a syncopal episode, or temporary loss of consciousness"
"So he's going to wake up"

Day 18:
Peter did, in fact, wake up, and it was only a few moments later. However, when he woke up he heard a familiar voice, one he shouldn't be hearing, a voice which made his skin crawl and his hands form into fists, the voice of the man who was forgotten.
"Hey Einstein, wanna have some fun?"
"Peter?" Tony asked.
"I can hear him"
"Hear who?" Asked Natasha.
"Skip" he muttered almost afraid to say his name.
"No nope, peter shut him out. He's never coming back ok this is some kind of auditory hallucination ok. Block him out listen to my voice and only my voice"
"I- he's gone" peter cried in relief.
"Oh thank god"
"Whose skip?"
"I'll explain later"
"Wait how long was I out for before?"
"You mean when you passed out yesterday?"
"Yesterday!"
"Yeah peter you were out for 25 hours"

Day 19:
Another day had begun and peter was tired of the same routine. Actually began to think he was going insane at the repetitive pattern. Wake up, new symptom, deal with it, fall asleep with the help of either exhaustion or melatonin, and repeat.
Today the team had decided to let him sit in the pool, they were going to monitor his temperature and the temperature of the water to make sure neither got too hot.
He changed and sat back down in the whee chair, was wheeled outback, and helped into the pool. And the image in front of him froze.
"Peter?" Tony tried again, he had been trying to get Peter's attention for a while now but the kid was just staring straight ahead.
"Got it" Bruce came back with a pupillary response light, he shined it in Peter's eyes to look for activity and jumped gene peter jumped back.
"What?"
"What did you see peter?"
"It was like the world froze like someone hit pause."
"Ah, I've read about these. Absence seizures are what they're called..."

Day 20:
Peter woke up with one thought on his mind, another day another symptom. He tried to get out of bed but found himself stuck. He allowed for his eyes to adjust and looked around, he was back under the building.
No no no no no no no no no absolutely not this is over it already happened what is this. He screamed out.
"Tony and Bruce were working in the lab down the hall from Peter's room when they heard a gut-wrenching scream. They both looked at each other and raced down the hallway, Tony threw Peters door open and looked at the kid.
His hair was plastered to his forehead and he was shaking but other than that he was completely still. As if he was fighting against something only he could see. His eyes were, strangely, open.
"These are the visuals from the hallucinations he won't be able to see or hear either of us"
Tony completely ignored Bruce, his ears were filled with Peter's cries and whimpers. He walked over and pulled the kid into his arms.
But he kept crying out.
"Mr. Stark! Please help I don't want to be down here please somebody help me"
"I'm here peter, right here"
"MR. STARK" he screamed.
"I'm here peter, I'm right here" tony cried cradling peter against his body.
"Tony"
"I know, just I can't do nothing I have to at least be here for when he resurfaces"
"Ok I'll leave you" Bruce left the room waiting until the door was closed to let the worry cover his face. This kid was not doing ok, Loki said the cure would take four weeks but he didn't promise peter would make it four weeks. Bruce just prayed that he did, he couldn't imagine life with a kid in the tower then he met peter and now he can't imagine life without him in the tower.

Day 21:
Peter calmed down enough to sleep, his hallucination took the better half of the day, the other half he spent sleeping.
When he did wake up it was the next morning and he had forgotten about the event.
"Hey, kiddo are you ok?" Tony asked from a seat next to his bed.
"Yeah, What happened?"
"You Don't Remember? we'll you had a hallucination and fell asleep"
"What was it of? Did I tell you"
"I'm not going to tell you in case it causes another"
"Ok-"Peter's voice cut out and his eyes rolled back in his head.
"Peter?" Tony asked jumping up. To his horror, Peter's body started to violently convulse. ": shit time this Jar!"
He climbed onto the bed and held Peters head steady so he didn't break his neck, he also rolled him on his side so he didn't choke on his tongue.
"Jarvis said Peter was seizing," Bruce asked walking in, nodding his head when he saw peter. "How long has it been?"
"Three minutes and fourth eight seconds" Jarvis called out.
"Please stop soon peter, I don't know if the antidote cures brain damage and you are one of the smartest people I know you need your brain come on stop seizing" Bruce Willis peter into stilling and within a minute he did. Bruce sighed, and so did Tony.
"I'm scared Bruce, there's still another week left"
"I know, I am too but we have to believe he'll make it or he won't"
"I know that" Tony said, looking down at his kid who was still passed out, god he wanted him to be ok, needed him to be.
