BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
Peter groaned as he smacked the snooze button on his alarm clock. He rolled off his bed, landing face first on the floor.
He did not want to get up today.
Its not that he didn't want to go to school today or anything, he was just really tired from a robbery last night. It was a group of guys, and though usually it wouldn't be that bad, one of the three (being a complete dumb ass if you ask Peter,) decided to throw a gun at his leg. It hurt like hell. Of course, it didn't hurt as much anymore, but still.
Peter half contemplated if he should just skip today, its not like anything important was happening . No big test or field trip or anything like that.
He quickly shook those ideas out of his head. May would worry if he just didn't want to go today for no reason, and that woman already has enough on her plate. She had just gotten a raise, which is good. Great, actually. But if she wanted to keep getting that money, she had to work harder than ever. And they really needed this money.
Yes, they were close to the Tony Stark. A billionaire. But if he knew that they were in financial trouble, he'd want to help. And frankly, they didn't want to bother him with what they thought wasn't that important. It's not that bad if they were suddenly homeless.
Peter was pulled out of his thoughts when May shouted for him to come on.
"Coming!"
Peter jumped off the floor and slipped on his clothes quickly, grabbing his bag as he walked out the door. May already put out under cooked eggs and burnt toast for him. He sat down and happily ate his breakfast, despite the weird taste from the eggs. He was grateful that May cooked for him at all, who was he to tell her that her cooking wasn't up to Gordon Ramsey's standards?
"Peter, hurry up! You're gonna be late!" May tied up her hair with a piece of toast hanging from her mouth. Peter chuckled as he put up his plate and ran to kiss May on the cheek before heading off to school.
...
"Hey man, excited for today?" Ned ran up to Peter, slightly nudging him. Peter cocked a questioning eyebrow. Why would he be excited for another boring day of school? He pulled out his chemistry book from his locker, but where the flip is that one algebra book—
"Dude! You don't forget, did you?" Peter closed his locker, finding his algebra book.
"Ned, what are you on about?"
"THE FIELD TRIP TO THE AVENGERS TOWER IS TODAY, PETER!" Ned whispered yelled. Peter stopped walking.
Oh shiz. (Gotta keep it Steve friendly)
...
Peter groaned as he walked into class, seeing everyone buzz with excitement. He mentally sighed.
'How could I have forgotten? I'm so stupid! Dang it, how am I supposed to-'
"Yo loser, you okay?" Michelle roughly tapped him on his shoulder as he sat down beside his two friends.
"Uh-h yeah, I'm fine." Peter knew that Michelle could see through his lie, but she didn't push him. And boy, was he glad. He hadn't even been at school fifteen minutes and he already wanted to sleep for eternity.
The chatter in the classroom stopped as the teacher cleared his throat.
"Alright!" Mr. Brock clapped his hands together.
"As you may know, today is the day we FINALLY get to visit the Avengers' Tower!" Kids started whooping and talking excitingly before Mr. Brock quieted them again.
"Now, I have everyone's permission slips from last month all signed, so don't worry if you think you forgot about it." Peter mentally sighed. Of course May had signed it. 'Damnit! Oh- whoops I meant dang it, sorry Cap.'
"Hey Penis! Guess we'll find out that you really don't know Tony Stark!"
"Shut up, Flash." Peter muttered.
"Okay! Everyone, line up to get on the bus!"
...
"Guys, if I die today make sure May feels bad about signing the slip. But not too bad. Also help her because I don't want her to go into a super-depressed state. Also, make sure-"
"Peter, if you don't shut up I'm going to smack you with my book." Michelle didn't look up for her book. Ned put a reassuring hand on his back as they sat in the bus.
"Dude, it'll be okay! It can't be that bad, right?" Ned said, hoping to reassure him. Peter sighed as thought about how screwed he was. Hopefully the team hadn't gotten wind of his trip.
He looked out the window, seriously considering jumping out of it. It's not like it would hurt that bad.
Peter turned as a crumpled up piece of paper hit the back of his head, bouncing off and landing in Michelle's book she was currently stuffing her nose with behind him.
"Hey Penis, ready to see your old pal Tony Stark?" Flash laughed with his buddies as Peter rolled his eyes.
"Shut up, Flash." Michelle continued to read her book. Flash scoffed as he ignored her.
"So, do you know the Avengers, too? Or is that another one of your fantasies? No wonder your parents left you!" Peter sighed as Ned silently scolded Flash in his head. Michelle closed her book, loudly.
"Eugene, bark out an insult like that again and I'll make sure to personally drag you down to Hell, right next to your I.Q because Lord knows that thing won't get any higher anytime soon." Michelle yelled. The bus went silent.
"You're gonna need to put ice on that burn!" Abraham yell out, causing the students to uproar in laughter. Flash's face became beet red, muttering how he was a victim to his friends. Michelle put up her book and pulled out her sketch book.
"What're you doing?" Ned asked.
"Did you see Flash's face just then? It'd be a perfect practice for my facial expression crisis sketchbook." Michelle started to sketch an outline as Ned hummed and turned his head back forward. Peter looked out the window for the rest of the drive.
As the bus pulled up to the tower, Peter whispered to himself;
"Please let this be a normal field trip." Ned looked at him, ready to sing before Peter gave him a death glare. Ned frowned as he huffed and crossed his arms before they both went into a fit of quiet giggles.
"Okay everyone, off the bus!" Everyone filed off the bus. An intern stood before them, hands behind his back and ready to talk.
"Alrighty, Welcome Mid Tech High! My name is Mr. Maguire, and I will be your tour guide for this trip! Everyone excited?" The highschoolers cheered and nodded their heads. Mr. Maguire laughed as he quieted them down.
(ItsJustKai: I see what they did there ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°))
"Okay, So first I have to give you your guest badges. Stark Industry's doesn't reprint badges unless the badge is severely damaged, so please don't lose you badges." The intern began handing out badges until he stopped at Peter.
"Hey Peter!" He said as he ruffled Peter's hair. Peter laughed as he pushed his hands away, playfully. His class and his teacher looked at them like they were crazy.
"Still got your badge, right?" Peter could hear Flash's jaw drop.
"Yeah." The man smiled and hummed as he finished passing out badges. Peter turned a dark shade of red as people stared at him.
The intern lead them inside and stopped in front of what looked like a metal detector with a scanner.
"This is a weapon detector, with a scanner. You scan your card and go through the door for a brief scan. No, it will not go off for jewelry or anything like that, so don't worry. So, whose first?" The Intern smiled as Flash walked up like he owned the place. He put his card to the scanner and walked through.
"Eugene Thomson: Level Card 0, Expires in 9 hours. Clear." Flash smiled cockily. Peter groaned. He forgot about FRIDAY. A girl raised her hand suddenly and asked a question.
"What is the highest I.D. Level?"
"Well, Miss..?"
"Cindy."
"Well Miss Cindy, the highest access level is Level Card 10. Only the Avengers and a select few have those. Government Officials and higher up interns have levels 7-9 depending on who they are. Engineers have level 5-6, and lower interns like me have levels 3-4. Janitors and reception have 1-2, while visitors have level zero."
"Andrew Garfield: Level Card 0, expires in 9 hours. Clear." Peter groaned.
(ItsJustKai: *le gasp* They did it again!)
"Dude, psst!" Ned whispered very quietly. Peter looked at him.
"What?"
"What level card do you have?" Peter leaned in.
"Level 10." Ned gasped, but Peter quickly shushed him.
"Michelle Jones: Level Card 0, expires in 9 hours. Clear." Ned jumped excitedly as it was his turn.
"Edward Leeds: Level Card 0, expires in 9 hours. Clear." Peter groaned. He slowly walked up to the scanner and scanned his card, silently wishing for death as he walked through the detector.
"Peter Parker: Level Card 10, expires never. Clear." Peter winced at the gasping that came from his class.
"WHAT THE SHIT!? PARKER HAS ALL ACCESS?! Why?! H-he's just a lying dumbass!" Mr. Maguire's eyes turned dark before looking at Peter, who shook his head with pleading eyes. He sighed and looked back at the unruly student, and glared.
"Be careful with what you say, Eugene. You clearly don't understand how precious Peter is to all of us." He turned to the rest of the group.
"Alright! So, first things first.." Peter tuned out the rest of the interns tour. Its not like he hadn't heard it before.
...
It had been around two hours of him not listening until-
"Alright, so I just received a message that the Avengers are waiting for a meet and greet in training room 4!" Peters eyes almost burst out of his head.
No no no this isn't going to happen this is a prank or something-
"Hey Parker, guess we'll finally find out that you're not buddies with the Avengers after all." Flash said in a 'menacing' voice. Peter ignored him and went back over to Ned.
"Dude! This is SO cool! I mean, I know you see hem practically every day and all but still! Do you think I'll see Black Widow? Hawkeye? Or-"
"Ned, stop being a fanboy. I'm literally about to die of embarrassment right now!" Ned gave Peter an apologetic smile.
"Oh, right. Sorry man. Maybe you could sneak out or something...?" He asked. Peter sighed as he put his head down. As they walked closer to training room 4's door, Peter felt more and more sick. Ned tried to comfort him but he was too excited to meet the Avengers, and Michelle told him he was "overreacting." Peter heard a few snickers of the students around him, most likely seeing him in distress.
Suddenly, the door opened and Earth's Mightiest Heros stood before them, in all of their horrifying glory. Black Widow stood there, sharpening her nails with a knife. Scarlett Witch was standing by Vision, who seemed enamored in the conversation they were having. Bruce Banner, The Incredible Hulk, looked very uncomfortable while standing next to them and Iron Man, who was happily chatting with The Captain America and The Winter Soldier. Next to them was Hawkeye, who was playfully arguing with Quicksilver over something. The Falcon and The War Machine were currently having a staring contest beside the almighty Thor, who was checking his reflection in his hammer while his brother, Loki, looked to be shaming him while shaking his head.
Peter nearly had a heart attack at the sight of them.
Peter quickly hid behind Ned, who went in a semi-defensive stance, trying to hide his best friend. Michelle looked at the two and sighed, before clearing her throat, gaining the attention of the Avengers. She then nodded towards Ned and Peter, who mouthed at the words 'traitor' as he came out from behind Ned. Natasha smirked as she came up to him and ruffled his hair, much to the shock of his class.
"Hey Маленький паук." She smiled, which scared Peter. She only did that if she was murdering someone or about to.
"Hi, Ms. Romanoff." He then suddenly felt a strong hand on his shoulder. He turned around to see Bucky. Peter groaned, because Bucky was really bad at accidentally embarrassing him. Bucky, sadly, heard this groan and a hurt expression soon became visible on his face.
"Mission target unhappy? Did I do something wrong?" Winter took his hand away. Peter took note that he was talking to Winter, not Bucky. He meant to internally sigh, because Winter seemed to embarrass Peter more than Bucky, but apparently Winter heard it and became even more upset. Tony started to laugh as he watched the situation unfold. The others watched, mildly interest while the class of students and one adult were still there, completely shocked.
"Mission target is unhappy. Mission target doesn't trust me anymore? What did I do wrong?" Winter said, a small gloss over his eyes.
"N-no Mr. Winter! I didn't mean it like that! Oh god, I'm so sorry!" Peter hugged the assassin tightly.
"Do I still have mission target's trust?" Peter nodded frantically, and Winter smiled and grabbed Peter by the arm.
"New mission target: Bake cookies." He said, suddenly regaining his cold demeanor. "Wha- no Winter, I can't. I have to- Winter!" Peter was picked up into the air, and Winter was heading for the door before being blocked off by Steve and Natasha. Tony and the others were laughing their asses off (Except for Bruce, who took Peter back from being almost kidnapped by the man) while Steve tried to explain to him why he couldn't just steal Peter in the middle of the trip, much the the assassin's displeasure.
"No Winter, you can NOT take him right now." Steve looked at him, disappointed that his boyfriend tried to kidnap Peter for cookies. Winter huffed and grabbed Steve's hand, dragging them back to the group with a deadly pout on his face. Tony and Clint's faces were red from laughter while the others started shaking their heads. That is, until a certain idiot said something a bit too loudly to Peter.
"What the shit, Parker?! How do you know them? Who did you sleep with?!" Peter stuttered, flustered that he would be accused of such a thing.
"I havent- I-I wouldn't-"
"Excuse me?" Peter looked behind him to see a a very pissed off set of twins.
"What did you say to our brother?" Pietro spoke up while Wanda tried to calm herself down so she wouldn't cause another code W. By then, the rest of the Avengers had come over. Except Loki. He was no where to be seen.
"B-brother? Pe-parker cant be your brother! Hes just and idiodt with no family!" The Avengers erupted into shouts.
"LET ME AT THE LITTLE TWERP! HE NEEDS AN ARROW OR TWO!"
"REDWING, ATTACK!"
"Mission Target threat detected. permission to kill?"
"What did you say, son?"
"FRIDAY, send up Mark-XX."
"naTASHA A CODE GREEN'S ABOUT TO HAPPEN!" Natasha came over to Bruce, gently rubbing his back while giving Flash a death glare. By then, everyone in the room tried to step away from the angry family. Especislly Flash. Of course, that wouldnt happen.
Not on Loki's watch.
"Excuse me, young misgardian," Flash turned arounf to face Loki, the god of Mischief, in his terrifying johutun form. He placed his cold hand on Flash's shoulder. "I suggest that you go over to my nephew and apologize, or else," his gaze hardened," We might have a slight problem." Flash nodded and scurried over to Peter and apologized before running back oer to his buddies.
Tony walked over to the class." Alright, tours over, get out." He looked over to the teacher."Ill take Peter off of your hands." Before the man could protest, tony handed him a signed slip from may saying that Peter could stay. He took the slip and ushered the groupthe fuck out of there, leaving Peter with some very concered and angry avengers. Rhodey spoke up first.
"You didnt tell us you were getting bullied peter." He said, mostly concered. Peter sighed, intimidated by the stares of his family.
"I didnt think it was important..." Steve started looking at him with his disipointd agze, whiched made peter shrink. Tony sighed and patted peter on the back.
"Why dont we drop it and order soe pizza? We can pick it back up later." The others started to disagree until Natasha raised her hand to siclence them.
"I agree. we'll pick this up later. For now, lets have pizza." Peter smiled, but that soon vanished when Natahs finished talking.
"Pizza and a long talk."
