To catch an alpaca

"Okay, number's on the fridge and if you want you can order a pizza or something for dinner. Just try not to give Morgan sugar after nine because she gets a little crazy." Pepper said, grabbing her handbag from the counter. She leaned over and gave you a quick hug, her hair smelling like lavender.

"Got it." You said, helping her with her coat. Peter stood next to you, his arm sling around you lovingly as Pepper gave him the house keys. She ruffled his hair quickly, and then she was gone out the door to her conference.

"Y/N!! Peter!! Can we go play now?" Morgan asked, bounding into the room wearing her father's Iron Man mask. Peter laughed as she tugged on his shirt, wanting to be picked up.

"What are we playing? Princesses?" Peter asked, brushing the hair away from her face. Morgan made a face, and turned to look at you.

"No, that's boring! I wanna play pirates!" She cried, putting on an eyepatch. You burst out laughing as she crinkled her nose at Peter. Her little hands reached for his hair, pulling at it slightly. Peter pretended to be hurt, and Morgan wrapped her hands around his neck.

"See, now I look like Uncle Fury!" Morgan giggled, reaching out for you. You picked her up from Peter, and let her climb onto your back. She held onto your neck as you gave her a piggyback ride around the living room. Peter followed the two of you around, chuckling when Morgan stuck her tongue out at him.

"I'm starting to think she likes you more." Peter said, after you set her down on the ground and watched her toddle off to her room. You smiled at your boyfriend, shrugging as you took off your hoodie. Pepper liked keeping the house toasty, and you were burning up.

"Morgan definitely likes me more, but everyone knows that." You laughed, walking into the kitchen to look for food. Peter came up from behind and wrapped his arms around your waist, nuzzling into your neck. He loved the smell of your hair, it was like a drug. You'd caught him one too many times playing with it and once he stole one of your sweaters because it smelled like your hair.

"Whatcha doing, babe?" He whispered, making you smile at the nickname. Peter was so shy when you first started dating, not sure if he was allowed to hold your hand or call you "love". Now he kissed you anywhere and everywhere, and he always had to be touching you or he'd pout for hours. You opened the fridge and looked inside for something to make a salad with.

"I thought I'd make a salad, you know for Morgan? It might be good to have it with the pizza." You said, pulling out a bag of salad leaves. Peter held onto you as you walked over to the counter, taking out a bowl to put everything in. There was dressing and some croutons in a cabinet, which you poured into the bowl. After a couple minutes, Morgan ran in still wearing her eye patch.

"Peter! You're supposed to play pirates with me!" She cried, pulling him by his jeans. You laughed as Peter gave your forehead a kiss before running off with Morgan to her room. You took the time to dress the salad and let it sit while you ordered the pizza. Pepper, being the organized super mom she was, had left you a number for the pizza place down the road that Morgan loved. So once you ordered a big pizza, you decided to go check in on Peter and Morgan.

"What's going on here?" You laughed, seeing Peter wearing a princess dress and a plastic crown. Morgan was fully dressed as a pirate, skipping around the room and sprinkling glitter everywhere. Peter went red when you walked in, trying to cover his face. You immediately pulled out your phone and took a picture, giggling when Peter groaned.

"Noooo!! Delete that!!" He cried, trying to grab your phone from your hand. You dodged his reach and ran over to Morgan who held up her hand to stop him.

"You shall not pass!" Morgan yelled, Peter chuckling as she stepped in between you two. You high fived her as Peter took off the dress, pouting when you refused to delete the picture. Morgan giggled when you took a picture and sent both to Aunt May, much to Peter's horror.

"I'll never be able to live that down." Peter moaned, slumping on the floor. You rolled your eyes at his drama, kissing his cheek while Morgan started to put makeup on him. Her little hands shook putting on the lipstick, but she made you sit down to do it too.

"Ha, now you have to suffer along with me!" Peter said, watching as Morgan did your makeup flawlessly. He frowned when Morgan passed him a mirror, realizing his was smeared everywhere. "Hey, how come mine isn't as good as hers? She has less on too!"

"Because Y/N doesn't need makeup to look pretty, she already is. You needed a little though." Morgan said, handing you the mirror to look. You stifled a laugh as Peter scoffed, feigning hurt and tickling Morgan until she fell on the floor laughing. The doorbell rang and you got up to answer it.

"Y/N, don't leave me!" Morgan said through the laughter, Peter picking her up and spinning her around. You told her that you'd be back in a minute, you were just going to answer the door. Peter smiled at you adoringly and you walked over to the front door to see who it was. A young boy holding a pizza was standing outside, obviously a little nervous to be delivering to the Stark house.

"Thanks, here you go." You handed him the cash Pepper had left you and set it down on the kitchen counter. Peter walked in carrying Morgan and set her down on one of the bar stools. He started to take out the plates, but you stopped him when you tried the salad.

"It's missing something, what is it?" You asked, trying to taste what wasn't there. Peter took a bite and shrugged, giving a little to Morgan. Morgan immediately smiled, knowing what it needed.

"Goji berries! Mom grows them in the back, she puts them in everything!" She said, hopping off the stool and going to the back door. You looked at Peter, who sprinted after Morgan to make sure she didn't get hurt. You decided to lay out the silverware and serve things out while Peter and Morgan got goji berries.

You were so focused that you almost didn't feel the sudden cold on your arm.

"AHHH!!! OH MY GOD, WHO ARE YOU?" You screamed, jumping back with the salad spoon when you saw the furry animal next to you. It stared up at you with its big brown eyes, before running off into the house. For a moment, you just stood there shocked and hardly breathing. Maybe you were hallucinating, you thought, and you didn't just see a fuzzy alpaca in the kitchen.

But then Peter and Morgan burst through the door in a frenzy.

"Y/N! We can't find Gerald!" Peter spluttered, Morgan right on his tail. You wanted to ask who the heck that was, when your brain put the puzzle pieces together. Was Gerald the....?

"And he ate all the goji berries!" Morgan frowned, holding out a bag of maybe five berries. There was a crash from the living room and you all spun around, Peter picking up a spatula. You gave him an are you serious? look before grabbing a chair. Morgan stayed behind the two of you.

"Okay, if Gerald is an alpaca then I happen to know he's probably eating Pepper's ficus in the living room." You whispered, Morgan eating the goji berries. Peter looked down at her and she smiled sheepishly, offering him one too.

"So, do we catch him? I don't know anything about herding alpacas." Peter whispered back, taking the berry from Morgan and popping it in his mouth. You clutched the chair and flipped it outward, the way you'd see lion tamers do it in the circus.

"And I do? I have no idea what you do with alpacas, what do they like eating?" You asked, taking a careful step toward the living room. Morgan cleared her throat, waving the bag of berries at you and Peter. It dawned on you that the answer was right in front of you.

"That's it! Goji berries! We can lure him back outside with them!" You said, taking the bag from Morgan. Peter took your hand and Morgan's and the three of you crept down the hallway and into the living room, trying not to make too much noise. You had just rounded the corner when you heard a loud munch and the sound of leaves rustling.

"Rest in peace, ficus." You mumbled, emerging from the doorway. There, in the middle of the living room, was Gerald destroying Pepper's prized ficus. Peter winced as the pot toppled over, dirt spilling everywhere. Morgan looked up at you, waiting for directions.

"Okay, Morgan you try distracting Gerald with the berries. Then I'll use the chair to get him out of the living room, and Peter can uh.....Peter can assist?" You said, not sure what to have Peter do. Peter sighed, using the spatula to push a curl out of his face.

"I love how everyone else has a job but me. How about I hold the door open?" Peter asked, and you and Morgan had a silent conversation. Morgan nodded and so did you, deciding that was the best course of action. Peter huffed, both loving and hating that he was the odd one out on this particular mission. But you and Morgan had always gotten along better, it was a girl thing. You were the older sister she'd always wanted.

"Alright, everyone ready? Let's go!" You whispered, and the three of you snuck into the living room. Gerald stopped munching and looked up, a deer in the headlights sort of look in his eyes. Morgan walked over slowly, the berries in her hand. Gerald eyed her suspiciously, trying to back up and run. But when he smelled what was in her hand, he couldn't resist padding over.

"Now!" Morgan cried, and you leapt into the room with your bar stool. Gerald brayed and tried to push past you, but you were quicker. You blocked the escape route and held the chair up, guiding him to Peter. Morgan used her hands and pushed him out into the kitchen using Peter's plastic spatula. Peter held the door as Morgan shoved him back outside, shutting the door with the click of a lock.

"Whew, next time we'll just buy goji berries." You laughed, slumping against the wall. Morgan opened the blinds and smiled, watching Gerald prance around in the backyard. Peter stood next to you, resting his head on your shoulder. Morgan went back to her stool and waved at the two of you.

"I'm really hungry, can we eat now?" She asked, patting the stools next to her. You smiled, leading Peter over to sit down. Peter gave Morgan some food and then made sure you had some before eating himself. It was nice, the three of you eating together. Morgan said that your salad was much better than Pepper's, which made Peter fall out of his chair laughing.

And when Morgan yawned, you and Peter helped her change into her pajamas and tucked her in. She wanted you to read her a story, so you made up one about a brave warrior princess slash inventor that saved the world. Morgan liked that one, and though she tried to stay awake she fell asleep pretty quickly. Peter sat on the floor, listening to you and falling even more in love with you. You with kids were his weakness, all he wanted to marry you and have kids of his own with you. Peter smiled when you leaned over and kissed Morgan's forehead,

"Hey spider boy, you coming?" You teased, turning off the lights and crooking a finger at him. Peter had been so busy daydreaming that he hadn't noticed you get up. He stood and followed you into the living room. You'd since cleaned up the dirt and broken shards, and the kitchen was nice and spotless. Peter crashed on the couch, spreading his legs and patting the space between them.

"Come here, I wanna cuddle with you." He said, and you rolled your eyes at his neediness. But to be honest, you loved that about him. Peter was the best boyfriend you could have asked for, everything he did made your heart flutter. You sat in between his legs, Peter's arms wrapping around you and his head in your hair. You leaned back against his chest, feeling his heartbeat quicken.

"This is nice." You murmured, your eyes closing slightly. Peter hummed, completely intoxicated with the smell of your hair. You smiled when Peter kissed brought your knuckles to his lips, kissing them gently. You turned around and got on his lap, running your hands through his brown curls.

"Please keep doing that." Peter whispered, and you giggled when he closed his eyes. You stroked his cheek, smiling when his skin turned pink at the contact. Even now, Peter blushed whenever you touched him. But that just spurred you on, made you want to keep turning him pink. Peter instinctively leaned into your touch, his breath slowing and a blissful smile gracing his lips. You kissed his nose, which made Peter frown.

"Not there, you missed." He said, and you bit your lip to keep from laughing. You cupped his face and brushed your lips over his ever so softly. Then you deepened the kiss, pouring all your love into it. Because you did, love Peter. Peter's arms circled your waist, bringing you closer as your mouth moved against his. You smiled into the kiss when Peter whimpered quietly, his head spinning. When you broke away, Peter looked so content he could have been unconscious.

"Did I miss that time?" You grinned and Peter just smiled in response. His eyes were closed, still drinking in the feeling of your lips on his. You shifted slightly, placing your head on his chest. Peter grabbed your waist and brought you both to lay down on the couch, keeping his arms around you.

"No, you got it." He chuckled, his breath fanning out across the back of your neck. You closed your eyes and was about to drift off to sleep when the front door lock clicked. You sat up, Peter with you as Pepper walked in, waving at the two of you.

"So, how did it go?" You asked as Pepper kicked off her heels and dropped her purse by the umbrella stand. She smiled, noticing Peter still holding you close.

"Good, I think. Just glad it's over, I'm exhausted." She walked into the kitchen and grabbed a slice of pizza, closing her eyes in relief when she took a bite. Peter stood up and followed you into the kitchen, taking Pepper's coat for her.

"Thanks, Pete. So, how's the little alpha female? I hope she didn't give you any trouble." Pepper said, taking a seat on one of the bar stools. You tried not to smile as Peter laughed awkwardly, trying to figure out what to tell Pepper.

"Oh, she was fine. But we did have a little trouble with Gerald." He said, opening the trash and showing her the broken pot. Pepper groaned, getting up and looking in the living room to see her ficus was gone.

"Ugh, that alpaca will be the death of me. I didn't even want him, but Tony insisted. It seems wrong to get rid of him now, but he needs to be trained or something." She said, looking out the window to make sure Gerald was still there. Sure enough, there he was, back in the goji berry patch sniffing around for more.

"Sorry about the ficus." You said but Pepper waved it away as nothing. She was just grateful there hadn't been any more damage, Gerald was apparently quite the menace. Pepper was about to offer you money, which you both would have refused, when Morgan wandered in.

"Mommy!" She squealed, running over to give her a hug. Pepper smiled, picking her up and kissing her cheek. Morgan looked over at you and Peter, and then back at Pepper.

"Gerald ate Barry, Mom." She giggled, and Peter quirked an eyebrow.

"Did you name the ficus?" He asked, and you laughed when Morgan nodded as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. Pepper shook her head, putting Morgan down and telling her to go back to bed. Morgan sighed, giving you both hugs before going back to her room.

"Thanks you two, you're lifesavers honestly. Please take this." She handed you the biggest wad of cash you'd ever seen a person carry, and Peter's eyes widened. But you told her you couldn't accept it, especially since Morgan was like your little sister. Peter agreed, giving it back to Pepper. Her eyes watered a little when she heard that, and she hugged you both.

"Thank you, really. It's been hard after Tony's death, but you're the reason everything isn't falling apart. Tony would be so happy." Pepper said, a tear falling from her eyes. You tried not to cry, but Peter was losing the battle. When Tony died, it was like losing his father all over again. But thankfully he had you, Aunt May, and the Starks to support him through it.

"Wow, I'm so tired." Pepper laughed, wiping her eyes. You took Peter's hand and told her to get some rest, she'd had a long day. She nodded as best as she could and walked you both to the door, thanking you again and asking if you wanted a ride home.

"Pepper, you can barely keep your eyes open. Don't worry about us, Peter will just swing us home." You laughed, and Pepper finally agreed. After assuring her you'd get home safely, she sent you off and went to sleep.

"I like babysitting with you." Peter said as you both walked down the driveway hand in hand. You smiled, swinging his hand and feeling the cool air hit your face. The night was quiet and calm, and a couple of stars twinkled overhead.

"Me too, you'd be a great dad." You clapped a hand over your mouth as soon as you said it, realizing how weird that sounded. You'd been thinking about Dad Peter for a while now, but you didn't want to make things awkward or freak him out. Peter smiled when he realized how nervous you were, stopping you for a moment.

"Hey, it's okay. I was thinking about you as a mom too, when I saw you with Morgan today. It's not weird, I want that with you. You know, at some point." He said, and you breathed a sigh of relief. Then his words registered and your jaw dropped.

"With me? Really?" You were smiling now, completely taken aback. Peter laughed, looking at you with such heart eyes you thought you'd melt.

"Really, you're it for me." Peter whispered, pulling you into a hug. You sniffled against his hoodie, feeling yourself get emotional. You could picture yourself with Peter ten years from now, with a family. It made you excited for the future.

"So, wanna go home and watch Star Wars?"

"Do you really have to ask?"
