Parent teacher interviews

Today was parent teacher interview day, meaning that everyone's parents of Peter's year would be organising interviews with the teachers in order to find out how their children were going at school.

Peter almost tripped on his untied shoelaces as he ran into the kitchen, having awoken slightly late that morning. He wore a science pun t shirt that Tony had bought him, paired with a jacket and jeans.

He sat down at the dining table, inhaling his breakfast while Natasha tied his shoelaces for him, seeing as he had forgotten to do it himself and everyone knew he would manage to trip on them before he even got out of the door.

"Alright, does everyone remember the plan?" Steve asked the Avengers seriously, holding the bag of disguises in one hand.

Everyone replied with yeses, except for Sam, who had forgotten the plan, making everyone groan.

"We're going to disguise ourselves as Mr and Mrs Hayter, Peter's adoptive parents. There will be a pair for every class, and when your turn is over, you sit in the car and wait. There'll be snacks in there if you get hungry." Steve explained.

"Right. Okay."

"Guys we're gonna be late, lets go." Peter said, standing up from his seat.

Tony walked over and licked his thumb, wiping away a bit of food that was on Peter's face.

Everyone froze.

"Holy sh!t I was trying so hard not to be my father I became my mother. I did not see this coming." Tony said, stepping away from Peter, who started giggling.

"Oh my god I have two mums, and they're both men!" He said, causing the others to start laughing too. Steve and Tony didn't look happy.

"Let's go then," Steve sighed, leading the way to the elevator.

It took several minutes of Peter waiting outside the van before the first pair of parents was shoved out of the van, looking very embarrassed.

Steve wore a fake moustache and a large hat, paired with his normal clothes, and beside him was Bucky.

Bucky had his long black hair curled and wore pink lipstick. He had a bra on under a girls top, one of the pink straps poking out on the shoulder, and he had a skirt on instead of his usual shorts. On his feet was a pair of red stilettos.

Peter covered his mouth to stifle his giggles, Bucky and Steve leading the way up to the school with the chins held up proud, Steve holding Bucky's hand to 'make it more realistic' he said.

Peter's history teacher was beyond surprised.

She almost dropped her papers, but quickly contained her composure and shook each of their hands.

"You- you must be Mr and Mrs Hayter?" She said kindly, shuffling her papers and straightening her glasses.

Bucky seemed to be stifling giggles, leaning back in his chair. Peter said between them, fiddling with the bottom of his shirt awkwardly.

They talked about Peter's behaviour for a little while, what he did well in, what he didn't do well in, and eventually got to the topic of WW2 as a side topic.

Bucky and Steve ended up leaving the room in a bit of a huff- apparently, the history teacher got the facts 'all wrong'.

Peter was giggling again as they left, heading towards the car to swap parents.

Natasha and Clint came out next, Clint with the fake moustache and floppy hat, and Natasha just wearing her normal clothes.

Peter's Spanish teacher was not a nice woman, but luckily Natasha intimidated her in Spanish so she stopped being so rude pretty quickly.

Sam and Thor were his parents for sport class, finding out that Peter was doing 'exceptional'. Thor was dressed as a woman for that interview, and Peter spent at least five minutes laughing at him, especially since he was wearing one of Jane's dresses. He looked like this:

Soon, there was only one class left.

Science.

Tony was dressed as a woman, looking like this:

While Bruce wore his normal clothes, paired with a fake moustache.

Mr Harrison sat at his desk, and choked on his water as Tony and Bruce entered the room.

"Mr and Mrs Hayter!" He said eventually, recovering from the shock.

"Pleasure to meet you Mr Harrison." Tony said in a high pitched voice, finger twirling around a lock of his wig.

Peter almost cracked up laughing right then and there, face going red as his shoulders quaked with silent laughter, a hand clapped over his mouth.

Bruce, meanwhile, almost facepalmed.

"How is Peter going in his science class?" Tony continued.

"He's, uh, doing very well, actually. Really good student, and uh, gets his work done independently."

Tony nodded, plucked eyebrows furrowed ever so slightly in seriousness.

They talked for about two more minutes, then it was over, the pair walking through the corridors.

"God, this skirt is uncomfortable, I can't wait to take it off..." Tony grumbled.

"Tell me about it." A voice said, startling the three.

There they stood- everyone who was supposed to be in the car, still in costume and everything.

"What are you guys doing here?!" Tony gasped, glancing around to see if anyone was watching.

"We were bored." Clint replied, shrugging.

"You should have just stayed in the car! We might get caught-"

"What. The. Hell?" A voice interrupted, making everyone turn around and look at the teen, standing at the end of the hallway, looking at all the Avengers. They stared at them in shock for several minutes, looking both confused and amused.

"We can explain!" Tony said quickly.

The teen raised an eyebrow, waiting for an explanation.

"Okay... no we can't." Tony sighed. "Please don't tell anyone?"

"Okay," the teen agreed. "I promise."

Peter sat on the couch, laughing so hard he nearly fell off the couch, clutching his stomach as tears crept from the sides of his brown, doe like eyes.

On the coffee table in front of him sat the newspaper of the day, with a picture of the avengers- some wearing dresses and wigs, and some wearing moustaches and hats, standing at the end of the hallway of the school. It was obvious the teen had taken it, and at the best moment too- for they were all in perfect accidental poses, with Thor's hair getting fixed by Natasha.

The headline was in bold across the top.

Avengers wear disguises and go to local high school.

Then, below the headline, was the photo and the artical.

Why did the Avengers go to the local high school- Midtown high? Were they on a mission? More on page 6!

Oh god, thought Peter. This is gold.

The avengers meanwhile, looked rather salty over the fact that the teen had betrayed them.

Bucky was sitting on the couch opposite Peter, glaring at the newspaper, arms folded. Steve sat beside him, pouting like a sad puppy, while Sam smashed glasses on the floor, a new one handed to him by Natasha once one was smashed. Clint was on top of the fridge again, napping in his nest.

Tony and Bruce had gone to the labs again, trying to get back their reputation by inventing something fancy.

Vision and Wanda weren't that embarrassed, thinking it was hilarious. Then again, neither of them had to disguise themselves a lot to get away with it.

Thor was on the phone with Darcy, listening to her laugh at him with a deadpan facial expression.

After Darcy had finally finished laughing and told him that was the only thing she had called for, he hung up.

It was only a few minutes later that Loki called up, doing the exact same thing as Darcy had, his laughter heard by Peter from quite far away.

Peter wasn't allowed to mention that incident ever again, and if he did, they would cover his mouth and threaten to ground him.

Peter just grinned evilly. This would not be forgotten, that was for sure.

A/N thanks for reading, sorry this chapter wasn't the best. I probably won't be updating until Thursday because I have end of year exams coming up, and Thursday is the last day I have them. I'm so glad Friday is a pupil free day! *sigh of relief* anyway, thank you for reading, have a good day :)
