Interview
"As your assignment you are required to interview your hero. You must have at least ten questions, and have a video of the interview to submit to me. Here's the task sheet." Mrs Fay said, walking around the smelly english classroom and handing a sheet to each person.
Peter and Ned looked at each other in excitement, and even MJ looked up from her book to look over the task sheet. It was a pretty boring assignment to most, but Ned, Peter, and MJ, were all able to interview the Avengers if they wanted to.
The bell rung a couple of minutes later and everyone piled out of the classroom, chattering away and flooding towards the exits.
"Are you coming this afternoon? I'm guessing you want to interview one of the avengers." Peter asked as they came to a stop outside his locker.
"Yeah I just need to text my mum, think she'd be fine with it," Ned said, unable to keep the excited tone from his voice as he pulled out his phone.
Two minutes later, Happy certainly wasn't happy as he listened to the pairs excited chatter in the back of the car. He eventually put up the little glass bit between them, but Ned and Peter weren't bothered, knowing he would do it eventually.
"Do you want anything to eat?" Peter asked as they walked into the kitchen, dumping their bags by the door with their shoes. There was many shoes at the door, some boots, high heels, sneakers, converse, even a pair of light up sneakers that belonged to Lila.
"What have you got?"
"Literally everything," Peter opened the pantry door, revealing a massive pantry filled with various foods. "Want a cookie?"
"Sure!" Peter handed Ned some cookies from the box, then started making them some sandwiches to eat. He had just gotten the nutella out to spread on the bread when it was yanked out of his hand, held up high out of his reach.
"No nutella Peter, have something healthier in your sandwiches." Steve scolded him, putting the nutella back in the pantry.
"What's the point of having nutella if I'm not allowed to eat it?" Peter asked, pouting.
"Decoration." Steve joked, pulling out a lettuce, a couple of tomatoes, some cheese, and mayonnaise. "I'll make your sandwich, go sit down with Ned and do your homework."
"Yes mum..." Peter mumbled, plopping onto the couch beside Ned.
"Do you wanna start writing the questions?" Ned asked, pulling out his english book.
"Yeah, that sounds like a good idea." Peter replied, also pulling out his english book.
It took about half an hour to finish writing out their questions, munching on their sandwiches as they did so.
"It's still annoying that they treat me like a kid you know," Peter was saying, leaving the sandwich crusts on his plate. "I'm pretty much a grown up now that I'm fifteen."
Ned nodded in agreement, right as Tony walked in.
"Oh hey Peter, I put the drawing you did of us on the fridge." Tony said, gesturing towards a crayon drawing of Peter and Tony holding hands in their suits, which was magneted on the fridge. "And Steve is coming to the expo tonight so we can't tuck you in, so I'm putting Uncle Clint and Auntie Nat on tucking in duty. I'll leave Mr Teddy for you if you miss us too much."
Peter smiled at him. "Thanks dad, will you be back in the morning?"
"Yep, then we can have our father-son nap time like usual, but the others probably won't join us because of what you did with the airhorn last time." Tony said, sending Peter a playful glare.
Peter just smiled sheepishly, sharing a look with Ned.
"Anyway, I'll be in the lab if you need me."
Ned turned to Peter and squeaked loudly, clapping his hands together.
"Dude, you have naps with the Tony Stark, and he tucks you in at night and-"
"Ned this isn't news to you, you've known this stuff since- well, since the adoption, so why do you still fanboy so hard?"
"Because! He's super famous! This is great!"
Peter rolled his eyes. "You set the camera up, I'm going to go get Steve for the interview, you can go first since you have limited time here."
Ned nodded excitedly, knocking over the camera stand as he attempted to put the camera on it.
"Oops," he chuckled, picking it up.
Soon, Steve was sitting on the couch opposite Ned, smiling in a friendly manner.
Ned cleared his throat seriously, holding his palm cards tight to stop his shaking hands.
"What makes you want to save the world so bad?" Ned asked.
"Well it is where I live, and I have people I care about who live here so I'm not going let their home get destroyed, or let them get killed. There are innocent people out there who get punished for other peoples actions, and I'm here to stop that. I also don't like bullies." Steve replied.
Ned nodded, mouth hanging open, before he remembered he had more questions and went to the next one, stuttering slightly.
By the time he got to the last one, Peter was getting a drink of water, bored by all the questions being asked.
"What was your reaction when you found out about Peter getting bullied?" Ned asked, and Steve blinked.
Behind him, Peter choked on his water, face going red as he spluttered water everywhere, Thor thumping his back.
The second his lungs was clear of water, Peter started frantically making faces at Ned.
He cut his hand across his neck, shaking his head and mouthing; 'he doesn't know!'.
Ned, realising his mistake, tried to fix what he had said. "I- I mean, bully? Peter has a bully? Psh, bull-bullies don't exist at Midtown, there's too many-uhhh, bags?"
Peter almost face palmed, deciding the only thing to do now was to run.
He tiptoed towards the door, hoping Steve wouldn't hear him leaving.
Steve, who had been breathing deeply through his nose for the past few minutes, jaw clenched, hands almost ripping a hole in the couch, didn't even turn around.
"Peter, get over here right now."
Peter let out a deep breath, eyes closing as he winced. "Yes mum." He mumbled, walking over to Steve on the couch. Ned watched with an open mouth, wondering what exactly was about to happen.
"Peter, let's talk." Steve said, voice deadly.
Peter gulped.

Flash sat in his science class the next day, throwing a ball of paper in the air an catching it. He was bored, and the teacher was droning on and on.
Parker hadn't turned up to first session today, so he didn't have his usual entertainment of throwing spit balls at him.
"Eugene Thompson please report to the principals office. Eugene Thompson." The admins boring voice said through the speakers, making Flash frown in confusion.
"Off you go Flash, you can come back for your bag if you need it." The teacher said as every eye in the room turned to Flash.
Flash stood up and swaggered out of the room, wondering why exactly he was being called to the principals office. Maybe he was getting an award! He thought, smiling. It would be something great to rub in Parker's ugly face.
What he didn't expect was to find Peter sitting in one of the chairs in front of the principal, face looking like he had a frog in his mouth. Around him stood every single avenger- Ironman, Captain America, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, Thor, Hulk, Vision, the Falcon, the Winter Soldier and even Pepper Potts.
They all glared at him, arms folded, looking rather intimidating. Flash's heart leapt to his throat and his lip trembled ever-so-slightly.
"Take a seat Mr Thompson, we have a lot to talk about." The principal said gravely. Flash gulped, his adam's apple bobbing.
"There has been reports of you bullying Peter. Is this true?"
"What? N-No!"
The Black Widow made a menacing growling noise that made Flash jump slightly, inching away from them all.
"Eugene, I'm going to ask you one more time. Have you been bullying Peter?"
Eugene couldn't speak so he shook his head, swallowing.
"Eugene we have evidence of you bullying him." The principal told him, eyebrows knitted together in seriousness. "You realise that bullying, especially physical bullying, is illegal?"
Flash nodded quickly.
"And that the punishment will be very harsh?"
Flash nodded again, eyeing the avengers that looked like they were going to kill him as he slept.
"Mr Parker, uh, Avengers, could you please leave the room for a moment? I'd like to speak to Eugene alone." The principal asked politely, everyone grumbling slightly as they left the room, Captain America with an arm around Peter's shoulder, hand gripping his shoulder tightly, as though thinking Peter would run away.
Then again, Peter did look like he wanted to run very badly.
They all sat in the hallway, wondering what the principal was going to do to Flash, nibbling on a few snacks.
Steve sat on one side of Peter and Tony on the other, all while Peter shrunk, feeling very self conscious. Steve had lectured him last night, a lot, and now he had been forced to report the bullying to the principal, all while they constantly asked if he was okay and about his mental health and stuff.
Peter just wanted to go home.
He leant his head on Tony's shoulder, letting him wrap a comforting arm around his shoulders, pressing a kiss against his forehead.
"Do you wanna have a father son nap when we get home?" Tony asked quietly. Peter nodded into his side so Tony rubbed his arm.
"And I want pancakes and ice cream for dinner." Peter mumbled, making Tony chuckle.
"Alright kiddo," he said. "We'll do that."
The door to the principals office opened, and out stepped Flash, looking both terrified, sad, and angry. The principal stood behind him, face serious as usual.
"If you wanted to know, Flash has been suspended for two weeks and had detention every day for three weeks after that. One more slip up and he's expelled. I've also changed his timetable so he won't be in the same classes as you any more Peter." The principal told them all.
"Why didn't he get expelled straight away?" Natasha asked angrily, stepping in front of Peter subconsciously.
"Because of reasons I cannot tell you, because they are between Eugene and I."
Clint scoffed, rolling his eyes. "Probably has rich parents who fund the school or something." He said, glaring at Flash as he passed to sit on a chair, waiting for his parents to arrive to pick him up.
Tony and Steve stood up, and Peter did too a moment later, looking rather tired.
"Let's get going then." Steve sighed, him and Tony wrapping both their arms around Peter's shoulders so that Peter had one person on either side of him.
"You know, I don't think I can wait till we get home to have my nap..." Peter mumbled as they left the administration, heading towards the slick black cars that waited in the parking lot.
"You don't have to, you get some sleep kiddo. You'll probably wake up in your bed later on anyway." Tony said, climbing into the back seat to sit beside Peter.
Peter nodded, rubbing his eyes with balled fists in a childlike manner.
He was asleep in two minutes flat, his soft breathing filling up the car. Tony looked down at him, his face relaxed in his slumber.
If they couldn't protect Peter, he was damn sure they would avenge him.
Of course, that was what they had done, but he wished he had been able to protect the innocent boy.
Because he saved so many people, sometimes he forgot to save himself.
