Nico Minoru was one of the maternal figures in the life of Mayday Parker.  As Nico and Peter liked to call the baby girl,'The Surprise.'  It went without saying that Peter would make her the  godmother. The single parent life with a child inheriting his powers and his vigilante life could've been chaos. But with the help of her and everyone he considered family, Peter loved this responsibility even more.  May Parker and Nico's adopted mother/ former foster mother became grandmothers to the child.

Nico always had the best luck in getting Peter's daughter off the ceiling and the walls when she crawled up them. Calling in when she wasn't around to check in on Mayday and Peter constantly.

Peter considered Mayday to be his 'brightest day' and Nico his 'darkest knight'. Nico called "Mayday" an angel.

Peter and Nico going  to events with the baby made people assume they were a couple. Some of the runaways assumed as much when her friends came rushing to ask for her help and finding her calming an upset Mayday.

Co-parenting with his best friend was the dynamic that delighted them even if sometimes blurred the lines.

For one  birthday gift, Nico gave the girl a hat similar to that of Molly Hayes  figure but designed like Peter's mask. She treated Mayday like her own, protected her like her own.. When the Scorpion  threatened Mayday, Nico called upon every protection for her goddaughter. Then  she made yhe poison in the mechanical tail eat away at the emerald armor. Then, finally, she gave him the phantom pains of having his own poison trapped in his veins before knocking him out with her stilettos. 

Mayday grew up with Nico Minoru as her mother in all but offical name. Like May was to Peter.
