All I Want [College!Female!Reader]
Winter Break had officially began for all College students and High School students alike (though College students started earlier and had longer). Their friends had finally made their way back to Queens. They all had made plans to catch up soon, but not right away. As much as they longed to see each other, family needed to come first. Their friends hadn't seen their family much just as they hadn't seen their friends, and surely their tired minds wanted nothing more than to lounge around their forever home for a while before going out. This left Peter and ____ to having some time to themselves. They were always home and always saw her Mom or his Aunt May, so they got time to just kick back and chill alone- provided Spidey wasn't needed. With Christmas coming up, crime picked up. More robberies came about, the greediest of criminals surfacing to get that one big TV or to steal from that one rich family almost everyone envied.
Needless to say, Peter was out often. She was a little bummed, but she wasn't mad. She could wait for him, just as she always had. Though now, she didn't have to worry about upcoming homework or projects. She could do other things instead. Like fill up her apartment with the scent of warm cookies and minty coffee. She could blast out Christmas music and dance around her kitchen all on her own. She had the apartment to herself since her mother was working.
"I ᴅᴏɴ'ᴛ ᴡᴀɴᴛ ᴀʟᴏᴛ ғᴏʀ Cʜʀɪsᴛᴍᴀs. Tʜᴇʀᴇ ɪs ᴊᴜsᴛ ᴏɴᴇ ᴛʜɪɴɢ I ɴᴇᴇᴅ. I ᴅᴏɴ'ᴛ ᴄᴀʀᴇ ᴀʙᴏᴜᴛ ᴛʜᴇ Cʜʀɪsᴛᴍᴀs ᴘʀᴇsᴇɴᴛs ᴜɴᴅᴇʀɴᴇᴀᴛʜ ᴛʜᴇ Cʜʀɪsᴛᴍᴀs ᴛʀᴇᴇ."
Clad in one of Peter's cozy sweaters and a pair of short shorts, She danced around her kitchen slightly, mixing up another batch of cookies. Her hair was a wild mess, sitting atop her head in a small messy bun. Her head bobbed around to the classic Mariah Carey song blasting out of her big bluetooth speaker Peter had gotten her. He'd claimed it was because he didn't want her to blow out her TV's speakers, but really it was because he hoped she'd do this with it. He knew how much she loved to bake, especially with music. He loved how happy she got- he just hated how he always missed it. He always caught her just as she was finishing up.
"I ᴊᴜsᴛ ᴡᴀɴᴛ ʏᴏᴜ ғᴏʀ ᴍʏ ᴏᴡɴ, ᴍᴏʀᴇ ᴛʜᴀɴ ʏᴏᴜ ᴄᴏᴜʟᴅ ᴇᴠᴇʀ ᴋɴᴏᴡ. Mᴀᴋᴇ ᴍʏ ᴡɪsʜ ᴄᴏᴍᴇ ᴛʀᴜᴇ. Aʟʟ I ᴡᴀɴᴛ ғᴏʀ Cʜʀɪsᴛᴍᴀs ɪs ʏᴏᴜ."
Before she knew it, she was singing along. She caught all the high notes, dancing around her kitchen happily, a bright smile on her face. She used her spoon as a microphone, the bowl of cookie dough completely forgotten on her counter for the moment. The coffee machine beeped, signaling that the coffee she'd been waiting on was ready, but she ignored that too. She always loved the winter months, December especially. Once December 1st rolled around she was absolutely ready for Christmas. She was ready for snowy days and late nights spent baking just about anything and everything. Her apartment always smelled of either mint, cinnamon or some mixture of chocolate and warm caramel. She was always at her happiest when she baked.
She was so into her music, she didn't notice Peter quietly sneaking out of her room. He had text her that he was on his way, and assumed that her lack of response meant that she was either showering or had called it a night already. He was surprised to hear music blaring from her kitchen when he climbed in, so he'd hurriedly slipped out of his suit and into proper clothes, thinking that her Mother might be home early tonight. He peeked out of her room, seeing just her, dancing around and singing in his sweater and some shorts. He swore his heart melted at the sight. He loved it when she stole his clothes. Sometimes he'd never get them back, but if he ever did, they always smelled of her sweet perfume and were considerably softer than he remembered.
Her happy dancing and singing was the cutest thing he'd ever seen and he found himself staring at her for a few moments. This. This right here was all his. This beautiful girl had his heart and soul and he wouldn't give it up for anything in the world. God- he loved her so incredibly much.
Biting his lip, he pulled out his phone, remaining quiet as he pressed record, thankful that his flash wasn't on at the moment.
"This is my girlfriend..", he murmured to the front facing camera, turning his body to show her in the background, having a blast, "She's gonna kill me, but it's okay. I never get to see this."
"Cᴀᴜsᴇ I ᴊᴜsᴛ ᴡᴀɴᴛ ʏᴏᴜ ʜᴇʀᴇ ᴛᴏɴɪɢʜᴛ, ʜᴏʟᴅɪɴ' ᴏɴ ᴛᴏ ᴍᴇ sᴏ ᴛɪɢʜᴛ. Wʜᴀᴛ ᴍᴏʀᴇ ᴄᴀɴ I ᴅᴏ? Bᴀʙʏ, ᴀʟʟ I ᴡᴀɴᴛ ғᴏʀ Cʜʀɪsᴛᴍᴀs ɪs ʏᴏᴜ."
His heart felt so warm and full just by looking at her. Her [h/c] hair was a mess atop her head and if he wasn't so desperate to forever have a memory of her like this, he'd run up to her and kiss her all over. Having a video of this moment was the only thing that prevented him from sliding into her kitchen, scooping her up in his arms and swaying to the music with her while kissing her all over her face. He wanted to be able to look back on this moment whenever he felt like. He wasn't looking to make her 'go viral' or anything- he just loved her big bright smile and they way she moved so easily with the rhythm.
"She's really into it. This is the cutest thing ever- I love her so much.", he continued speaking to the camera, switching between front facing and rear facing camera. "I really want to kiss her but I also really want to catch every moment of this. It's like war in my head right now-"
"Peter Benjamin Parker!", she screeched out, making him jump. He hadn't realized he'd been caught.
"Oh shit- I'm dead now, it was nice knowing- did you just throw cookie dough at me?", he was still recording, zooming in on her red face with a chuckle.
"I'm going to murder you-"
"But I love you! That was so cute!"
"It was embarrassing and you got it on video- were you vlogging me?!"
"I wasn't gonna post it but- well, I'm rethinking it."
"Don't you dare! Peter!"
The rest of the video was of her chasing him and flinging balls of cookie dough, some of which he caught with his mouth, mumbling a 'Thanks, babe!' before running away from her again. Laughter and yelling filled up the entirety of her apartment, Mariah Carey's song playing on loop while she continued to chase him and throw cookie dough and pillows his way.
"You keep chasing me and you won't get me for Christmas!"
This had made her pause, looking at him confused, "What?"
"The song. Don't you want me for Christmas?"
"You dork! Hey- I'm supposed to be chasing you- put me down- no! No kisses for you- I'm trying to be mad- Peter!"
Her giggles filled his ears as he kissed all over her face, murmuring out how he loved her and how cute it all was. His heart was so full and so happy, even more so when she returned his kisses with her own.
"I love you so much, Peter. Still gonna kill you though."
"That's fine. I'll die happy.", he replied dreamily.
"Oh my god- you're such a dork!"
"A dork that you loooove.", he sang out, smiling happily when she puffed and pressed a kiss to his lips. He was quick to melt into it, savoring how she tasted like chocolate chips. It went well with the sweet taste of sugar cookie dough that was still on his tongue. His hands cradled her face, pulling her in closer for a moment before shifting to her hips. She swayed to the music, moving him with her. They hadn't really danced like this since their wonderful Prom night. True, they didn't get to dance on the dance floor like they'd hoped to but.. where they ended up dancing was infinitely better. It made for a beautiful memory that they both cherished.
"All I want for Christmas is yooouuu.", she sang softly against his lips, making him chuckle as he swayed to the music with her.
"You've absolutely got me, babe.", he replied, pecking her lips.
"Oh I know. You've got me too."
"God- I hope so, otherwise all this would be really awkward."
She laughed, and he smiled, "Hush up and kiss me you dork."
"Anything for you.", he murmured before closing the space between them.
They spent the rest of the night dancing around together and attempting (but failing) to bake some more cookies. They ended up having another food fight (that they also had to clean) and got flour everywhere. Peter also may have burned a batch or two before letting her completely take over and finish with what they had left. It wasn't much either, but it didn't matter. They had all the fun in the world that night. They laughed so hard their stomachs hurt and kissed so much they swore they bruised their lips. They had so much love for each other- it was beautiful.
Christmas time brought out the best in people sometimes- and it brought out so much love.
"Bᴀʙʏ, ᴀʟʟ I ᴡᴀɴᴛ ғᴏʀ Cʜʀɪsᴛᴍᴀs ɪs ʏᴏᴜ."
