STORY ONE - Flash you idiot

Flinching at the sharp ring of the end of school bell, Peter started packing his backpack up, but Mr. Harrington had other plans.

"Class, before you leave, I have a special announcement! For this year's science field trip, we are going to... ba-ba-ba-da! Stark Industries! Alright, so MJ, can you pass these permission slips out? Return them by Wednesday, the trip is on Friday! Lunches will be provided for us there."

"Stark Industries!?" Peter groaned, slouching in his chair. This was going to be the worst field trip ever. Touring his own home did not sound fun at all, especially since the Avengers were most certainly going to make this the most embarrassing this to ever happen to him.

"What's wrong, Penis? Scared you'll be kicked out for faking an internship? Ha! If I were you I wouldn't even bother coming along!" Flash laughed, leaving the classroom with his goons.

"Ignore him, Peter," Ned said from next to him. "He'll be eating his own words on Friday. I can't believe we're going to actually go to Stark Industries! Do you think Tony Stark will be there?"

"That's my concern, Ned, all of the Avengers are going to be there. Just to annoy and embarrass me." Peter said. He stood and slung his backpack over his shoulder, walking to his locker then out of the school building to where Happy was picking him up.

"Hey Happy," said Peter, throwing his backpack on the empty seat next to him. He was silent for the rest of the drive.

When he got home, aka, Stark Industries, he immediately threw away the permission slip. He had debated with himself and agreed with Flash: it would be better off if he didn't even show up to school.

"Hi Mr. Stark, Mama Spider, Uncle Clint," Peter called, walking into the penthouse on the top floor. Tony glanced up from his calculations to wave, and Natasha and Clint shouted their greetings from the couch. They were in the midst of a very intense Mario Carts competition.

"Hey kid, how was your day at school," said Steve, walking out from the stairs.

"Eh, the usual. Boring, uneventful," Peter said, trying to sound normal.

"Oh?" came Tony from the table, "so you don't have any interesting news of any field trips to any really awesome towers?" Peter gaped at him and Tony just laughed. "Kid, who do you think arranged the whole thing? Where's your permission slip. I'll sign it."

"I uh... I threw it away," Peter mumbled. "I thought it would be silly to tour my own house."

"Of course it'll be silly, that's why I arranged it! We get to annoy the shit out of you all we want, and in front of your classmates!" Tony said, gleeful. Steve scowled at Tony's no-no-word usage.

"Oh god, please don't!" Peter moaned. By this time, Nat and Clint had finished their game, ending in Clint winning.

"Oh, I love you my Baby Spider, but we are going to embarrass the fuck out of you," Natasha said, lovingly.

"Also," Tony added, "Pepper will be out of town, so she can't even stop us!"

Knowing Peter couldn't stop them from doing anything, he just trudged to his room, already accepting his fate for Friday.

--hmm time skip hmmm--

Friday came, and Peter was going to be late. He had, just maybe, purposefully forgotten to set his alarm, making him too late for the bus, but of course, Clint wouldn't stand for that.

At 5 in the morning, Peter was woken by an air-horn being blown in his room. He shot upwards, wincing as the noise pierced his sensitive ears. Clint stopped the noise, throwing some school clothes in Peter's face.

"Rise and shine Petey! Today is the day, the day is today! Friday! Your worst nightmare and our wildest fantasies! Today is the-" He went on. Peter just sat in his bed, watching Clint perform until he seemed finished.

"Are you done," Peter asked, bleary-eyed, ringing still in his ears.

"Yeah," Clint smiled, then skipped out of his room. Peter sighed and got into the clothes he was given, but after realizing it was his 'I survived my trip to NYC' shirt. He took it back off, rolling his eyes at Clint's antics.

--yeah time goes fast--

In Peter's opinion, he was just wasting gas going to the school just to come right back home. But Tony and Natasha disagreed, so Peter wasted the gas.

"Look who actually decided to show his pathetic face," Flash leered at Peter. They were waiting outside the school bus; the driver wasn't ready yet and Mr. Harrington was inside getting some final things worked out.

"Flash, I really don't think you want to call me that today," Peter warned, thinking how the Avengers would take seeing Flash bully him. It would not be pretty, that was for certain.

"Why? Because Iron Man will come after my ass after seeing me 'bully' his personal intern? In your wildest dreams, Penis."

"Really Flash, I mean it," Peter insisted, but Flash just snorted and pushed Peter up against the school bus. Peter could have easily evaded it, he had sensed it a mile away but didn't do anything. He could just as easily get Flash off him, but didn't.

"Listen Penis," Flash hissed, "you are nothing, worse than the dirt I walk in, why would an Avenger ever want you as their personal intern? They wouldn't, and I'm going to prove just that today as well as proving I'm 100% more worthy than you."

Flash let him go, and Peter caught his breath. Ned rushed up to him, taking him by the arm.

"Dude, why didn't you punch him or something? You could have totally, you know," Ned impersonated Peter's web-slinging with his hands and Peter shook his head.

"I can't do that, remember? I'm weak old Penis Parker to these people, I need to keep that side of me a secret, which is going to be really hard when we go to Stark Industries because all the Avengers are going to be there and try their darndest to embarrass me and Flash is going to be shredded to pieces, and-"

"ALL THE AVENGERS ARE GOING TO BE THERE?" Ned squealed loud enough for the whole class to hear. Peter shushed him, but it was no use. "Oh my god, do you think I can get Black Widow's signature? And Bruce Banners? And Tony Starks? And-"

"Ned shut up!" Peter said, looking around at the class who was listening to Flash go off about how Peter was obviously faking the Tony Stark internship.

"Alright everyone, on the bus!" Mr. Harrington announced, ushering them all up into their seats.

On the ride there, Peter could hear Flash's taunts and boastings the whole way. He tried to tell him to stop multiple times, just trying to save his sorry butt, but couldn't get through to him. Peter's dread only got worse as they rounded a corner and saw the huge building.

"Everyone in a single-file line, please!" Mr. Harrington shouted, and everyone got eagerly in a line, Flash pushing himself up to the front and Peter making himself in the back. They walked in, everyone gazing around at the beauty of it all.

Peter was also semi-impressed. He'd been through this entrance a few times, but not enough to warrant no fascination. He almost always went through the employee entrance or just swung up to his bedroom window.

"Hello and welcome to Stark Industries!" came a lady's voice. Peter turned around to see Klarisa, the tour guide for today, and one of Peter's colleagues. He wouldn't go as far as to say 'friend' because they only had chatted a few times.

There was a broken chorus of 'hello's and 'hi's responses from the class, and one very loud "HELLO! HOW ARE YOU TODAY MISS?" from Flash. He was no doubt trying to make a good first impression.

"I'm doing just fine, thank you! I am Klarisa, your tour guide. Today, we will be taking a look around at some of the lower-level intern labs, the Avengers informative gallery, and taking some very brief self-defense classes from a select few of the Avenger's personal trainers!

"Now, everyone needs to take their personal badge from this basket. You will need these to access the lower levels. Keep them visible at all times, anyone seen without a badge present will be escorted out of the building," Klarisa explained, and Peter felt a wave of anxiety.

He'd forgotten about this part. He had a red and gold badge, and Tony had a strict no re-printing of badges policy. He would need to show off his level 10 badge to everyone. And he was wearing his web-shooters, so FRIDAY will say he was a threat.

Flash saw that Peter didn't have a badge and pointed this out, to which Klarisa frowned. "Peter Parker works here, he should already have a badge. Where are you, Peter? Ah, there you are. You have your badge?"

Peter showed her his badge and Flash, of course, wanted to know what the different colors meant.

"Good question, Mr. Thompson!" Klarisa praised, and Flash puffed out his chest, smirking at Peter. "There are ten levels of security in Stark Industries. Level one, the white badges which y'all have, means you can access the floors 1-10. Badges of different colors mean different floors their allowed to access. Mine is green, meaning I can access floors 1-15. Red and gold, which is what Peter has, is level ten. He can access all 93 floors of Stark Industries!

"Now, if y'all will just walk across this stripe, FRIDAY, the Stark Industries AI will announce your name, level, and if any threats are detected. Don't worry, she's completely harmless."

The students started walking across the line, starting with Flash.

"Eugine Thompson, Level 1, no threat detected."

"Michelle Jones, Level 1, no threat detected."

It went all according to plan until Peter's turn. He knew there was going to be confusion, so he hesitated.

"What's wrong Parker, scared your fake badge won't work?" Flash called out. Peter shook himself out of his anxious thoughts and walked across the line.

"Peter Baby Spider Parker, Level 10, authorized threat detected. Welcome home Peter, I am ordered to notify Boss you are home. He says have a wonderful tour," FRIDAY announced, and Peter wanted to die of embarrassment already. He looked over at his class and they were all in awe and confusion, as predicted. All except Flash who looked furious.

"What the hell Penis," Flash hissed into Peter's ear after they started on their tour. "How did you do it, pay the girl, hack the system?"

"I didn't do anything, now please don't do anything the rest of the tour, I'm tired of telling you that you're gonna regret it!" Peter whispered. Flash just snorted in indignation and shoved Peter out of the way to get to the front of the group.

"And here we have the lower level intern labs! Each intern has a project they work on that they either come up with or are assigned to!" Klarisa said, and they walked through the intern's labs.

Peter waved to a few of his science buddies who waved back. Flash also tried waving to a few of them, only to get weird looks. Peter stifled a laugh and Flash flashed him a glare.

"Hey Miss Klarisa," Flash said, still staring at Peter, "You said all the interns have a personal project they work on?"

"That is right Mr. Thompson," Klarisa smiled.

"Hey, Penis! Where's your project, huh?" Flash called out, and Peter winced at the nickname. The Avengers certainly would have noticed.

"I work with Mr. Stark, it's in his lab, and it's confidential," Peter explained, knowing it would sound fake.

"Riiight," Flash said, disbelievingly. They continued on their tour with only a few name-callings from Flash, but so far no Avengers had shown up.

Just then, Peter's spider senses went off, and he side-stepped out of the way of Clint crashing down out of the ceiling vents.

"Hey Petey Boy!" Clint exclaimed, and Peter felt Ned's hand around his arm, cutting off his circulation.

"Peter!!! That's- that's-" Ned whispered, staring at Clint.

"Yeah, Ned. That's Hawkeye," Peter deadpanned. He thought everything was going well, but he'd thought it a second too soon. Of course Clint had to ruin it. "What do you want Uncle Clint."

"Peter!" said Mr. Harrington, looking surprised at Peter's rudeness. "Mr. Hawkeye, I would like to apologize for my student's behavior, he will be punished at school for his actions of disrespect-"

"No need Peter's teacher," Clint waved off, "it was just some friendly banter. Hey Pete, we're having a nerf war later, you're on my team - we have Steve, Bruce, Sam, Tony, and Wanda."

"Come on, Nat's against us? No way I'm playing," Peter complained, momentarily forgetting about his class next to him.

"But you have me! You know how good I am with nerf guns," Clint said, and Peter huffed.

"Fine, I'll join you guys, but only after I finish my homework."

"Yay! Also," Clint turned to the class, "Flash, buddy, let me just say. You had it coming." With that, Clint hopped back into the vents, leaving the class in utter confusion.

"What was that, Penis? How much did you pay? Who did you do? What lengths did you go to, huh?" Flash asked, shoving Peter against the wall.

"Step away from Peter Parker," FRIDAY said, loud and clear. Flash looked around, surprised, then angry. He let go of Peter and gave him death glares.

"Uh- Um... If we step this way," Klarisa continued, watching Flash and Peter's encounterment (A/N Is that a word?) with caution. "We'll see the Avengers informative gallery."

After that, Flash kept a larger distance from Peter, though he continued to call him names. Which was a little better, but the Avengers will still be pissed.

"Peter! Look, you have your own thing!" Ned said, and Peter hurried over.

"What? No way," Peter exclaimed. Sure enough, Tony had added a Spider-Man exhibit. It included some information that was mainly common knowledge, such as 'Spider-man was given his powers from a radioactive spider,' although some were more embarrassing. 'Spider-Man leaves his dirty underwear on his bedroom floor' was one of the worst.

"Why so fascinated, Penis? Shouldn't you already know all this information, you know, because you're buddies and all that?" Flash asked, coming up behind him.

"Yeah, I do know him, but I had never seen this before. I was just... excited for him." Peter said, trying not to sound too ridiculous. Flash rolled his eyes.

"Excuse me class! But it is time for lunch! We are going to the intern's cafeteria," Klarisa announced, and everyone headed to the elevator.

"Floor 7, thank you FRIDAY," Klarisa said, once everyone was in the elevator. It started moving and Flash took it upon himself to talk to Klarisa.

"So... if I am correct, only college students and above can get an internship, or job, here right?" Flash asked.

"You would be correct, though Peter here is the one exception," Klarisa responded. Flash looked very annoyed.

"Alright, quit it with the act. How much did he pay you?" Flash snapped, and the elevator doors opened.

"I'm not sure what you mean," Klarisa said, clearly puzzled. Peter stayed close, in case Flash got physical.

"I mean, how much did Pathetic Penis Parker pay you to pretend to know you? Or did he give you something else? Did he blackmail you? Did he pay you in-"

"Excuse me young man, but what did you just call Peter?"

Everyone looked and was shocked to see Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes coming over from one of the cafeteria tables.

"Uhm- Mr. Falcon! Mr. Winter Soldier! It's a pleasure-" Flash began, but Peter interrupted him.

"He isn't the Winter Soldier, he's Bucky Barnes," Peter said, but Flash ignored him.

"I am Flash Thompson. I have a 3.2 GPA and I'm on my school's Decathlon team, I believe I would be a great asset to your team here at Stark Industries," Flash said, clearly thinking he was making a good impression. Peter knew otherwise because Bucky and Sam were exchanging looks of anger and disbelief.

"Um, Uncle Bucky, Sam, he- um, we were just going to eat some food, he was just wishing you a good day, that's all!" Peter jumped in, seeing as they were not going to respond well.

"No I wasn't, I was just telling them how awesome I am and how shitty you are!" Flash retorted, and Peter pursed his lips very annoyed.

Flash was not making this any easier for himself.

"No, I don't think you were!" Peter exclaimed, and pulled Flash away from the two Avengers despite his struggling.

"What are you doing Penis! You just completely blew my opening for an internship! Was this your plan all along?" Flash yelled, very angry. Peter could tell he wanted to shove or push him but didn't because FRIDAY would go off.

"What was I doing? You just A: called Bucky Barnes the Winter Soldier, which is a part of his life he hates to remember and B: called me shitty, which I wouldn't mind if there weren't two Avengers in the room! They're going to kill you!" Peter said, trying as hard as he could to get it through Flash's thick skull that he was making a mistake.

"Like Hell they're gonna kill me, I'm not the one faking an internship! Now let me go or else," Flash threatened.

Peter gave up. He had tried to tell Flash as many times as he could, but he just refused to believe it. Anything that happens now is his fault, but he supposed he could try to defend him some more if the Avengers try to actually kill him.

Lunch finished without any killing, and Klarisa led the class to the training room where they were to be taught by the Avenger's trainers.

Peter didn't know what he'd expected. The Avenger's trainers would have been nice, but he was not, per se, surprised to see Steve, Natasha, Bucky, and Clint all in the room, sparing.

"I am so sorry class," Klarisa said, ushering them all out of the room, "it seems as if the Avengers are training at the moment. We can go tour more of the-"

Peter, in that split second, made his choice. He didn't really care if the class knew he knew all the Avengers. Clint, Sam, and Bucky had already spoiled that for him. He pushed past Klarisa and near the sparring mat, ignoring the orders to 'get back here' from Mr. Harrington.

"Hey guys, are you here to train us?" Peter called over the fighting.

The four Avengers stopped fighting and grinned at Peter.

"PETEY! IT'S BEEN FOREVER!" shouted Clint, jumping into his arms. Peter held him in his arms, then remembered he wasn't supposed to be able to carry a full-grown man and promptly dropped Clint.

"You saw me this morning. And during the tour," Peter pointed out, still ignoring the insistent calls of his teacher. He turned around and said, "Mr. Harrington, It's fine. They're here to train us."

There were looks of shock exchanged through the students and they walked over uneasily. Klarisa stood by the door, seeing as she wasn't needed for this part.

"Hello students of Midtown High, I am Steve Rogers or Captain America. These are my friends, Natasha Romanoff and Clint Barton, and this is my husband, Bucky Barnes. Today we will be teaching you all some simple defense moves in case you are ever attacked by someone," Steve introduced, and then called on Flash who had his hand up.

"Yeah, I'm Flash Thompson. I would like to inform you that Peter Parker has been claiming he has an internship here and during lunchtime, he prevented me from having a friendly talk with the Winter Soldier right there, he can vouch for me! I request you have him escorted out of the building."

Peter pinched the bridge of his nose. Flash was an utter idiot. Bucky was going to tell Steve that Flash had called him pathetic and Penis, and Natasha was going to murder him.

Sure enough, Peter saw Bucky scowl and whisper something into Steve's ear who frowned even deeper. Steve was already more than likely ticked off about Flash calling Bucky the Winter Soldier. Steve passed the message onto Nat and Clint and they both glared as well, though Clint glared harder and probably told the others how Flash had treated Peter earlier that day as well, so it was just the four of them having a huge tea-spilling party in front of the class.

Flash obviously thought this was good. He smirked self-satisfied about himself and crossed his arms, expecting to be praised when the Avengers turned their attention back on the class.

"Mr. Flash Thompson, young man, you will regret what you have done to Peter," Steve said in a low voice. Flash did not expect this, and looked around, shocked.

"Wha-what?" he asked, backing up. Peter came to his rescue.

"Guys, stop! Flash is a... friend of mine! We just like to um, rough-house and tease each other sometimes," Peter said very fast, arms outstretched to the Avengers. He felt Flash moving away from him from behind him.

"Peter, this boy has been calling you names and shoving you around, and you're defending him? Let us just rough him up a little," Clint said, staring daggers at Flash over Peter's shoulder.

"Yeah- no, I mean, no but just let him be," Peter said, forcing Natasha back.

"Baby Spider I can't let him get away with this-"

"Moma do it for me, let him go," Peter asked, using his puppy dog eyes. Nat stared back at him, but eventually let Peter win.

"Fine, but on one condition. You get to spar with him," Nat said, and Peter shook his head.

"Hell yeah, I'll do that! Not killing me in exchange for beating up Parker? He's just a nerd like he could ever beat me," Flash shouted, jumping onto the sparring mat. Flash had apparently learned nothing, but he was just about to.

Natasha lunged at him, tackling Flash to the ground. Peter had to pry her off of him, but Nat smirked. Oh come on, Peter thought. This was her plan the whole time, get me onto the sparring mat, get her off of Flash, then... then spar with me, and letting me win.

Natasha was smart, that was for sure. Peter couldn't believe it. Here he was, sparring with The Black Widow in front of his whole class, just to defend his bully. He landed a punch on Nat's stomach and pinned her on the ground, and Nat tapped out.

"Well done Baby," Nat said, and Peter helped her up.

--time skip: stucky vs stony--

When they were returning their passes, the shock of Peter beating Black Widow was still evident. Peter's classmates kept glancing at him in awe, some almost like they were afraid. Flash, of course, had to make everything worse.

"Parker, don't think this makes me believe you have an internship here. Just because you're cushy with some of the Avengers doesn't mean you know Tony Stark, much less work for him," Flash said, turning Peter around so they were face to face. Peter was about to say something back at him, but-

"Ah, there's my favorite intern," came the voice of Tony Stark. Flash spun around and watched, furious, as Tony Stark walked past him and straight to Peter, slinging an arm around him.

"Hi Mr. Stark," Peter mumbled, blushing at all the attention he was getting.

"Now how is it that everyone else is on a first name basis but I'm still Mr. Stark? How is that fair," Tony joked. "Now, Flash Thompson, am I correct?"

"Oh, so you've heard of me," Flash asked, brushing it off like he was recognized by billionaires daily, trying to seem cool.

"Yeah, from my colleagues, the Avengers. Is it true you've been bullying my intern over there? You do know he is practically my son, right," Tony asked, walking up to Flash and gesturing to Peter.

"I- um- I-" Flash stammered. Today was really not going his way, was it.

"You- you- you- yeah save it. Face it kid, Peter is smarter than you and he has an internship as my personal intern. Now I suggest getting out of my building unless you want an angry Iron Man after you," Tony said, then walked back to Peter, calling over his shoulder, "I'm taking Peter home for the rest of the day."

Peter didn't know what to say, so he didn't say anything. He thought this was going to be one of the worst days in his life, and it did suck, but it was also the day Flash would stop bullying him. He supposed it wasn't all that bad after all.

He just walked into the elevator with Tony and as they were heading up to the penthouse, Peter said, "that was really cool of you, Mr. Stark. Thanks."

"Don't thank me for something I shouldn't have had to do," he said back, then hopped out of the elevator. Peter watched as he started prepping for the nerf gun war, grateful he could have such an amazing father figure.
