When Peter went into school on a sunny Tuesday morning, he was expecting a lot of things.

BO in the boy's locker room? Yes.

Carrying his class and answering all of the math questions that the teacher asked? Normal day.

Ned talking about Star Wars? When didn't he?

His head feeling like it was splitting apart- what? No, that wasn't on the agenda. What? Let's ignore it for now.

He walked into the large building and got through most of his classes, and was heading to his last one. The teacher welcomed him as he walked in, then announced to the class that the nurse was doing the eye test things- but Peter wasn't too concerned. He always did fine.

His last class was English, and they were just typing out an essay. Nothing too difficult.

About halfway through it, however, Peter's head began to ache. He sighed, and thought about how much water he'd drank in the past day.

Not enough, clearly, if he was getting a headache.

He raised his hand for permission to get some water, and when he got back from the little adventure, he went back to typing.

Then, right as he hit the enter button to make another paragraph, the pain flared up again and he winced.

Ned didn't notice too much, but Peter got a weird look from MJ.

Not wanting her to worry, he said weakly, "My essay's pretty cringe."

She snorted and went back to hers, leaving Peter alone in his suffering.

Peter blinked to clear his vision as the pain grew, only it didn't work. He squinted. It got more blurry.

"What?" He muttered, then then out a little groan as the headache continued to advance.

"Peter? Are you alright?" His teacher asked, causing all of the attention to be directed to the boy who was struggling to keep a straight face.

"Yup!" He managed, smiling like the liar that he was.

He sighed and tried to get back to writing, then remembered that the nurse was doing the eye tests, and he nearly cried.

Not from the pain, although that was a big factor.

The kids had been filing out of the class in groups of two to go to the nurse's office for them, and it was almost Peter's turn.

He blinked again, frantically trying to see something, as his head continued to pound like someone had taken a bat with nails to it.

Nothing was working, he couldn't see, it was all just blurry blobs-

"Alright Peter, you can go now." Said the teacher, oblivious to his pain.

"Actually they're paused right now." Piped up one of the students who had just returned, and Peter gave out a sigh of relief. "Someone broke their leg in the gym and she needed to leave."

Peter felt sick to his stomach. Someone had broken their leg, and he was happy that he didn't need to do the stupid eye test. What kind of an awful person was he?

He settled back into his seat, and closed his eyes, since they were gritty and he couldn't bear to just stare out at the blurry shapes that were his classmates.

When class had ended, Ned started to gather his stuff to leave. Once he was all done, he glanced over to Peter's desk, only to notice that Peter hadn't moved.

"Peter, class is over. We can leave."

No answer.

MJ came over, too.

"What's he doing? Is he asleep?" She asked, poking Peter's shoulder.

Peter's eyes lazily opened, but he clearly had no intention of getting up.

"Peter? Are you alright?" Ned questioned. "Do you need me to call someone to get you?"

Peter squinted at Ned, but didn't say anything. He groaned softly, raising a hand to his head.

MJ frowned. "He usually goes to that sketchy black car, right? Should I get the driver?"

Concerned, Ned nodded, and MJ ran off.

The little spider kid slumped in his chair. "My head hurts." He pouted.

"I know, Peter." Consoled Ned, "MJ's getting help."

It was silent for a few moments, until MJ came back, with Happy Hogan trailing behind her. Happy looked a strange combination of worried and annoyed.

"Here he is." MJ said, pointing to Peter.

Happy just sighed, and went to pick up Peter. "Thanks, kids. I'll take him back to the tower and Tony'll have some protocol for this. Nothing to worry about."

"Where're we going?" Asked Peter, prying an eye open. "A mission? Do I have to change?"

Happy chuckled as he walked out the door. "The only thing you're changing into is pajamas, kiddo. I'll even have Steve make some soup for you. Alright?"

"Yeah." Mumbled Peter sleepily. "He makes the best soup."
