Peter never met heroes his age. Sure, there was a few, and a few family members that were his age, but none that actually went around like he did. It was all old people, saving the world and making the young ones stay home.

He didn't mind it, usually, but this time he did.

He was on a trip to Philadelphia with May and Happy, and it wasn't that great. He was in his suit and on patrol, but Pennsylvania must have very few crimes compared to New York because he was bored. There was no one to hang out with, besides May, but she was having a double date night with Happy and another couple. Ugh.

Peter needed a sidekick.

While amidst his thoughts, his wishes were kind of granted. Not really, but close enough.

A man, probably mid- to late-twenties, flew up to the building Peter was on. He had a white cape, which seemed like bad design, but props to him if he could keep it clean.

"Oh, hey, aren't you that Spider-man guy from New York? What're you doing here?" The man asked, still hovering in front of Peter.

"Yeah, that's me. I'm just on a little trip and figured I'd see what's up. I've seen some stuff on you, too, but I don't really watch TV that much," Peter thought for a moment. "Shaman?"

The guy shook his head. "No, but close." He flew above the building, "They call me Shazam-"

Lightning came down and struck the man, who fell down onto the roof. He groaned, but it sounded more high-pitched than it would have been a few minutes ago. 

"Oh, crap." In the place of the exotically-dressed man, lay a teenager in a few layers of clothes. "Oh, man, don't look, I've got a secret identity,"

Peter laughed and took of his mask. "It's no biggie," He held out a hand. "I'm Peter."

"Billy." The boy smiled hesitantly, getting up to take Peter's hand and shaking it. "...So, how's life as a teenage superhero?"

Peter exhaled heavily. "Kind of rough, to be honest. I'm busy a lot. And bullies, man, don't get me started."

Billy went and sat next to Peter on the edge of the building. "I know? Oh, by the way, my best friend totally geeks out over you."

"Well, I can say the same, funnily enough," Peter laughed. 

They sat in silence after that, occasionally breaking it and finding out how similar they were. Parents? Biological ones either dead or out of the picture, adopted and gained a cool new family. On the poor side, a need to be heroic so strong that it might get them killed...

The similarities were astounding.

"Hey, do you know Superman?" Peter asked after a while of no speaking.

Billy scrunched up his face. "Kinda. I mean, he did me a favor and ate lunch with me once, but that's about it. He thinks I have a day job, which I mean, school counts, right?"

Peter nodded, and turned to watch the Philadelphia skyline. "There's no crime here. Like, that's good, but I'm bored."

"I get it. Hey, wanna go get some food?" Billy asked.

After a yes from Peter, they climbed down from the building and went to find a restaurant or something. 

They got some food and chatted, before Peter's phone rang.

"Yeah?"

"Peter, can you come over to this address? Rosa and Cooper have got a few sons your age that we want you to meet!" May said, obviously excited.

"Yeah, sure. Be there in a few." He hung up and looked over to Billy. "Bye, I gotta go."

Billy nodded. "Me too. I kinda snuck out and need to get back."

They parted ways and Peter slowly found his way to the address that May had given him. When he walked up the driveway, the door was opened by Happy.

He was ushered in and Rosa went to get the boys. Billy walked down with another guy.

"Billy?" Peter asked.

"Peter?"

"You guys know each other already? Oh, how perfect!" Rosa said, clapping her hands.

They talked for a while, but the adults already had dinner during their double date so Peter, Billy, and the other boy (who Peter learned was Freddie) went up to a bedroom.

Peter was pretty happy when he saw a Spider-Man poster, not gonna lie.

school starts for me next week, so I AM SLOWING DOWN UPDATES. Not drastically, but I will be removing the Wednesday updates until further notice
