Chapter One: The first two tickets

Workers on scooters left the factory and went all over town putting up posters written by (Y/N). The next morning, everyone left their homes to read the posters on the powerline posts. Peter had to push through the crowd to have a read. It read: 'Dear people of the world I, (Y/N) Wonka, have decided to allow five children to visit my factory this year. These lucky five will be shown around personally by me and will learn all the secrets and the magic of my factory. Five golden tickets have been hidden underneath the ordinary wrapping paper of five ordinary Wonka bars. These five candy bars may be anywhere - in any shop, in any street, in any town, in any country in the world. In addition, one of these children shall receive a special prize beyond anything you could ever imagine. Good luck to all and Happy hunting!'

This announcement made the news all over the world. And everyone wanted to find the ticket and visit that wonderful factory. But people were doing anything to have that ticket. In Marrakesh, Morocco, people were trading whatever they had just to get a Wonka bar, and in Japan and New York, Wonka bars were quickly disappearing from the shelves leaving everything bare. When Peter told his family the news, Ben was excited and imagined what it would be like to open a bar of chocolate and find a golden ticket inside.

Peter loved the idea but he remembered that he only gets one bar a year for his birthday. Mary reminded him that his birthday was next week. Aunt May told him that he has just as much chance of getting a ticket as anybody. But Grandpa George spoke up saying that the only people who are going to get a ticket were the ones who can buy chocolate every day while Peter only gets one a year. So he has no chance of getting one. Aunt May kept his hopes up saying that everyone has a chance. But Grandpa George made a bet that the first person to find the first ticket would be fat, fat, fat. And right he was.

In Dusseldorf, Germany, the first Golden ticket was a boy named Ned Leeds. And he wasn't skinny at all. In fact, he had chocolate all over his face while interviewers were taking pictures and filming him. He explained how he found it. He was eating a Wonka bar when he tasted something, that is not chocolate or coconut or walnut, or peanut butter or nougat or butter brittle, or caramel, or sprinkles. So he looked and, he found the golden ticket. He held it up revealing a bite mark on the corner.

An interviewer asked how he intended to celebrate finding the ticket. Ned said that he would celebrate by eating more. He did just that, making a complete mess. Mrs. Leeds knew Ned would find the ticket because he eats so many bars a day that it was almost impossible for him not to find one. The Parker family turned on the TV to reveal Ned. Grandpa George knew he'd be right about him being a porker. But now that one ticket had been found, things will start to get crazy. Later that week, the second ticket was found in Buckinghamshire, England, by a girl named Morgan Stark.

Her father, Tony, began to explain how she found it to the news reporters. As soon as Morgan told him that she had to have one of the golden tickets, he started buying up all the Wonka bars he could lay his hands on. Thousands of them. Hundreds of thousands. He works in the nut business. So he said to his workers that, from now on they can stop shelling peanuts and start shelling the wrappers of these chocolate bars instead. Three days went by and they had no luck. Morgan got more and more upset each day. Tony just hated to see his little girl feeling unhappy like that. He vowed he would keep up the search until he could give her what she wanted. And finally, he found her a ticket.

"She's even worse than the fat boy," Grandpa George said

"I don't think that was really fair," Peter said, "She didn't find the ticket herself."

"Don't worry about it, Peter," Ben said, "That man spoils his daughter. And no good ever comes from spoiling a child like that."

Peter's parents then came running through the door looking rather excited.

"Peter, your Mum and I thought... maybe you wanna open your birthday present tonight," Richard said smiling

Mary gave Peter his present all wrapped up. Peter took off the wrapping to reveal a Whipple-Scrumptious Fudgemallow Delight. Peter hadn't had one of these yet. He keeps the rappers of all his chocolate bars since it's rare that he gets them. But he was hesitant. He asked if she should wait until morning to open it instead of tonight. But none of them could wait. They wanted to know if Peter found a golden ticket. So, Peter carefully took off the first half to reveal the tinfoil. Mary quickly reminded him not to be upset if he didn't find a ticket. At least he'll still have the chocolate. Peter slowly opened the tinfoil until he got a hold of the chocolate and ripped the rest off. But there was no ticket. Just the chocolate.

"Ah, well. That's that," Ben said

"We'll share it," Peter said

"Oh, no, Peter. Not your birthday present."

"It's my candy bar, and I'll do what I want with it."

So, he took off little bits for everyone to share. They all ate it slowly just to make it last longer.
