Everyone was talking about it, the Midtown high school students were just talking about it. The costume party organized by Flash Thompson to celebrate Halloween. Flash had invited the whole school, even the losers could be part of it.

Peter: No really, a party organized by Flash... without me. He said, grimacing.

Ned: Buddy, it's a costume party. A party where everyone will be dressed up as anything and everything. Honestly Peter, you should come. He said smiling.

Peter: I don't know. And then I don't have a disguise. He said, grimacing.

Ned: Comes in your Spider-Man costume. He said in a whisper.

Peter: Certainly not. He said, rolling his eyes.

Ned: It's Halloween, buddy. We're going to have a good laugh, you'll see. He said smiling.

Peter: No, I won't come. Sorry. He said, grimacing.

The two geeks then join Betty Brant, Ned's girlfriend, and Michelle Jones, a friend of Peter and Ned. When the two boys arrived, they could hear them talking about the party organized by Flash.

Ned: Are you going to go too? he asked, smiling.

Betty: Obviously. How not to go to the biggest party of the year. She said smiling.

Ned: I know one who doesn't go. He said, nudging Peter lightly.

Betty: What Peter, you're not serious? Aren't you going to Flash's party? Demand that she be surprised.

Peter: Yes. It's not a drama. And then I'll be better off at home than at this party. He said smiling.

Ned: You're missing something anyway. He said smiling.

Peter: Maybe. But it will be without me. He said, grimacing.

Ned: As you wish. He said sighing.

As he waited for his bus home, with music blaring, Peter jumped when someone tapped him on the shoulder. The young man turned around and faced MJ.

Pierre: MJ! Damn you scared me. He said laughing.

Michelle: Sorry, that wasn't my intention. She said, grimacing.

Peter: No worries. He said smiling.

Michelle: So it's true? Aren't you coming to Flash's party? Demand that she smile.

Peter: I don't really want to. I remind you that he mistreated me from elementary school until my first year of high school. He said, grimacing.

Michelle: Oh yes, I understand. It's a shame, we would have had a good laugh. She said smiling.

Peter: Why are you going there? Demand to surprise.

Michelle: Yes. Betty convinced me to go. And since I have nothing to do Friday evening, why not go to this costume party. She said smiling.

Peter: Have fun. And take care of yourself. He said smiling.

Michelle: Okay... She said disappointed.

Peter: Ha, there's my bus. See you tomorrow in class? he asked, smiling.

Parker then got on his bus to return home. Once home, he takes a shower. Once finished, he joins his aunt for dinner.

Today was the day. Flash's big costume party will take place tonight. All the high school students were looking forward to tonight, including Ned, Betty and Michelle. At the canteen the three teenagers talked about the evening.

Betty: What are you going to dress up as, MJ? she asked, smiling.

Michelle: No idea. Probably like Chucky's bride. And you Ned? What are you going to wear as a costume? she asked, smiling.

Ned: I'm going to dress up as Darkvador. He said smiling.

Michelle: Cool. She said smiling.

Betty: For me it will be Harley Queen. She said smiling.

Ned: Very beautiful Harley Queen. He said smiling.

Betty: Are you talking about me or Harley? She said laughing.

Ned: From you of course. He said laughing.

Betty: There's interest. She said laughing.

Michelle: It's a shame you're not coming, Peter. The four of us would have had a good laugh. She said, grimacing.

Peter: Yes, it's a shame. He said smiling.

The party was in full swing, several teenagers were dressed up in anything and everything. Flash had even decorated his house into a real haunted house.

Finally Peter had decided to come. He wanted to surprise his friends. Parker was dressed as Scream, a character he likes in the Scream films. The teenager sent a message to Ned, this message said to meet him at Flash's front door and not to say anything to MJ.

Peter: It took you a long time. I've been waiting for twenty minutes. He said, grimacing.

Ned: Sorry, with the crowd in the house it was impossible to get through. He said, grimacing.

Peter: You didn't tell MJ anything about me, I hope? he asked.

Ned: No mate. Your beautiful and sweet Michelle, is not aware of your presence here at this costume party. He said smiling.

Pete: Cool. Take me to her. He said smiling.

Ned: Okay. Let's go! He said smiling.

After entering the house and confronting the crowd, Ned took Peter to Michelle. The young woman was on one of the empty balconies, looking at the horizon, sad that Peter wasn't here at this party.

Peter, still dressed in his Scream costume, then walks towards Michelle. The latter sensing a presence behind her, turned around to face Peter.

Michelle: Find somewhere else to smoke or something. It's already busy here. She said sighing.

Peter: Nice suit. He said, taking on a different voice.

Michelle: Thank you. She said dryly.

Peter: Is everything okay? I think you're sad. he asked worriedly.

Michelle: The one I love doesn't know I feel anything for him. And what's more, he's not even at this party... I thought I'd confess everything to him this evening during this party and well, I was wrong. And that makes me sad... She said sadly.

Peter: Oh...and why didn't you tell him at school or something? he asked confused.

Michelle: It's stupid... when I see him I lose my temper. I can talk to him about anything and everything. But as for this subject... well I can't do it. She said, grimacing.

Peter: I understand. I like a girl too. I am in the same situation as you. He said, grimacing.

Michelle: I didn't know love was so complicated. She said laughing.

Pete: Yes. But honestly, don't put pressure on yourself. You will talk to him about it when you feel ready to talk to him about it. He said smiling.

Michelle: You're right. Same for you. She said smiling.

Pete: Yes. I'm madly in love with her, and have been since elementary school. He said smiling.

Michelle: I hope she is as in love as you are. She said laughing.

Peter: Well imagine she told me, not directly. He said laughing.

Michelle: Oh yes? she asked, laughing.

That's when Parker took off his mask. Michelle was in complete shock, to see Peter Parker here at this party and in front of her.

Pete: Yes. He said smiling.

The young woman will run and throw herself into the arms of the one she loves.

Michelle: You came. She said smiling.

Peter: As you can see yes. He said laughing.

Michelle: Why did you come? What made you change your mind? she asked, smiling.

Peter: I came for that. He said smiling.

It was then that the teenager brought his face closer to that of the young woman, in order to place his lips against Michelle's.
