Those eyes stung him, sleep called him. Michelle Jones worked on her math homework that she wanted to make as clean as possible for her CAF teacher.

Peter still hasn't come home, it was almost one o'clock in the morning. She figured he must be meeting with the new Avengers, or just stopping a tougher villain to capture.

But it was a lot of times that Parker came home very late, Michelle doesn't like her at all. Because between classes and their hero work as well as their work at the Daily Bugle, they no longer have a minute to themselves.

Now that the two lovebirds live together in their small studios, it was necessary that one of the two work to pay the rent which is extremely expensive.

His math homework was finally over. She then put her sheet in a plastic pouch so that her sheet would not be crumpled. She then walked over to her bed. She settled there under her warm blanket.

Michelle: As always. She said dryly.

Peter: What do you mean? he asked.

Michelle: Spider-Man is more important than me that's his huh Parker? She said dryly.

Peter: I'm afraid I don't understand Michelle... He said confused.

Michelle: Peter, how long have we had a good night together? How long has it been since we went to the movies or I don't know me bowling for example? How long have you slept with me this month? You are constantly absent Peter! She said very angry.

Peter understood his girlfriend's reaction. It's true that it's time if he was hardly ever at home. Spider-Man takes up most of his time every day...

Peter: I'm going to catch up with Michelle... tonight a good movie to make up for it, what do you say? You will even choose the film if you want, do you agree? he asked.

Michelle: Alright...

Peter: 6:30 p.m. in front of the cinema I will join you. He said smiling.

Michelle: Ok, I finish school at 4 p.m.!

Peter: I have a meeting with the new Avengers... Captain Marvel will introduce us to these new recruits.

Michelle: Don't forget that next week we have to pay the rent. So did you sell any photos to Mr Grumpy? she asked.

Peter laughed at the nickname MJ had given Jameson Peter's boss.

Peter: Not many...but I plan to make new ones to sell to Bugle.

Michelle: At the same time, if grumpy stopped paying you a pittance, it wouldn't be a problem every month.

Peter: What? No Jameson don't pay me a pittance would be in 1961 would enjoy that salary. He says laughing.

Michelle: Yes but it's 2027, it's not the money that's missing in this country.

Peter: Well I'm going to tonight!

Peter went to Avengers HQ to join Captain Marvel and the new recruits.

A few hours later Michelle and Betty Brant were both sitting in Professor Connors' science class.

Betty: So how's it going with Peter? she asked.

Michelle: Honestly? Wrong... Have this practically seen more. She said while writing notes on her sheet.

Betty: Spider-Man is ruining your life, I believe... She said observing her friend.

Michelle: Oh yeah... but hey, I can't ask him to hang up the suit because that's what it is. She said looking at the board.

Betty: Maybe you're not that compatible to be in a relationship.

Michelle: Meaning? she asked.

Betty: Peter is destined to be Spider-Man... while you want to be with him constantly like a normal couple, which I understand. Ultimately the distance will always be within your relationship. she explained.

Betty's words made Michelle think. Maybe Betty was right, maybe their relationship won't get them anywhere...

Michelle: Anyway, at 6:30 p.m., we'll have a movie and we'll be able to spend an evening together. She said smiling.

Betty: Cool. She said smiling.

Classes were now over for Michelle. She then took the metro to go home to drop off her school business.

Arrived at the apartment she put her school bag there, she ate a little something and headed for the cinema which was a good hour away.

The weather was very gray, a sign that the rain was soon to appear. Michelle hadn't expected that, she only wore a jacket because today was the hottest day of June for the moment.

Jones was finally in front of the cinema, she was looking to see if by any chance Peter hadn't already arrived before her. Parker hadn't arrived yet... so in order to wait MJ put on headphones to listen to that music.

Michelle waited again and again... she looked at the time on the screen of her phone which displayed 6:55 p.m. At first she thought that he would be late and that he would go watch the other session which takes place at 7:20 p.m. But the more time passed the more Michelle waited.

She tried to reach her boyfriend who was still on answering machine... MJ was about to break down. So she decided to go home. Rain and thunder fell on New York.

Michelle walking home, she cried her tears mingling with the rain that fell on her face. Anger, betrayal, disappointment... that's what MJ felt in that moment.

After an hour of walking in the rain Michelle finally arrived home. She went to the bathroom to dry her hair.

Once her hair was almost dry, she went to her room, grabbed her suitcase and put on all her clothes in it.

Peter came into the bedroom through the window. His Spider-Man suit was drenched which made his muscles stand out even more. He saw his girlfriend packing those bags... which shocked him. He then removed his mask ready to face MJ.

Peter: MJ but what are you doing? he asked.

Michelle: Can't you see? She said dryly.

Peter: Why did you pack up? he asked approaching her.

Michelle: Did you forget anything today? she asked dryly.

Peter: No...not that I know of.

Michelle: 6:30, cinema doesn't remind you of anything Parker? She said dryly.

Peter: Our movie night. He said slapping his forehead.

Michelle: I've been away for many months Peter, I know Spider-Man is important to you, but sometimes heroes deserve a little break for a day or even a week. But no, you're constantly absent... I can't bear all that Peter anymore. She said with tears in her eyes.

Peter then understood where Michelle was coming from. Tears started to well up on Parker's face.

Peter: Michelle please don't do this... He said crying.

Michelle: It's over Peter...you went way too far this time. She said with tears in her eyes.

Peter: But have found little solution...

Michelle: To hurt us again and again... no Peter my decision is made. I want a man to be there for me...a man who will take care of me for the past few months you have been totally absent i spent almost but nights alone in our big bed. I don't have much more Peter. Yes I love you is that it will take me time to forget you... She said kissing her head.

Peter: Michelle...

Michelle: We're not compatible... Peter. She said heart breaking.

Michelle then took these suitcases and headed for the exit. Peter followed her to the door. The tears of the vigilante always flowed, he blames himself for not having been more present for the one he loves...

Peter: Michelle stay... He said with a lump in his throat.

Michelle: Goodbye Peter...

She walked over to him and placed a kiss on his cheek. At the touch of the lips on his skin Peter shivered and closed his eyes. He heard the door open and close again.

Parker cried more and more... he was now alone. Michelle left, ending their relationship.
