For 3 months without telling anyone, Peter Parker had left New York. Following the death of his mentor, Tony Stark. The young hero needed to be alone, far from this city that reminded him too much of Iron Man.

He hadn't given any news to his aunt May who was very worried about him... nor to his best friend Ned and his girlfriend Michelle Jones. Spider-Man's aunt hardly slept since her nephew ran away. Happy Hogan, Tony Stark's best friend watched over her. He even fell in love with it...

In 3 months a lot had happened since the sudden departure of Spider-Man. Ned is now in a relationship with Betty Brant, while MJ was paired with the famous high school basketball player, Brad Davis. Michelle still loves Peter, but she was too mad at him to stay in a relationship with him.

Today was back to school, Peter had been home for two days now. The latter was very affected by the death of Stark... he dreaded the reaction of MJ, when she saw him in high school. Once in front of the school he saw in the distance Ned, Betty and MJ watching him. He felt a huge lump in his stomach when his gaze met Jones's.

Peter: MJ! MJ is waiting for me! He said running towards her.

Michelle: Go away I don't want to see you! She said dryly.

Peter: At least let me explain. Please... He said sadly.

Peter: MJ... He said sadly.

Peter: No it's not true... He said with tears in his eyes.

Michelle: Of course it is. All you care about is running after me, when you see me drifting away from you. But now it's over Peter... you can run all you want you won't get me anymore. I cried and suffered a lot after you left...luckily Brad was there for me. But know that now not a single tear will fall for you. She said sadly.

Peter: MJ... He said with tears in his eyes.

Michelle: No Peter. It's over... you hurt me too much. Already last year with Liz, and there your sudden departure and then your return as if nothing had happened. I gave too much... now I give up. She said sadly.

Peter: I didn't mean to hurt you, I assure you I didn't. He said sadly.
