It's been going on for several years now. Michelle was made fun of by her classmates, on how she dressed or on her behavior. She had a different outlook on life than other people.

For several years she suffered the mockery of two girls in particular... Liz Toomes and Betty Brant. Two popular girls in Midtown High School. From their first meetings in college, the two teenagers had already targeted poor MJ.

At first they were critical of Jones' physique. Then it was the way she dressed, which was not far from a boy's style. After that it was the way Michelle saw life around her...the two young women had no pity for Michelle Jones.

Once in middle school during recess, Liz Toomes violently hit MJ because she believed Jones had stolen her lipstick. Michelle had proclaimed her innocence, but Toomes didn't want to hear it. Liz then put a violent punch in the face of MJ... which earned him a huge black eye.

The parents of the young woman immediately filed a complaint against Liz... and in particular asked for her dismissal with immediate effect from the college. But the police had too many problems to deal with, when in college they only expelled Toomes for three days.

Michelle always has a lump in her stomach when it comes to going to school. The young woman feels safe when she is the one she... once Liz and Betty beat up MJ in an alley, while she was out buying eggs at the request of her mother.

The parents of the young woman immediately lodged a complaint against Liz... and in particular asked for her dismissal with immediate effect from the college. But the police had too many problems to deal with, when in college they only expelled Toomes for three days.

When the young woman returned home that day, she cried all the tears in her body. Her mother was in shock when she saw her daughter's face full of bruises and blood.

MJ had tried to end those days... but unfortunately for her his suicide failed. The young woman spent two weeks non-stop, morning and evening in a psychologist's office... only to end up not feeling relieved of all the weight she had inside her.

In high school, a new student arrived. It was Peter Parker, the nephew of May and Ben Parker. A rather cute boy in the eyes of all the girls in high school. Even Jones had fallen under his spell. During recess, Michelle was alone in a corner reading a book. Suddenly Liz and Betty arrived to annoy the young woman.

Liz: But what else are you reading? She said snatching the book from Jones' hands.

Michelle: Give me back my book Liz...I just bought it... She said trying to get her book back.

Liz: The rights of women in our society. Do you have any other seriously interesting book? She said rolling her eyes.

Betty: She's really weird that girl. She said laughing.

Michelle: Come on give me back my book Liz... please. She said gently.

It was then that Peter Parker was passing by, he saw Michelle in the distance being harassed by Liz Toomes and Betty Brant. Parker made the decision to come to MJ's aid.

Liz: That's what I make of your book. She said dryly.

Suddenly the young woman tore out the pages of Michelle's book one by one. Jones was stunned by Toomes' act. Liz tossed the book to the floor and left with her best friend Betty.

Michelle was very sad. She who had just bought this book a few days before... it was then that Peter arrived on the spot, he bent down and recovered the book in very poor condition from MJ. He then reads the cover of the book...

Peter: Women's rights in our society. Not a bad subject to read. He said giving the book back to MJ.

Michelle: Yeah...end when I could read. Which will no longer be the case now. She said pointing to the torn pages.

Peter: I saw what happened. It's really ugly what they did to you. He said grimacing.

Michelle: I'm used to it. I have endured this circus for years... even if time passes. The suffering does not pass... it still hurts. She said grimacing.

Peter: I'm sorry... He said sadly.

Michelle: You had nothing to do with it. No need to apologise. She said smiling.

Parker just smiled. A long silence settled between the two teenagers, but Peter had a question running through his head, since MJ told him that she had been going through this for several years.

Peter: I have a question...why are they doing this to you? he asked sadly.

Michelle: Because he judges me on my outlook on life. He judges me on the way I dress. And a whole bunch of stuff... basically to them I'm the weirdest girl on earth. Especially for it's two girls there. Liz Toomes and Betty Brant, the two most popular girls in Midtown. she explained.

Peter: I see. Can I ask you a little favor? He said grimacing.

Michelle: Uh...yes tell me. She said confused.

Peter: Could you give me your address? he said nervously.

Michelle: Why would I give you my address? She said laughing.

Peter: You'll see. He said smiling.

Michelle: Ok. She said laughing.

The young woman then took out a notebook and tore out a sheet. She then wrote down his address and gave it to Peter. Parker thanked her and left the place, leaving a very confused Michelle.

Since that day Peter and MJ didn't speak any more words. The school holidays had finally arrived. Michelle was in her bedroom staring out the window at the falling rain.

It's parents weren't there, the two were working today. MJ therefore found herself alone at home. Suddenly the young woman heard the doorbell ring... she took the direction of the door at her house to open it to the person who rang. When Jones opened it she saw a smiling delivery man standing in front of her.

Delivery man: Hello, Michelle Jones? he asked reading the order form.

Michelle: Yes. Yes it's me. She said confused.

Delivery man: This is for you. He said giving her a card.

Michelle: But I didn't order anything. She said confused.

Delivery man: I'm just doing my job, I'm giving you your package which is in your name. Good day. He said smiling before leaving.

Michelle: Good day. She said before closing the door.

She then headed for her room. Once in it, MJ put the package there on his bed. Intrigued by this package, the latter hastened to discover what is in this box.

Michelle opened the package all intriguing to find out what was inside. Once opened she fell on an envelope, where her first name was written. Then she found a book there. But not just any. The book that Liz tore for him a few days before...

The young woman was happy to have this book in her hands. She laid it on her bed, and took the envelope. She opened the latter, a piece of paper hiding inside. She unfolded the sheet and began to read what was written on the paper.

Michelle: Hi, Michelle. Here is a little gift that will make you happy. I know you would have liked to read, the one you bought not so long ago. But unfortunately two very mean people tore it to you. Never let anyone judge you. You are what you are, don't let anyone tell you who you should be. At the slightest problem, come see me. I will be there to listen to you and advise you. That's what friends do. I can't wait to get to know you after the holidays. Have a good holiday see you soon Michelle. Peter Parker.

The teenager was very surprised. So much for he had asked her for her address, she said. Today MJ could finally count on a friend. The only thing she had... she, too, was eager to get to know Peter Parker. For the first time in her life... Michelle Jones couldn't wait to go to high school without fear. What now she knows someone will be there for her in case of trouble. She knows Peter Parker will be there for her now.
