Since the age of six he had been madly in love with her. Ever since he saw her in front of his house, jumping rope. Today they are now seventeen years old. They go to the same high school, they talk about it from time to time, but nothing more.

Peter wanted to confess his feelings to her. But he doesn't know if it's a good idea. For advice, he asked his mentor Tony Stark aka Iron Man, Earth's Greatest Hero.

Peter: I don't know what to do Mr. Stark... He said grimacing.

Tony: Look Peter. I would be you, I would forbid myself this relationship. He said grimacing.

Peter: Why? he asked confused.

Tony: Because your enemies can go after her. Wouldn't you like something to happen to May or that girl? he asked.

Peter: No. Of course not. He said grimacing.

Tony: Hold her little one. A hero is vulnerable when the people he loves are attacked. He explained with a smile.

Peter: Alright. He said smiling.

A few weeks after visiting Mr. Stark. Peter watched Michelle Jones drinking coffee from a distance. He then remembers Tony's words... but Parker didn't care. He took his courage in both hands and then joined Michelle.

Peter: Hi MJ. He said smiling.

Michelle: Hey, loser! How are you ? She asked smiling.

Peter: Fine. I'm just passing by... He said smiling.

Michelle: Oh yes? She asked smiling.

Peter: Yes, I'm looking for a small job. Just to help my aunt financially. He said smiling.

Michelle: Oh cool. How is May? she asked.

Peter: She is slowly recovering from my uncle's death. He said grimacing.

Michelle: I see... She said sadly.

Suddenly the rain appeared on New York. The thunder was also beginning to make itself heard...

Michelle: Well I have to go. To one of these loser days. She said smiling.

Peter: Yes. He said smiling.

MJ then gave him a last smile and left the place. Peter kept looking at her... when suddenly a gang of men followed her. Parker had a bad feeling, so he decided to follow Jones, but in another way.

MJ saw that she was being followed... so she decided to move forward as quickly as possible. But the gang of delinquents who were following her surrounded her. Parker on the roof of a building overlooking the alley, wasted no time putting on his Spider-Man costume.

Michelle: Leave me! she cried, scared to death.

Offenders: Come on lady, take your clothes off. If you don't, you'll soon regret it. He said taking out a knife.

Michelle: I would never do that! she cried dryly.

Offenders: So I'm going to do it myself. He said smiling sadistically.

Michelle: No! she cried, scared to death.

It was then that Spider-Man appeared and neutralized the attackers. MJ was completely traumatized...

Spider-Man: MJ how are you? he asked worried.

Michelle: I... I don't know. She said still in shock.

Spider-Man: MJ, look at me. Take a deep breath and calm down. He said calmly.

The young woman did what the superhero had told her to do. After the Green Goblin's attack on Time Square, Spider-Man had saved Michelle from falling to her death.

Spider-Man: Feeling better? he asked calmly.

Michelle: Yes... thank you. She said smiling shyly.

Spider-Man: Lucky I was around. He says laughing.

Michelle: Yes. She said laughing.

Several weeks have passed since MJ's attack... the Green Goblin has discovered the true identity of Spider-Man. He spied on Peter for several days, the villain found Peter hanging around Michelle Jones. It was a way to lure the spider into a trap.

Norman Osborn's alter ego, captured MJ. Aware of this, Spidey went as quickly as possible to where the villain was holding Michelle.

Green Goblin: Today you will know what pain, the spider, knows. You will see how a hero is rewarded. He said dryly.

Spider-Man: No Jester! Do not do that. He said scared to death.

Green Goblin: She's going to lose her life because of you! He said smiling.

MJ was totally scared to death. The Green Goblin was holding her by the throat...she was barely able to breathe.

It was then that the villain threw the young woman into the void. The spider-man runs to catch up to her but is stopped by the green jester.

Peter heard Michelle's cries go away from him... the jester hit the hero several times. The latter took a hell of a beating by his opponent.

Green Goblin: She was there because of you. Maybe it was me who got hit. But you killed her. She died because of you, the spider. MJ died because of your naivety. He said strangling the young man.

The hero freed himself from his opponent's grip and jumped into the void. He then dived into the river... he swam as deep as possible in order to quickly find MJ.

After a few seconds of swimming with all my might, Spider-Man found the young woman. He then took Michelle came to the surface...

But unfortunately it was too late... Peter held MJ's lifeless body in his arms. The teenager was crying hot tears, under the laughter of the green jester who left the place.

Three days later, Michelle's funeral took place. All of Jones' family were present. Peter was there too... he was completely devastated.

Later that day, Parker stood by the grave of the one he loved. He stared at the tombstone, remembering the first time he had seen Jones. Tony Stark arrived and came to stand beside Peter.

Peter: I'm solely responsible... He said still staring at the tombstone.

Tony: It's true. The little one didn't deserve to die so young. I warned you kid... you didn't listen. Now you will have to pay the consequences. It will eat you up all your life... you will have to live with it unfortunately. He said in a neutral voice.

Peter: I should have listened...but I love him so much. I just wanted to be with her... and he used that. He tore me down... he won. He took the woman I love from me. He said with tears in his eyes.

Tony: Take some vacation Peter. I take care of Osborn. And it's non-negotiable. He said putting a hand on her shoulder.

Peter: Alright... He said nodding his head.

After Tony Stark left, the young teenager still remained at MJ's grave. Night began to fall... the wind blew very hard. The dead leaves of the trees washed up on Michelle's grave. Parker then removed the many leaves...

Peter: Forgive me MJ... He said sadly.
