The hot sun, it was almost 40 degrees in New York. Summer MJ adored this season, barbecues... the swimming pool or even the beach. Summer is the only season when you see almost nothing but smiles on people's faces.

Peter and Michelle had a house, with a garden. They had never barbecued before... which was to be expected, since the couple had just moved in.

Everything was gathered today to make a barbecue evening! The sun, the heat... everything was there.

Michelle: Said Peter... wouldn't you like to have a barbecue party tonight? She asked smiling.

Peter: It's very hot MJ... I think we should stay in the shade as much as possible. He said smiling.

Michelle: Come on please...I love barbecues. Every summer my father made a big one, during a big family reunion. She said with puppy dog ​​eyes.

Peter: But a barbecue for two sucks... be careful, I'm not saying what to do, a barbecue with you only sucks. It's just that it would be nice to have a few people with us. He said smiling.

Michelle: Let's invite, May and Happy. She said smiling.

Peter: Ned and Betty can come too. He said smiling. He said smiling.

Michelle: Alright. You take care of the invitations. As for me, I take care of the shopping. She said kissing her boyfriend's cheek.

Peter: You don't want me to come with you? he asked.

MJ then took his car and took the direction of the supermarket. She was very happy to make this first barbecue in their new house. She hopes that this evening will be a good one.

After a good hour of shopping, Michelle headed home. When they got home, May and Happy were already there.

Michelle: Hello May! Hello Happy! She said smiling.

Happy: Hi Michelle. He said smiling.

May: Hey! How are you darling? She asked smiling.

Michelle: Yes, Peter... you can help me put the groceries away. She asked smiling.

Peter: Yes! He said joining her in the kitchen.

Ned and Betty arrived a few minutes later. The temperature had dropped slightly, but it was still very hot...

Michelle: I can handle it you know. She said looking at Peter busy cooking the meat.

Peter: MJ, you have the barbecue pro in front of you. So I advise you to join our guests, and enjoy their companies. He said smiling proudly.

Michelle: You're not overdoing it, are you? she asked laughing.

Peter: Absolutely not! He said smiling proudly.

Michelle then let Peter take care of the barbecue, she sat at the table with the guests.
She saw smiles on the faces of Ned, Betty, May and Happy. She loves seeing those she loves happy.

Betty: So MJ, Peter and you have other plans? She asked smiling.

Michelle: At the moment no. Have this focus more on our work. She said smiling.

Happy: Hey you're absolutely right. He said smiling.

May: I agree with the man I love. She said smiling.

Ned: Being a young professor at Harvard, Peter did really well. He said impressed with his best friend.

May: He worked very hard to get where he is. She said smiling proudly.

Ned: Yes. He said smiling.

Peter: Holy shit! He said after burning himself with the barbecue.

Everyone quietly burst into laughter. As Peter blew on his hand, to cool his burn.

Michelle: The king of barbecue huh, my eye yeah. She said whispering while laughing.

Happy: He doesn't even know what to cook an egg. He said laughing while whispering.

Michelle: Peter, are you okay? she asked.

Peter: Yes, yes it will be ready in a few seconds. He said wincing in pain.

Indeed, a few seconds later Peter arrived with the grilled meat fresh out of the barbecue grill.

Michelle: So the king of barbecue, not too bad? She said mockingly.

Peter: I didn't even have pain. He said smiling.

Michelle: Yes of course. She said laughing.

Peter: Yes. Enjoy your meal everybody ! He said smiling.

Michelle: Wait! I would simply like to tell you that I am very happy to have you here today. It's our first barbecue in this new house, and I'm very happy to do it with you, in beautiful weather and in a superb atmosphere. Thank you and bon appetit. She said smiling.

Everyone cried bon appétit, MJ and Peter were very happy with this evening. An evening that will remain etched in their memories.
