Nevermind what we have endured,
For the dawn brings with it a new beginning.
Now, in this golden light we stand,
Refreshed and shining and renewed.

Last night was terrifying,
The horrors were unspeakable,
But we fought through valiantly,
Warriors we became, there's no denying.

Through the dark woods we battled our way,
Slicing and slaying as we walked.
Making it through the path,
Wending around the piling casualties,
Whispering prayers for those who cannot a prayer say.

Finally we reached a clearing in between the trees,
Orange and gold light filtering through the green,
Covered in our marks of victory,
We bask in the morning we have achieved.
Closing our eyes, here we stand enjoying the feel an ice cold breeze.
