I know I say it all the time when I end a story, but I seriously can't believe we've reached the end 😭

I really didn't ever think I would write a HUNGER GAMES fic, but the COVID-19 quarantine really did something to us all, huh lmao. At the beginning of quarantine, I binge-watched all the movies and despite getting a sliver of an idea for a story, I was like, NOPE WE ARE NOT WRITING A FINNICK FIC. But theeeen the pandemic hit and I decided that I now had too much free time on my hands so I should just expand on my idea and write a Finnick fanfiction 🤣 And that's exactly what I did!

This story really helped to keep me motivated during one of the most depressing moments of my life. It's a little embarrassing lmao, but it's the truth. I really dove headfirst into the story and these characters, and it's one of the first stories I've been extremely proud of in a long time. My main goals in this story were to further explain the torture and trauma these Victors face (because I think it wasn't fully explained, except during Finnick's propo in MOCKINGJAY), and to write a slowburn full of delicious tension and thought-out romance 🥳 And tbfh I think I succeeded in it??? 😳 I'm just really proud of this story and the development all the characters went through, and I hope you all enjoyed it too!

Finally, I want to give a shout-out to all the readers. Not only those who've been here since the beginning, but new ones too! Anyone who took the chance to read this little story — THANK YOU! I feel so lucky to have gained such a supportive amount of readers for this fic.
