the tree and the green leaf
I was a green shallow leaf shivering in the cold,
You were a rigid, hard tree I cling on;
Through days, talking to you was gold,
Colorful memories; daylight we set upon
as you were serving as my mold
I was a green shallow leaf shivering in the cold,
Glowing with health,
Every passing day, we were told
that the day lasts with stealth
and everything was bold.
I was a green shallow leaf shivering in the cold,
Bound by the winds that blew drastically;
Bound by the thunder that hides in the clouds,
As your grasp onto me flees,
Your fake smile and tough expression shrouded.
I was a green shallow leaf shivering in the cold,
Gravitated to the ground,
As my heart and brain molds,
My mouth not uttering a sound;
My pigments breaking from the fall.
I was a green shallow leaf shivering in the cold,
From this angle, I saw
How you talk to the others without a fold
About how the days were; its beauty and its flaw
Until I fell to my death and suffered shock.
I was a green shallow leaf shivering in the cold
And you were strong and rigid;
As your fate tied to the crowd,
and mine tied to yours and my death, so frigid;
my eyes faded to oblivion as yours kept everyone loud.
