You were a cloud,
From wisps of happiness
That attracted crowds
That wanted ecstacy and rest.

You grew into my heart;
A haven and green pasture
And material for my art,
Vapor that you created, so demure.

You let loose a drizzle,
People dancing and laughing,
Your smile as you watch them, beautiful.
I smiled, your warmth was worth cuddling.

You grew gray and shady
Covering your skies
With clouds that were thick and flaky;
The people kept dancing, believing the lies.

I stopped,
"Why are you sad?"
"Keep dancing! I can cope!"
What happened that was bad?

You are the sky
And I am a speck of flesh,
Gravitated by this land and these lies
That one day, you'll be new and fresh.

I painted the memory I had with you
When you were clear and happy
But vastly, you grew,
Opaque to me and cloudy.

Your smile tainted my canvas,
Don't you falter from the fray,
For I am here and your friends, so vast,
And you will be a rainbow; everything will be OKAY.
