Hell
The car stopped outside of the house I hated. As I climbed out of the car, I kept my eyes down, and followed the person inside and to the office where the cage I was once in, sat.
"Jane." At the sound of his voice, my body tensed. "It's nice to see you again." I didn't reply. "As promised, Charlotte is being taken back as we speak but can still be killed, should you disobey. Now turn." He commanded. I did as told, and forced myself to turn. Imagining myself as a wolf was hard since I hadn't ever turned willingly. However, I was able to do it. I sensed that it was just Nicklaus and I in the room now. He was coming closer to me from around his desk. I flinched as he stroked me, but didn't move from the spot. I felt a cold sensation on my neck that was instantly replaced by burning, to which I whimpered, but then it stopped. It was another collar. "This collar is made of silver. However, it is enchanted like the last. It cannot be broken this time. This one gives me control over you. I can force you to turn and control what you feel. I can make you feel pain or pleasure, it is of my choosing." I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Did he really have the power to make me do all that? He walked to the cage, opening the door. "Enter." I kept my head low, and slowly walked over to it. Hesitantly, I crawled in, curling into a ball as he shut and locked it. "It seems that you are behaving now. I'm curious as to if it was me hurting you, or me hurting your loved ones." Nicklaus walked back to his seat, and continued his work, as I laid there.
It was painfully quiet and I needed to run. My legs were cramping up. The sound of a ticking clock was the only thing heard. I watched the hours pass, as I began to move around trying to get comfortable in the cramped space. Finally, Nicklaus looked up from his work, and over at me. He reached into one of the draws, pulling out a chain. "Perhaps it's time to walk you." He stood up, walking to the cage door and opening it. I crawled out slowly and waited for orders. After attaching the chain to to collar, he pulled me along, going out the back door and into the forest. I started walking ahead slightly, desperate to run, until the chain was pulled harshly, and the collar burn slightly. I whimpered, slowing down to walk by his side.
After an hour or so of walking through the forest, we went back into the house. However, instead of going into the office, we went up the stairs and into his bedroom. He detached the chain, allowing me some freedom. "Turn". He instructed. I did as told. I stood there, naked, in the room of my psycho mate. "Lay on the bed." My heart stopped. No. I couldn't. A wave of pain rippled throughout my body, starting from my neck. He dragged me over, shoving me onto the cold sheets. Nicklaus climbed on top. I was frozen in fear, as tears worked their way to the surface. I'd chosen this fate. I'd had my chance of freedom. I needed to accept the path before me. We don't always like what life throws at us, but we can't change it. I wasn't going to risk Charlotte's life. I knew this was my fate. There was no point in fighting. He would win. I wiped my eyes, getting rid of the unshed tears as I made eye contact with Nicklaus. He looks confused for a second before dryly chuckling and becoming serious again.
"I think that's enough excitement for tonight." He spoke, getting off from above me, to sit next to me. He pulled the blankets over me, before getting up, and going to the wardrobe. I looked away as he changed and blinked as the lights went out. The bed dipped down beside me, as strong arms wrapped around me. I was pulled into his strong chest, tingles of pleasure shooting through me wherever our skin was touching. The mate bond. It didn't stop me from tensing up, and I felt his chest vibrate as he laughed at how uncomfortable I felt. His breath fanned against the back of my neck, as he's breathing evened out, leaving me staring into darkness, questioning my life.
I don't know if I had zoned out or fallen asleep, but I awoke to see light from the rising sun slowly start to illuminate the room. My stomach hurt from lack of food, my eyes from the lack of sleep, and my body sore, assuming from turning and being caged. I let out a sigh, still trapped in the arms of Nicklaus. I was tired of being tense, but I couldn't relax. I missed my life. My parents, my uncle and aunt, my school friends. Everything had been taken from me. I didn't realize I was crying until I tasted a saltiness on my lips. As I wiped my tears once again, an idea came to mind. I closed my eyes, focusing on Jon.
"Jon?"
"Jane! How are you able to link me?! Nicklaus blocked our links!" Jon's voice sounded surprised.
"I don't know. He's asleep. Maybe that's why? I'm sorry. I'm so so sorry for everything. Is Charlotte there? Is she okay?!" I rushed out.
"It isn't your fault. She's here. She's alive thanks to you. You saved h-" Jon's voice cut out and I felt pain on my waist. Nicklaus' grip on my waist got tighter, as his breathing picked up. He was awake.
"What do you think you're doing?" He hissed, through clenched teeth.
"I-I-I-" I stuttered, being cut off by burning around my neck. My mouth opened as if I was screaming out in pain, but I heard nothing. My hands flew to my neck, clawing at the silver collar, burning my fingertips. "I'm sorry!" I cried, arching my back as the pain continued. I felt his eyes on me as the pain calmed down, leaving me feeling weak, and panting as I tried to recover my breath. My eyes stayed closed, preventing tears from falling. I felt his hand stroking my hair, as I became tense, my breath getting caught in my throat.
