"The two of you will travel to the Kingdom of Longing and visit the queen mother on my behalf," Thanatos spoke in a firm and clear tone. Her dark gray eyes glanced at her workers with a sharpness that could cut the sea and shatter the sky. The distinctive flickers of scattered Gold, White, Ocean Blue, and Light Green within Thanatos' eyes illuminated as she observed the two who sat across from her in her office. Their body language was calm and steady as she gave them what their next project would be. It would be dangerous if they made a wrong move, and they knew well of this consequence. "This mission includes assessing the kingdom and its people if they are an ally of the Eternal Order but under the impression of creating a partnership not to draw suspensions." She counted in further detail.
There were far too many kingdoms and realms correspondingly involved with the likes of the vile group that was the Eternal Order. A list has already been long since created of who is and isn't involved. It needed to be further added before Thanatos could make her move against the group. It was always better to have an idea than going ahead blind that her enemy may have more allies and resources than she would assume without adequately considering. "You will report back what you perceive may be out of the ordinary or what can confirm the rumors."
The dark-skinned woman who sat beside a melanin-skinned man processed Thanatos' words with a mindful expression upon her youth face. "I understand the risk of this mission. We cannot underestimate this kingdom when they are unknown of how they may side with." She remarked that her voice was light and soft, almost angelic in a melody tune, but an apparent edge of harshness was clear in her voice. Years of battle experience had taught her enemies could easily disguise themselves to be your friends and allies when in reality, they prayed upon your downfall. Enemies looked at every corner and until proven otherwise, no one could be trusted.
The Entity of Death hummed, her intertwined fingers remaining gracefully placed on her desk, allowing others to see the shine of jewels across her fingers and bracelet. Predominantly, her oathed sacred ring was given by her beloved husband before his passing. "Yes, Nomiki, you are correct. This will be no easy task." She glanced at the two briefly. "You are putting your lives on the line stepping into this Kingdom's territory, and I want you to understand before you agree." Despite the two having previously agreed to handle these categories of missions, Thanatos persisted in being honest and giving choices if they wanted to proceed or not as they already did plenty of work as Angels of Death.
"Thank you for giving us the choice but we want to take on this mission. It's another kingdom to consider." Denarius spoke up this time, his voice was gravelly and deep but was a pleasant and calm voice. "When are we expected to be there?" This time he questioned, his back straight as he crossed his arms over his striped red and white shirt.
Thanatos cleared her voice. "You will be expected there before the end of next week but the journey is long and gruesome so I would recommend heading there by the weekend to get a better start." She recommended it firmly. It was well known that the Kingdom of Longing was at least a good six universes away from where they were currently and traveling through those other universes would not be a walk in the park.
Nomiki and Denarius glanced at each other in understanding. "We will be making preparations for the journey. Will that be all, or was that it?" Denarius asked curiously; he was growing restless the longer he had to sit down.
"That was all I wanted to discuss for today. You are dismissed." With Thanatos' words, the two stood from their chairs and made their way out of Thanatos' office. Thanatos let out a small puff of air before snapping her fingers, and two piles of paperwork she needed to do appeared upon her desk. Some things just required her to sign over that needed her approval while others she needed to look over affairs dealing with the underworld and file some papers with the reapers. It was a nuisance but needed to be done before she could give her focus to her more pressing projects.
She hummed to herself in a soft melody, pushing her black and pale lavender purple hair behind her shoulders as she signed over her signature and moved to the next piece. Her eyes remained focused as they shifted sharply to the next piece of paperwork that needed her attention. It was close to being Lunch time soon and she felt she wanted a break before further work to be done.
After an hour or so of paperwork, she heard a series of unsuspicious small knocking noises against the door of her office that made her smile. She had a good enough idea of who they belonged to. "Momma, are you finished with your meeting?" The whiney and equally impatient voice of her daughter rang on the other side of the door and made Thanatos snort in mirth.
There was a sound of scuffling behind the door, telling Thanatos there was more than one of her children wanting to enter. "Yes, my darlings, I am finished with my meeting. I don't mind the company, Oenone," Thanatos answered in a soft tone to her daughter's question, a smile gracing her delicate yet defined features.
Death could hear the series of grumpy complaints and the struggle to open the door before it was inevitably opened by a familiar tall figure who remained at the doorway while the two little figures stumbled into the office. They came to the side of Thanatos' massive desk; their little excited footsteps were a clear indication of getting to spend time with their mother.
"Hi, Momma!" Oenone exclaimed with a toothy grin, her attention darting to her mother's shiny bracelets and rings. "You look so pretty." She said with a twinkle of adoration in her mismatched eyes. Her small fingers toyed and smoothed over the jewels and metal her mother wore.
"Thank you. But not as pretty as my girls." Thanatos cooed at Oenone, who giggled while still jiggling Thanatos' bracelets as her attention shifted to her other daughter, who had come to her other side and laid her head on Thanatos' lap while still standing. "Hello, Nausikaa. How are you today?" The Entity of Death voiced in question, her gaze directed toward the quiet little girl. Thanatos lifted her daughter to sit on her lap before pressing a kiss on her forehead.
Nausikaa hummed lightly, a small smile appearing as she laid her head on her mother's shoulder. "I'm tired, Momma. Couldn't sleep," she mumbled, her words cut off by a yawn. "But today is good. I got to play in the garden and see you, Momma." She smiled sheepishly. It wasn't too often that Thanatos would be around during the daytime, but it was everything when her mother was around.
Thanatos smiled at her words. A slight worry grew that made her furrowed her brows in concern. "Are you having dreams again, Dear?" Death inquired gently. Nausikaa nodded her head wordlessly.
Thanatos decided not to press to avoid stressing her daughter. "I am always happy to spend time with my girls. But you need your sleep in the morning. We all can't be sleepy monsters now, can we, my dear?" She remarked in a playful tone. On her right, Oenone giggled at her words. Her daughters were no more morning beings than Thanatos herself was. It was not a time any of them wanted to be awake but of course, work had to be done still.
"Momma you are so silly. I'm not a sleepy monster." Nausikaa shook her head with a small grin of her own that reminded Thanatos of her father, her dimples curving her puffy cheeky made Death coo at her.
The Entity of Death grinned with her sharp canines and snorted in amusement. "If you say so, my dear. Your momma does not like waking up in the morning. I'll tell you that." She snickered knowing her mates would more than agree with her statement with how grumpy and irritable she was during the early hours of the day.
Her gaze moved to the familiar figure who had opened the door and remained standing at the doorway quietly which was very unlike him. "Kyron, you're still here? I wasn't aware you were still in the castle. You said you had work." Thanatos said with a raise of her brow, addressing the man at the door in a sharp tone. She was pleasantly surprised yet pleased at the presence of her mate that she had thought left. She noticed he was not wearing the dark gray suit with a white dress shirt that he usually wore for work but instead now wore loose blue jeans and a dark green shirt that Thanatos had gotten him. Even in simple clothing, he took Thanatos' breath away.
Kyron grinned at his wife's words as he stepped into the office, the ground creaking at his towering height and weight before he had taken a seat across Thanatos' desk. "There was a change in schedule from my fathers so today I didn't need to do any major work except attend some stupid meetings." He has begun to explain, laying back into the chair. "I could have stayed to do some other work if I had wanted but I would rather spend more time with our daughters." His dark pink lips gently curving in a smile toward the two children crowding Thanatos' space, fondness etched upon his face and sparkling in those emerald teen eyes of his.
Nausikaa hummed absentmindedly at her father's words. On the other hand her older twin, Oenone, paid the interaction of her parents no mind as she was stuck in her own little world and became distracted with the shiny toy cars she pulled out from Thanatos' desk.
"And I thought my lovely wife would love to see me more today as she made it clear I haven't been prioritizing her recently." Kyron spoke in a sincere yet cheeky tone, showing off his dimples.
Thanatos huffed at her husband's words, rolling her eyes. It may have been the evident truth but it would be a cold day in Niflheim before she would admit it. "Nonetheless, it is great to hear that you will be around today. I do love that you are present today, my irritating love." She remarked with a less than amused look that made her husband snort. "It's almost lunch time, we can head out for lunch if you want." She spoke to her twins and husband. Thanatos could see from the window that the sky was slowly beginning to darken.
"If I was not irritating, Merjama, life would simply not be as interesting now would it?" Kyron added in a playful tone with a shake of his head . Death scoffed at her words though she could not deny things would not be the same.
"Oh I want lunch too! Can I come?" Oenone spoke up excitedly, her attention coming forward at mention of food,
Nausikaa perked up. "Me too. I'm hungry." Her little stomach grumbled, it had been but a few hours since she ate except for the snacks she ate.
"Of course you both can come. It wouldn't be a family Lunch without you." Thanatos smiled at her daughters.
Kyron hummed, smoothing his fingers over his chin. "I'm in the mood for Lunch too. We should go before it gets too dark out." He said, glancing at the window.
Thanatos nodded in agreement as she stood for her seat, carrying Nausikaa on her hip as she stepped around her office. "We can freshen up before we leave and see if anyone else wants to come." Thanatos said, knowing at least some of her other children may want to come as well. "Sweetheart, do you want to walk or be carried?" Death asked in question, carefully brushing her daughter's dark brown hair from her forehead.
Nausikaa paused, pouting her lips in thought. "I want to walk now. Later I want to be carried." She answered. Nausikaa liked walking as it was an excuse to explore the places she couldn't go before. Her Momma smiled in understanding, placing her on the ground and instead held her hand as she began to walk out of her room.
Oenone ran over to her father and her hands tugged at his leg. "I want to be carried, papa. Please." She expressed. Unlike her younger twin, she honestly did not want to walk.
"Of course, princess. Let's catch up to your momma and sister." Kyron wasted no time in lifting his daughter and carrying her in his arms. He followed his wife out of the room as he joked and made funny faces that resulted in his daughter giggling.
Thanatos chuckled when she gazed back at the sight of her two trailing behind. It was simple moments like this that brought Thanatos joy life despite all the blood and death made it all while it.

A blonde headed and youthful Niklaus Mikaelson was making his way out of a nearby village he decided ages ago he wanted to visit after training with his father and brothers. The stroll through the forest and a small walking journey to the village gave the human man time to freely breathe and think away from the suffocating air of his father who always seemed to be disappointed no matter what he did to prove himself. He would always be perceived to be weaker than what his father expected of him to be. It was frustrating and frankly hurt to know he would never be good enough.
The young Niklaus let out a quiet breath of air, brushing his blonde hair behind his ear as he walked past the various happy looking village folk walking the opposite direction of where he was heading. There were trading tables and various small markets Niklaus had looked upon in curiosity during the first couple days he had been there. From all sorts of foods he had neer seen before, sugars, planting means, and crafted jewelry were sold in the trading. Seeing so much he had never seen before only fueled his desire to travel and see more of the new world.
From the moment he stepped on food, the village felt lively, almost like a warm atmosphere that his own village lacked. It was a change that only made him long to travel and see the world for himself. He almost begrudgingly decided to head back home despite not desiring to. But he had promised his mother he would be back before the full moon rose, and it was only a day or two before it would be.
Niklaus was too spaced out, drowning in his thoughts that he had not noticed his pathway until he had crashed into a young woman. It snapped his attention back to reality, and he glanced at the woman in a slight panic. "I apologize, my lady. Are you alright?" He asked sincerely before his breath caught in his throat at the view of the woman's unfiltered beauty. The unknown woman had a delicate yet graceful figure that seemed to semblance the likeness of everlasting beauty.
Despite having bumped into him and halted where she was heading, she has been able to retain her posture. Niklaus took notice of her hair which was a mix of black semblance the color of the endless night sky with strands of pale lavender purple and pale Blue that were illuminated against the light of the sun. Her dress was a simple yet well-worn dark gray dress that draped to her feet and modestly covered her cleavage, the appearance seemingly crafted to every detail.
The woman gave him a polite smile, her eyes were as bright and as luminous as the substance of gold with sparks of silver present in dark Forest Green. "It is alright. You have caused me no harm, good sir." She spoke in an airy but low voice. Though her tone sounded honeyed and light like she spoke without a care, she remained in control of every word she spoke. "I should have seen the sight of a handsome man such as yourself." She remarked with a knowing smile, curving her pouty rosy lips.
Niklaus was taken aback by her words, internally, he hoped his cheeks weren't as red as he felt flustered. "Thank you. You flatter me, my lady." He expressed in a posh tone that he often heard his mother speaking. "My name is Niklaus. It is impolite of me not to have given my name." He spoke, taking a careful grasp of the lady's hand and playing a kiss upon the back of her back. Luckily, during their exchange of words, they did not block others as they stood off to an abandoned house.
She tilted her head, those eyes sharp, cutting into him like he could hide nothing from her view. "Niklaus." She pronounced his name almost like she was testing how it sounded through her thick accent that sounded from an unfamiliar land. She gave a grin toward him. "What a fitting name it is indeed of a man like yourself, Niklaus. I am Lady Nasreen Munteanu. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance." She introduced herself. "I assume you were making your way out of the village?"
Niklaus gave a small smile at the use of his name. He felt Nasreen's surname was one he had heard of before, and it sparked familiarity, but he could not point to where he had heard it from. "Indeed it is my lady. And yes, I was making my way out." He answered, his eyes gazing at the sky beginning to darken. "I hope to see you around if you happen to be around the area." He said thoughtfully. He couldn't explain it, but something about this woman made him want to know more about her and made his stomach flutter like no other feeling he had experienced. Her beauty was out of this world, yet that was not what drew him in.
Nasreen smiled. "I'm sure we will see each other around, Niklaus. But until then, I bid you well."

"That bloody accursed nuisance." Niklaus Mikaelson snarled the words as he roughly wiped the blood off his face, his face contorting in disgust. The blood of those beneath him and unworthy always left a bitter, sour taste in his mouth. There was none of the usual joy he felt when spilling blood for his vendetta, only cold retribution that boiled down to inflicting as much pain as possible before taking a life.
The Original angrily stomped his way through the lobby of the hotel he was temporarily residing in. Niklaus couldn't care less of the fearful looks he received when he was seething from frustration from being unable to find what he was looking for. He needed to gather himself and create a plan to take back what was stolen from him. He could not go to Mystic Falls until he had his business in order, and currently, none of it was.
He had noticed when the specific item was missing as it had more or less caused him to spiral into what his older brother would describe as a rage-filled tantrum that destroyed everything in his path. It did not take long to create a list of possible traitors that eventually led him to the pathetic group of vampires who once idealized him years ago as their sire. Intentionally, when he approached the group, Niklaus had made them a deal that he would spray those that gave him the information he wanted but they were defiant to stubbornly keep their mouths shut and not utter a word of who was truly behind the thievery. They had given him no other choice but to rip them apart until the only sound that could be heard was the sounds of agony and their screams.
Klaus sighed, unlocking the door with his key and walking into the spacious hotel room. The original kicked off his blood-coated shoes carelessly and proceeded to stomp his way to the bathroom. It would be easier to scheme and plot his next moves without being covered in what reminded him of his failure.
"Niklaus." The cold voice called his name, making him pause and turn his head in the direction of the voice. "Have you had your fun, brother? With the mess you made, I would assume you had your full."
There was that clear edge of disappointment in Elijah's tone, but Klaus had grown used to it by then. Klaus pursues his lips in false thought before deciding to grace his brother with an answer.
"Brother, we both know I am never satisfied with things. Haven't you learned that by now?" He remarked, shrugging off his jacket and throwing it somewhere in the room. Anywhere but near him was preferable.
The noble original hummed, giving a once over-calculated look to his younger brother. "It's evident we both don't seem to learn from the past, Niklaus," Elijah said in an even tone, his face indifferent and giving nothing that goes on in that mind of his.
Klaus rolled his blue eyes, gritting his teeth as his jaw clenched for a moment. "Surely you didn't come here to preach and pray for my soul to the dead gods. So why are you here, brother?" He questioned, emphasizing each word of his question like it was a statement and demanded an answer in return.
He narrowed his eyes at the clean suit and neat attire of his noble brother as if he were a saint who could do no wrong. But Niklaus knew better of the blood and countless lies his brother had spilled. "Or are you here for advice on how to pursue the lovely witch Marika Vasia? It's about time. It's silly to watch you have a crush like some inexperienced teenager." Klaus innocently spoke with a growing smirk as he entered the kitchen to clean off his bloodied hands and face, having a feeling this conversation was going to be one he must participate in. The witch was no doubt beautiful and powerful, yet his brother had not pursued anything, which made him wonder why.
His older brother looked at him sharply as a sigh escaped his lips, his quiet steps entering the kitchen like a shadow. "Do not mock the gods, Niklaus. Even deceased, they are not to be trifled with or disrespected." Elijah warned. "And no, this is not about Marika, who is not your concern, brother." He said without pause, daring his brother to comment with a side glance when Klaus glanced over his shoulder before he continued on. "This is about you and your temperamental slaughter feasts across countries and towns. I've come for answers to why you have been doing it. Why does all the pointless slaughter give you in return, brother?" He inquired with a small tilt of his head.
Klaus huffed as he turned on the sink to wash his arms and watched as the water began to run red. Despite what his brother may think, he did have his reasons at times for the things he did, and this instance is no different. This wasn't business, and it was personal enough to make him want to burn those thieves where they stood. "Something was stolen from me. I don't tolerate people that steal from me and those that protect them. They all deserved to be rotting." Klaus sneered, his fangs itching to rip and tear through any living obstacle.
His older brother had remained silent, analyzing the anger and hints of sorrow radiating off him no doubt. "What exactly was stolen from you, Niklaus?" He asked, this time in a gentler tone as he pressed on. "It must be of great importance to have spurred this type of rage you have deep in your heart, brother."
Klaus inhaled sharply, his mind drifting off to memories he often wished would fade away as she had from his life. Yet he remained cursed to recall them as clear as if they occurred just yesterday. He could truly never bring himself to forget the woman who's stolen his heart and crushed it to pieces. "It was a ring she had gifted to me, Elijah." He emphasised through clenched teeth, his tone frustrated and angry as he felt.
"It was all I had left of her and they took it from me. I want it back and I won't stop until I have it back." Klaus spoke, finally gracing his brother with the answer he had been searching for. 'You want the ring but you know she will never come back to you; she abandoned you,' His mind spat at him bitterly. "I am not content with moving forward with my plans until I have them back with me."
Elijah pursed his lips as his brows furrowed in thought of what to make of this. He knew exactly the woman his brother was speaking of, and it made sense that the ring was so important to him. The noble original was aware of his brother's attachment and the memory held in such a simple object. "I apologize for my interrogating Niklaus. I am aware her memory still haunts you." Elijah said in a sincere tone, noting that his brother refused to glance at him even though he had finished washing the blood off.
"It's fine." Klaus brushed the apology off. "I knew you would come by sooner or later when you always tend to clean up my messes. It was inevitable." He did feel a bit guilty on putting more on his brother when Elijah has always been there for him. On the other hand, his pride would simply not let him express freely as it felt dangerously close to admitting weakness. And these days Klaus was unsure if he could even trust his so called family.
The older of the two grunted in response. "Do you have a lead on who the thieves maybe?" He asked, directing the conversation in a new direction now that he was aware his brother was not just outright slaughtering without at least an acceptable reason.
"Yes, I do," he said as he dried his hands off with the rag near the sink. Soon enough, I will have it back, and then I will take what has rightfully always been mine." They both knew he was not just talking about the ring. Retaining his Werwolf side was another priority he was so close to achieving. He just needed a bit more time, and luckily, he had nothing but time until he arrived at Mystic Falls to take what was his.

After the incident of the bloody rose appearing, it was clear Klaus was warning them he would appear when they least expected him to come. They needed to stay on guard. Before leaving for her own home, Bonnie had made sure to put a protective spell over the entire Gilbert residence. Along with a spell crafted by her sister to make it so that even the vampires that had already visited must be invited again. Each of them comes by the house just to be on the safe side. So far, it seemed any vampire would want a chance to prove themselves to Klaus in any way they could. The spell was simple, and she hoped she could be settled enough to get a good night's sleep now that she knew her friend would be safe from harm. But unfortunately, things did not want to go the young witch's way.
Bonnie groaned loudly out of grogginess as she sat up and slipped the blanket to her waist. She was awakened yet again by a nightmare she could not escape from. This time, she was being chased by what looked like shadowy hounds that eventually caught her and tore her apart like she was a chew toy; the pain she felt as if it was reality was terrifying. Her head felt like her brain was banging against her skull. The temperature in her room wasn't hot yet she was sweating like she had been running for her life. As she smoothed her hands over her face, she discovered that she must have been crying in her sleep. Bonnie sighed with the type of nightmare she had it made sense tears would come.
A knock on her door returned her attention as the voice of her sister brought her back. "Bonnie, are you awake?" Calaeno asked yet it felt her words were miles away from Bonnie's ears. She heard the door creek open and she quickly closed her eyes when the lights were flickered. Calaeno grasped at the sight of her sister once she was able to see her in the light. "What happened? Bon are you hurt?" She questioned, quicking rushing over to her sister's side.
"I woke up from a nightmare. Why do you look so concerned?" Bonnie asked, feeling confused when her sister was aware these nightmares happened occasionally.
The younger witch watched as her sister took a couple of tissues from her desk and used them to wipe what she thought were tears but she felt horrified to find it was her own blood that must have been pouring down her eyes. "Oh no. What the fuck..." Bonnie trailed off not knowing what to say, shock taking over her body with wide eyes. She couldn't believe the sight of the blood stained tissues like it was some sort of trick being played on her.
"Bonnie, calm down, you're going to have a full blown panic attack if you don't calm down." Her sister's voice washed over her while now taking note of the tight feeling in her chest and her inability to breathe. Calaeno grabbed her sister's face, turning to look at her before grasping Bonnie's shaking hands. "Breathe in with me, Bon, okay? Just like me." She said, taking slow but deep breaths and her sister began to copy her. "There you go. You got this, Bon."
The suffocating weight lessened, and after a few minutes, she felt she could breathe. "I don't understand how blood could pour out of my eyes."
She muttered in confusion once she regained her ability to speak once more. "This has never happened before. Just how?" The young witch felt at a loss of words; she was baffled.
"It's because of the Book of Death. The more you use it, the more it has a hold on you, and its unholy darkness seeps into your being." Calaeno explained in a calm and even tone. This was no doubt more than alarming how fast the darkness was taking hold of her sister. She needed to stay strong for her sister, they both could not afford to be shaken.
"However, it shouldn't be able to attach to you so quickly unless..." Calaeno trailed. It couldn't be, it was ridiculous to even think of the notion.
"Unless what?" Bonnie pressed on for answers, pleading silently for a reason why she was suffering this way. Her sister didn't answer instead was quietly chanting an incantation while holding her hand with both of hers in a semi-tight grip. Seemingly afraid she may slip away in the night and never return. Suddenly the pain Bonnie unintentionally managed to ignore was fading away from her, and her eyes no longer felt sore and uncomfortable like he had been balling her eyes out.
"It's not important. Right now, what's important is your well-being," Calaeno said, vaguely brushing off her sister's curiosity. It was unfortunate Grams was away. He knew better how to deal with this stuff and had much more experience in this area. I wish Grams was here. She always knows what to do." She sighed, standing up from where she sat on the side of Bonnie's bed.
"You still haven't told me where Grams has been." Bonnie pointed out, stretching her arms out and raring the satisfying crack. "Or why are you always awake at this time too? You seem always awake during this time, and I want to know why." It annoyed her how secretive her sister was, like there was more she was aware of, and Bonnie how much that made her feel excluded.
"I told you she had some business to take care of out of town. And she'll be back soon once she pays off her debt." Calaeno answered her sister, glancing around the room to see if anything was unusual. Everything was as it had always been except the cursed book on Bonnie's desk which made the room feel dark and empty. "You haven't bothered to ask until now, but I will tell you anyway. This is when I pray to Thanatos before the day begins and collect offerings and symbols to create a shrine in the name of death." The older witch attempted to put it simply as it was essentially what she does while Bonnie sleeps at night. It was of the utmost importance she created the shrine.
Bonnie remained silent as her sister spoke. "I meant to ask, but I kept forgetting. I would like to see this shrine if you don't mind. I don't know much about what you and Grams do in the name of Thanatos." She added, feeling slight guilt for thinking harshly over her sister. "What kind of business and to whom exactly does she owe this debt that must be gone for weeks? Something isn't adding up, Cal."
Calaeno gave a small smile. "Yes, I can show you the shrine, and I'll tell you more. But for now, I can't answer your questions about grams." She almost looked like I took back her own words. "I know it sucks being in the dark, but grams will tell you. Right now isn't the time for you to know what she is doing. Please trust me, Bonnie." She pleaded with her sister to believe her. All she wanted was the best for her at the end of the day.
"Fine. I do trust you, but I better get my answers." She stubbornly gave in after a few agonizing moments of silence between the two sisters. Things were far from settled, but at least she would eventually get some sort of understanding.
"Great!" Calaeno grasped her hands together, relief flooding her to form happily. "I'll make you some special tea, Bon. It'll help you fall asleep."
"Thank you." Bonnie yawned, her green eyes tearing up. Despite her mind being awake, her body still felt tired and exhausted. She couldn't deny he needed more rest. The young witch watched as her sister left the room, and she stayed alone in her room. This creeping that something was in her room yet now was nowhere to be found made her skin crawl uncomfortably. It wasn't a person or an object, but it felt eerily like a menacing presence. She wondered if it was just her dream getting the better of her or if it was actually there. Bonnie sighed and pushed the paranoia, it would just have to be a problem for another day.

The sun had made its appearance in the sky, shining its precious light to give luminance and life to all that craved its attention. The sun Goddess must be smiling upon them once more she recalled her Grams telling her after her prayers to the Death Spirits.
It had been a few hours after the second she had woken up. This time feeling much more energized and rested didn't make her feel she was carrying the weight of the world, Bonnie was able to eat breakfast with her sister before Cal went to work she did during the weekends.
"Cal, if there are so many gods and goddesses out there, then who was the one that created the sun? Surely it didn't just appear out of nowhere." Bonnie had asked her sister as she ate her plate of eggs with bacon and fries spinach. Her sister always made sure to season the food to almost a chef's level with how delicious it tasted.
"Yes, it didn't just appear out of nowhere with no reason." Caleno snorted in amusement, packing up her lunch for the day. "The High Goddess Hesperia created the concept of the sun to expel and burn the darkness that was eating away universes and realms to the point of death. The light from the sun helps to further keep and maintain the balance of light and darkness within the series of universes as well." Her older sister explained to her, and it only made her curiosity grow further in fascination.
"Technically speaking, Bon, God is a woman. And she is a powerhouse to not be messed with." She grinned, that twinkle of light shining in her emerald green eyes mischievously. She couldn't hide how much she admired the goddess and knew a lot of the Areva mythology surrounding the Mother of Light.
Bonnie couldn't help at the time but smile at that along with her sister. It was nice to know god wasn't some stuck up being in the form of man with a complex. There was stil so much out there she didn't yet even begin to understand and she hopped she could start to learn bit by bit.
The young witch sighed, her attention brought back to the task at hand. She needed to stop getting distracted. With a flicker of her hand, she lit the black candles that oddly smelled like a mix of Lavender and Cinnamon. These were the specific candles her sister told her to use when praying to Thanatos as it was a form of symbolism and a respectful way of doing so.
She took a deep breath in and exhaled. "Nomine Thanatos voco. Ego enim sum qui sequitur voluntatem creationis et aequilibrii." Bonnie chanted the incantation Cal told her to say before praying. "This is my first time praying, so sorry, I'm not too good at it." She thought in her mind, her eyes closed in concentration.
"I am praying to request a meeting. I have questions about the ingredients and the rest of this task I am supposed to do. The book doesn't give all the answers and isn't very clear on instructions. So please and thank you when you get the chance to answer." Bonnie said through her prayer, somewhat in a nervous haze since she didn't want to accidentally offend or anything but luckily, she managed to say what she wanted to say. The witch was patient as she assumed the God of Death had many more important tasks to handle, so she didn't mind the wait.
A knock on the door echoed from where she sat in her living room before a familiar voice had said loudly. "Bon, have you gotten ready? Me and Elena are here!" The bubbly voice of her blonde headed friend never failed to make her smile and shake her head.
Bonnie raised herself from her sitting position, walking her way to the front door. She turned the knob, allowing the door to open wide. "Care I don't know how you manage to sound more awake than me." She said in a teasing tone. Elena rolled her eyes with a laugh escaping her mouth, stepping through the doorway to enter. Caroline groaned when she tried to do the same. "Oh yeah, you haven't been here in a while. You have to be invited each time you come by. You can come in." Bonnie said, remembering that her grams and sister had spelled the house against supernatural entities.
Caroline huffed, slinging her pag over her shoulder. "It really is a bad time to be a vampire. Dangerous times." She joked, finally able to walk without being pushed back by the barrier. "Stefan said he would be right behind us. I have no idea what he is doing though." The younger Salvtore had been secretive of what he was doing but Caroline assumed he was just getting things for the trip they were taking.
"I think he meant it literally. He's coming up the steps." Bonnie said while the blonde further made her way in the witch's witch's house. "Hello, Stefan. You can come in." She greeted curtly, giving a nod before walking back inside.
"It's good to see you, Bonnie." Stefan said, following her inside once he was invited. The young witch hummed absentmindedly. Now that they were all here, they could talk briefly before they began to drive.
"Okay do we have all we need? The trip to the next town should be about five to seven hours. Hopefully, we can get the ingredients I need from there." Bonnie stated. She glanced at her two friends and Stefan, hoping they were prepared as she was. The witch made use of her time to pack what she needed for this trip. The Bones of Endunov that Jeremy had put together was one of the vital ingredients needed to open the mysterious box given to her by Death. Whatever was in that box though not her business, it was her concern to see through completing the task.
Stefan, Caroline and Elena nodded their heads. "Let's get moving. The sun will only be up for so long. Let's try to get there before night." The witch announced as confidently as she could. There's no telling what is wandering in the night she thought warily.

Death's dark gray eyes glowed curiously toward the rain tainted windows of her office as she heard Bonnie's prayer. Thanatos hummed, signing off on the paperwork she was looking over. Fortunately there wasn't much left she needed to do anyways. She anticipated that Bonnie would pray to her at some point so this was no surprise to the entity.
Thanatos halted, dropping her pen on her desk. She snapped her fingers and a paper appeared, hovering in the air in front of her. Thes tip of her manicured black painted nails glowed a menacing blue and vibrant green swirling around her hand like the celestial energy craved to do more. "Bonnie Bennett, I have heard your prayer and you will have your meeting with a trusted messenger of mine in exactly two weeks when you receive this letter. Remember to ask the right questions or you will not get the answers you seek. You have been warned." Thanatos spoke the words as her magic willed for it to be written on the paper in neat and clear black ink before signing her name at the end. The god of death flickered her hand lazily, the paper now in a black envelope and sealed with Thanatos' symbol of a scythe and a star. This letter was only for Bonnie and only she would be able to open it to be read.
The entity grasped the closed envelope. She allowed her energy to seep into the letter and absorb before she summed a raven of hers. "Bring this to Bonnie. No detours, Nile. You've had enough blood." Thanatos ordered firmly. The bird Nile looked disappointed but nodded nonetheless, taking the letter in his mouth and flying out the window to follow his master's order.
A dark smirk curved Thanatos' red rosy lips. "Only a matter of time now." She hummed with a slow smile. Grey eyes glowing menacing for what was to come.
