(how can someone look so amazing even in a meme face omg- mom, i love him)

yeah so this is something i can actually go on and on about since i myself write enhypen fanfics and believe me, i have seen many things which have made me mad enough to write this chapter.

not mad- im kinda frustrated ngl

1) Love triangles

first of all, just why. like why do you need a love triangle in every. freaking. love. story?

like is the y/n too amazing to have two handsome af boys dying for her? and then later one one just gets rejected and we readers spend days crying for him

like personally if u just have a guy extra- im sitting right here because why waste a handsome character if u just want him for show and u r already going to break his heart ✋🏻

and please dont get me started on the love triangles where the duo is picked from jasuke like- what did the 02 liners even do wrong to get involved in a love triangle?

and like people have read so many stories with love triangles that even though a book DOES NOT have any of that shit, they start wondering if there's a love triangle if the female lead is more closer to another band member apart from the male lead

like i can literally feel this- in one of my books (particularly Avenge) where jake is the main character- people are going in the comments and wondering if there's a love triangle between y/n (diana) and jakehoon just because sunghoon stayed back in the house with y/n while others left

like- can u guys just realise how the mentality of people has changed due to reading too many books focused on love triangles? they even make a love triangle of their own tho there is no such thing in the book like that

i mean i dont have anything against love triangles but please, they are so over-used that at this point i actually feel revolted about reading any sort of love triangle (usually highschool ones)

like they are enjoyable but please dont write it in the most cliche way possible unless you want people to just predict everything in the book

2) That one same role of everyone

jay- some bully/bad guy dude

jake- that guy who is tooooooo bubbly/so warm that even my cold coffee started boiling due to the excessive warmth

sunghoon- that very cold/stone hearted guy

lemme just go on about this one by one-

what the hell did jay ever do wrong? like i literally fail to understand how that man with simply amazing personality be portrayed as a bully or a bad guy (i agree his awesome visuals scream otherwise but pls)

like okay a few books with jay as the guy with bad boy things is alright- we get it. but what if u see almost 80% of the books where jay is showed as a guy without a heart but then he becomes warm after meeting y/n? of course everyone's gonna get bored and called that storyline a cliche

like at this point someone make a book where jay is warm and kind but then turns into a bad boy after meeting y/n LMAO- the complete opposite

now for jake. gosh, what is a jake fanfic if u dont melt into a puddle of goo in every single chapter? like okay i know jake's really warm in real life and adorable but some bad boy vibes wont hurt much, uk? but anyways u actually can't write about jake without making his character a bit warm and bubbly so i'll cut some slack for that.

and last but not the least, sunghoon. oh god, i can literally make a book on sunghoon's cliche personality. in almost all the sunghoon fanfics, he is very cold towards people, a literal frozen popsicle with limbs and a head walking around because of the cold aura he gives.

personally, i feel sunghoon is so warm in real life that i'm surprised the ice rink didnt melt when he skates like hello??

like okay if he's called the ice prince- it's for his skills and not for that cliche and overused personality half of the people consider him as. like come on people, we can do better than that typical cold guy with weird warm feelings for that y/n apart from which he is cold for everyone.

3) The ice-skating thingy

this is where i can write a million books, all of them only ranting about this thing. i used to think sunghoon retired from his ice skating career but damn, i was so wrong. y'all lowkey continued his ice skating career on wattpad

i literally search for sunghoon books and 95% of them are linked to ice skating- LIKE EVEN THE TITLE HAS EITHER 'ICE' OR 'SKATE' 

like it's alright, a few books are fine but why the fuck are we just putting that storyline as a standard story on which the other authors will just build on top of it? like someone tell me, do y'all like ice skating so much that i see so many books about ice skating or is it just because sunghoon used to skate?

at this rate, write a dozen books where jake is a footballer or whatever the members love doing

like even i had a short story about ice skating featuring sunghoon but after seeing this kind of bullshit i actually deleted it from my drafts.

also- why is the y/n either an ice skater/a person who just started skating? like can't she be a random person and their love story is depicted somewhere else instead on that mfing ice rink?

like the ice rinks on which these love stories happen be like- "stop making my ice feel single u mfs"

just like how sunghoon retired from ice skating to be an idol like he dreamt, JUST STOP WRITING THIS ONE STORY LINE ABOUT HIM FOR GOD'S SAKE

even the readers are literally fed up of reading that same shit every single day- so just stop doing it thankss

okay so i just had this much to rant. this is just my opinion though so if u dont agree with me don't start acting up like as if it's the end of the world

if u are a new writer, bestie dont write these cliches because believe me, we readers are done with these kind of shit. think out of the box, some storyline which no one has ever written about and trust me, people will love your work i can guarantee you.

and to those who have written a book like this- don't feel bad after reading this, im pretty sure you must have some drafts so just take care in future <3
