Y/N's POV

"Oh, come on! That would never work!" I cried out as coach crossed his arms.

"Don't give up before even trying, I thought I trained you better," he huffed out.

"You know that they'll never let a girl in to be a part of the security team. They've got a policy against female bodyguards s-"

"Then break that policy," he scoffed in response.

"You're being diff-"

"Life's difficult. If you want something, fight for it. I thought you'd know that more than anyone considering your past," he stated as my eyes widened.

"You wouldn't dare," I seethed as he only raised an eyebrow.

"Oh, I see your temper is still as fresh as ever," he sighed as he turned the other way. "You didn't get out of that hellhole of a home years ago for nothing, Y/N."

As he walked away, I clenched my fists before turning to slam my fist forward into a wall. The impact caused bits to crumble off and fall to my feet as I raged, blood slowly dripping out from a small wound that had formed.

He wants me to take the job?

Fine, I'll take it.

Flaring my nostrils, I brought my fist down, letting the dust powder into the air from the cracks in the wall. Brushing off the pieces that stuck into my hand, I gazed at the oozing blood.

I let out a silent scoff, stepping out of the room to make my way out of the building. I walked past the familiar shops and cafes among the streets as I went to a pizza place.

Giving my order, I sat down as I waited for the pizza to come, staring out at the window. The stars would shine brightly tonight, it seemed like it would be a starry might.

The pizza came and I started to eat, choking in the middle when my phone buzzed against my ass. Taking it out from my back pocket, I answered it as I gulped down the bites I was chewing.

"Hey, Y/-"

"Ahh, coach!" I grumbled out as I shoved more pizza down my throat.

"What are you doi- never mind. Don't answer that, I'd rather not know. You've got some spare time before we meet back together again. We've got you scheduled for the stylists an-"

"Stylists?" I choked out again as I breathed in cheese and bread.

"Yes, this isn't like the normal duty you give. This is an event for the tryouts and auditions. Extremely fancy so you can't wear whatever. You'll be dressed-"

"Like a slut," I cut him off as I drank water to clear my throat.

"Stop interrupting m-"

"Sorry."

"Ugh, alrig-"

"Not sorry," I added on as he grunted out profanities.

"You're such a bitch," he retaliated.

"I was born one, get over it," I wiped my hands over my pants because who even uses napkins?

"You were also born by one," he commented as I blew out a breath.

"Don't go there," I sighed as I left a 78 dollar tip over the table, getting up from my seat.

"Your paren-"

"I said don't, coach."

"Look, it's your famil-"

Ending the call, I walked out of the mini restaurant as I went through the streets, heading back to where I lived.

I didn't need to be constantly reminded of them.

Unlocking the door, I was immediately greeted with a happy bark as a ball of fluff ran to my feet.

"Saint! My baby!" I grinned as I crouched down to pick up my husky and nuzzle my nose against his.

Getting excited woofs in response, I decided to feed him first in case he had gotten hungry since I was out longer this morning.

"You're such a sleepy pup," I cooed at him as I set him down, going to the kitchen where his bowls were.

He followed behind my steps, wagging his tail as his tongue stuck out. Before I got his food, I kissed his ear as I pulled his cheeks.

"I would have fed you before I left but you were sleeping and I didn't want a spider or something to get in your food if I left it out," I pouted at him as he just sat down and barked at me twice.

Going to the cabinet, I pulled out the bag of dog food I had and poured in his meal into his bowl. I put the food back as I went to get a water bottle from the table. Grabbing one for myself as well, I twisted the cap open until it gave off a snap, twisting off as the bottle opened. I bent down to pour the water into Saint's bowl as he moved aside to watch me, stopping his meal.

Ruffling his fur, he licked my hand as he went back to eating, slurping at the water every once in a while. I leaned against the wall as he ate, drinking the water I had gotten for myself as well.

"I'm exhausted boy, how was your morning? I'm sure it was busy with chewing at my shoes while I was out, huh?" I smiled at him as he turned to me, his eyes big.

Chuckling, I kissed his ear as he continued to eat his food. I got up and set the bottle on the table as I left the kitchen. I went into the living room as I saw dog toys scattered around everywhere as they usually were when I wasn't home.

I figured it was easier for Saint to play with them that way since every time I put them back in my room, when I'd leave in the morning and come back, they'd be all over the house. Leaving them there, I went to my room as I got my towel to take a shower. Going to the bathroom, I took my clothes off as I turned the water on for the shower.

After washing and rinsing off, I stepped out to wrap a towel around my chest as I grabbed another to run through my hair. Not hearing any barking, I thought Saint was probably just playing with his toys as I walked out.

As I stepped back into the living room, I saw Saint laying on the ground as I sighed.

"Saint," I called out to him as he gave me his tongue response. "You find any and every chance to sleep, it makes me happy that you rest so much. Glad that you don't have to work so much like I do," I brushed my fingers under his chin as he wiggles his paws at me. "I'll always work hard for you, I promise you my boy," I smiled at him as he blinked at me.

Getting up, I fluffed his fur again before walking back to my room to get ready. I dried myself as I kept my hair wrapped in another towel. I let my hair down, drying it through with the towel as I went to find a more fancy outfit than I usually wore.

I mean, I was going to have to change when I got there anyways.

Letting a grunt of frustration out, I shuffled through the clothes as I threw on my outfit.

You can choose any or come up with one of your own!

"Saint! I'll be home later than I usually am," I called out to him as I grabbed my phone and looked for the house keys.

As I frantically rushed around the room to find the keys, I walked out to search over the tables.

"Keys, keys, I need them," I muttered as I moved pillows and blankets around from the living room.

Maybe the kitchen?

"There's no way I can leave the place unlocked, there's always the risk of them finding out and coming here and I have Saint here without me," hundreds of scenarios came over my head as I panicked over the thoughts.

I walked out to the living room to the living room to call coach. He bette-

Before I could get my phone from off the table, I heard the jingle of keys as I turned to see Saint's head down.

"Boy?" I narrowed my eyes at him as he turned around, the keys clinking together again. "Saint!" I rushed to him to pull the keys out of his mouth as he pulled them against me. "Please, boy?" I pleaded with him as I didn't want to be late like I always was.

With a whimper, he let the keys drop from out of his jaw as I searched his mouth in case the keys had hurt him somewhere. Sighing in relief that he was okay, I grabbed the dog slobber keys with a smile as I kissed his ears before getting up.

I got my phone as I turned to leave, locking the door as I stepped out, facing Saint once more before I left. Seeing him already in the process of sleeping, I smiled and blew him a kiss.

"Try not to jump at the windows and scare the humans or eat any living thing while I'm gone!"

"Don't you love it when I'm always late?" I asked as I walked into the room to get ready as coach crossed his arms at me.

"So much that it's the strangest thing when you're on time and don't even get me started on you being early," he rolled his eyes.

As I went to sit down, his gaze went to my outfit as he gave me a thumbs up.

"Glad that you can at least dress yourself decently, too bad you can't wear that to the actual event," he turned his thumbs up into a thumbs down.

"Such a f-"

"L/N!" I got called as I stood and walked over to the lady that called me.

"Here," I nodded at her as she nodded back, walking over to the other side of the room as I followed her.

"The theme for tonight's event is black so we will be dressing you accordingly," she informed as I hummed in response. "First will be dress, then hair and makeup. The limousine will be here by the time we're done and you'll get to the event earlier than everyone else because obviously, you're going as security," she spoke as moved dresses around that were on racks.

"So what? The rest of the security?"

"Are all males and will be wearing black suits just like the rest of the males attending the event," she answered as she turned to me with a dress and a grin.

"The only female security there and you will be dazzling under everyone's eyes," she gushed out as she pulled me towards her, giving me the dress.

You can choose or come up with your own!

"So I put this on myself?" I asked her as she sighed.

"I can help you or just do it for you," she responded as I smiled at her.

"I may be lazy but I won't drag out your work for you," I moved to the side as I changed, resting my outfit onto a chair as I stepped forward with the black dress on.

She turned me as she adjusted the dress properly, fitting it to my body exactly as she gestured me to a seat.

Several others came into the room as they twirled my hair around, swiping brushes over my face as I stayed still. After a while, they did their finishing touches as I stood.

"Remember that any of the people at the event may choose you as their bodyguard," coach came over as he held my phone and keys.

"Yeah, I know. My martial arts kicks ass, who wouldn't want me to protect their life with my own?" I scoffed as coach rolled his eyes.

"Me, though your skills are nearly passing mine," he smiled proudly at me.

"Aw, no one's as good of a trainer as you!" I grinned at him as he winked at me.

"I know, I just wanted to hear you say it," he leaned towards me. "Plus you're so stunning as always."

"Are you trying to make a move on me?" I laughed.

"So what if I am?" He replied with a dramatic wink.

"You're not my type," I said the overused answer to shut people down.

"What's your type?" He raised an eyebrow at me.

"Guys with swag. Plus you're old enough to be my dad."

"More like your daddy," he tried to contain his laughter at his own joke as I let out a chuckle.

"That was a good one, I won't lie," I admitted as he gave me a high five.

"Ahh, but worry not. You're like a daughter," he stared at me with the look of him getting ready to tell another joke. "Right, baby girl?" He burst with laughter as he slapped his knees, gasping for breath.

"This is not good for your old age," I said as he stood up and pointed at me.

"Hey! I'm not a grandfather yet, but you know what I am?" He pursed his lips together in a smile to stop his laughter again.

"What?" I asked as I knew he would answer with something again.

"Your oppa."

There was a pause of silence before he was roaring with laughter again as I let out my own chuckles.

"You're on fire pops," I praised him as he slung an arm around my shoulder.

"I'm lit."

Snorting up spit, I choked out for air as coach fell to his knees with laughter.

"You two," the stylist sighed. "Sir, at least you can act mature for your age to set an example for Y/N," she said as he looked up at her.

"You're right, I can," he said as he stood up. "But I won't," he ran out the room with his boasting laughter.

I couldn't stop laughing as I followed him out, the sky already getting dark as I got in the limousine.

As we laughed through the ride, once we arrived, we both let out a breath.

"Get your poker game face on, girlie. It's business time," we both toned the humor down as the driver opened my door and took my hand to pull me out.

Nodding at him in thanks, I walked in as the event was ready for the arrival of those who were attending. I made my way to stand with the rest of the security as one of the bodyguards raised an eyebrow at me.

"You're here as security?" He asked me.

"Clearly, if you couldn't tell," I rolled my eyes as another male popped out from next to him with a smile.

"Woah, I think that's great! I love equality for diversity!" He cheered with a grin as I smiled back at him.

"That's because you're gay," the grouchy one said.

"What does that have to do with anything?" I raised an eyebrow at him as the happy one grinned at me.

"Exactly! Me and my boyfriend are very happy together and are planning on marriage and kids!!" He gushed with lit up eyes as I smiled big at him.

"That's amazing! Don't let the grouch garbage bring you down!" I told him as he chuckled with me.

"Did you know, I'm standing right here," the grouchy one said.

"I know, but did you know that I didn't ask where you were," I replied as the happy one came to stand next to me.

"Ooh, yes girl!" He exclaimed as I turned to him. "That was a good one!" He gushed.

"Let's go and be happy while the guests get here," I said as we walked off, going to get drinks.

"Aw, I make such better drinks than these," he pouted as we sipped on I don't know what in the glass.

"No way, you're a bartender!?" I exclaimed as he raised his eyebrows at me.

Which can I just say, were far better than mine would ever be.

Like yes, that arch.

"Guuurl!! How'd you guess?" He pushed his hair back as he nodded. "Yup, I've been one for years now, my boyfriend visits me sometimes at the bar when I work."

"That's so sweet! Goals!" I cheered as he grinned.

"You got that right!" He agreed as people started to arrive. "Ooh, girl you are slaying! Did you get everything done before you got here?"

"Yeah, don't tell me that you can do hair and makeup?!" I stared at him with awe as he chuckled.

"Nah, I'm not that fab with beauty, but I try stuff out on my boyfriend all the time. He's the greatest," he rested a hand against his cheek as he let out a happy sigh.

"Definitely, I wish you two the best!" I told him as he smiled at me.

"What about you? Got a man?" He asked as he sipped his drink.

"Ah, yes. He gives me the best kisses, wet and slobbery, spit and saliva everywhere," I gushed with happiness.

"Uhm," he paused to let me continue with an eyebrow raised.

"My husky, Saint," I explained as he laughed.

"I was gonna be like, guuuurrrrl, I think we might have got a slight problem," he threw his head back to let out a chuckle. "But ooh damn, hot stuff like you, we got to find you a man tonight. Though," he paused to sip from his drink again.

Giving him a nod to continue, I drank as well.

"You suck real good?"
