After some weeks, I finally got some motivation to finish drawing  the rest of the Jackal squad now. 

Now there should be at least six members of the Jackal squad for total excluding Zero/Infinite.

The last two Jackals that are just shown as dark silhouettes so I had to make my own interpretation of them.

I really tried my best to match their design to what their silhouette looked like in the IDW Comic-, I'm not too sure if I did it right or not when drawing these two :')

Anyways, here they are:

And here we got Quintus. You may consider this as a  head canon or non-headcanon characters. It won't matter as much. But this Jackal shall be the mentor of Zero/Infinite, and I think I know a way to weave Infinite's backstory using this character this as well :D

And yes, this is the guy who got plunge paralysis  thanks to the Black arms from the game of "Shadow the Hedgehog"-

(Those who are in the sonic fandom should understand who the Black arms  are I think)

I'm not very good at drawing older characters though however. Hopefully I managed to make him look at least older than the rest  of the Jackal squad members :') 

"Quintus" also means "the fifth" or in other words "five"  in Latin.

And here we got Patru which means "Four" in Romanian.

She was a bit harder to design but hey, at least I got through it-

And yes, she uses explosives as her weapons. 

And no, you cannot hug her because she has too many explosive devices  on her lol. 

Though it was fun to try shading in a new way. This type of shading is probably what I'm going to apply to the Candy AU comic if possible, it's just much easier than what I did in my previous artworks recently.

Well uh..that is if it looks better. I'm still going through a decision crisis of how I should shade things hahaa-

I have been trying to research and find ways to fill in the gaps for the inconsistencies of the  Sonic lore but it's just been so complicated it even started to hurt my head at some point :')

And that's when I also came to realize that I can never  truly write all  the Sonic characters accurately either. There's so many different interpretations of them and they're all just complex characters in general (trust me, I would never have known that they were all complex characters if I never started this research-)

I'd say I'll be able to write the Sonic characters at least 90% accurately when it comes to Flora Foundry, they'll never be able to be perfect unfortunately. I'm still trying my best here but due to how many ways both the games and the fandom view these complex Sonic characters, it's been rather difficult (also Rogue and Eggman is so hard to write already the heck-)

I'm literally looking through every wiki page, documentaries, gameplays, cutscenes, and fan interpretations that I can find and yet  stillI can't fully write or understand these characters perfectly like some people such as  Ian Flynn can... *sigh*  I still got a lot more researching to do don't I? :') 

This is definitely far more difficult than researching for the Foolish crew member's personalities-

Speaking of character inconsistencies, I've managed to figure out a reason why Tails from the events of Sonic forces was so scared when Chaos appeared. And yes the one were he lacked the bravery for some reason when his confidence  to defend himself was already established in Sonic adventure 1-

And maybe the reason Tails didn't help Sonic when Sonic was literally being beaten up by a bunch of 'villains' is because he got confused and was getting mild hallucinations from which Infinite have given him to confuse and cause him to do the wrong actions when Sonic needed help the most. Hopefully that explanation can justify what happened in Sonic Forces because oh boy have they done Tails dirty in that game- 

I was thinking of something with Infinite trapping  Tails into a virtual reality world after capturing Sonic. Hence, explaining more of his absence and lack of contribution to the resistance during the war. 

After all, Tails is actually a pretty powerful and useful asset, it would make sense why Infinite will try to make sure he isn't too much use in the war.

 And instead of killing the fox, Infinite could've easily thought traumatizing and mentally torture the fox was a better punishment  than killing or letting him go.

So this led to Infinite trapping Tails in  a virtual reality world instead,  it was to slowly break him down and/or to prove if he can take all the mental and possible physical  pain from the fake realities that Infinite created for Tails. 

But it's also pretty confusing to tell what was real or not between the fake and actual reality. 

If the virtual reality traumatizes Tails, the trauma he gains from it will cause his lack of confidence and consistency in his skills. The best option was for him to endure all the pain and trials the virtual reality bestows upon him so he can learn to become 'stronger'. 

It's basically torturing a person in some way to strengthen them kind of thing- which I can imagine is something Infinite would do to someone instead of sparing everyone all the time

I'm not going to get in detail of the hallucinations that Tails goes through yet but eventually he does manage to get out of the virtual reality thanks to his intelligent self. But at a cost, he gets slightly paranoid and still unsure whether he was still in some virtual reality or not. But he still does get some hallucinations time to time due to the phantom Ruby being active. 

Basically Infinite took account of even if Tails somehow escapes from the virtual reality prison, the phantom ruby's energy, as long as it's still very active and present will send Tails some brief or extended hallucinations.

And this could explain why Silver said "Tails has just lost it" is because he saw Tails hallucinating and not acting like himself before meeting up with the resistance members. And Tails was unable to communicate due to how confused he has become. Possibly being slightly unhinged or paranoid even. 

Silver didn't have the time and didn't know how to deal with someone who may or may not be looking like they have lost their mind so he just...left.

Later on Tails starts to realize that the memories and possible trauma that he got from the virtual reality world is affecting himself and others and with difficulty decided to make some machine to erase his painful memories he gained from the virtual reality in hopes of restoring himself.

All he remembers is how Sonic got captured and the events after that is mostly blank. 

But despite getting rid of the painful memories, his own body still hasn't exactly forgotten it and sometimes reacts strangely as in for example, when that time he tries to fix Omega out in the open during the game, despite being a genius in mechanics, he still fails to fix Omega because his hands still trembled or was hesitant for some reason. Probably due to some trauma that he gained from the virtual reality while also still getting some brief hallucination from the phantom Ruby from afar and was rendered useless.

And a similar situation happens when meeting with Chaos soon after.

Basically the trauma he gained from the phantom ruby's influence is what caused his own character and self-esteem to be butchered poorly. It's not perfect but hey, it's hard to keep the events that's canon and still try to make sense out of it :') 

The main goal here is to not alter the events of Sonic forces unlike many of the story interpretations related to Sonic forces I have seen by far but keep the original ideas and cutscenes and build up/put in off screen scenes that leads to the original one.

Hopefully that makes sense.

Now the probably with this is that some things still not make sense of come with a perfect result, but hopefully it gets rid of the idea of "oh this just happened for no reason and without explanation" sort of thing. 

I'm just trying to make the main sonic storyline of Flora Foundry as close as the canon as possible, but dang is it so hard to do that :') 

Oh and anyone remember how they also butchered Shadow's character too in Sonic forces where they made him kill the Jackal squad for NO reason? 

Well I have an explanation to what happened to the real Shadow where the Jackal squad and himself was blown up in a landmine. And the only reason he survived was because he was the ultimate life form, he had immortality after all.

Now I've been thinking of this idea for a while and thought maybe the cutscene that shows Shadow beating up Infinite in Sonic forces shouldn't be the real Shadow but is an android/clone (a mixture of both)  Shadow.

I have looked through the cutscene and I found it strange that Shadow had somehow got connection with Eggman's radio. It's especially strange when you're in communication of the enemy. 

So I was thinking...what if the flashback cutscenes was not the real Shadow in place but an imposter being the Shadow android/clone? Those things did exist before so it won't be jsut out of nowhere. 

And this could explain why in Shadow in Sonic Forces says that "he doesn't remember Infinite" because he never really seen Infinite clearly, never even often his name. The only time he saw Infinite was when he saw a brief figure of a distressed Jackal seeing the corpses of his Jackal members in the rubble of the blown up landmine.

And the reason why Shadow didn't try to address Infinite the situation is because he had to help Cream get out of there and on the other hand, so much things were going on at that time as well. 

I'm also so close in fixing  Infinite's backstory, just gotta fix  some of the loose strands but I'd say that so far it's been pretty good. 

And that's some of the lore I managed to add in by far, they may or may not be important at some point in Flora Foundry, you'll never know :)

I somehow have the motivation to write Flora Foundry so have one of the scenes from the upcoming Chapter one :)

This took about 12 hours which took less time than I did when  drawing Quintus and Patru the heck-

I promise that more Candy AU lore is coming soon, I'm just currently having a drawing crisis when it comes to drawing humans at the moment so that slows down a bit of the process :')

I needed to improve on drawing human noses  so uhhh as you can see here, I'm struggling- also the nose made my artstyle looked kind of different too so it was just weird to see :')

Also went to a Stranger Things play  in the UK, it was absolutely amazing and has given me some good decent amount of ideas while watching it :D

Apparently I wasn't allowed to take many pictures so uhhh have this to prove that I was in the building of the play-

Also during my trip in the UK, I went to the causal toys store and found this whole collection. 

It's way better than what Walmart could ever offer and then I also realized that it's probably because  the Sonic franchise is considered as a kids franchise.

I always forget that the Sonic franchise is considered as a kids franchise for some reason lol.

Oh well, I can say from experience that the Sonic franchise is not too childish at all, like they got some dark themes and some killing in it if you were to look deeper-

It just depends on how SEGA portray/write the characters and how they decide to write the games/stories. But overall not the most childish things I have seen. 

Nothing too important but I just thought it was cool to see the whole squishmallow  collection of the gang here :D

(No one needs to know how much my figurine collection has grown uhhhh- I promise it's not really an addiction, I just wanted to get my favorite characters :') )

Also I couldn't get a photo for this but I knew that the UK is the tea country but I didn't know they were also specialized in creating many "Boba tea shops-" like I went to this China town with people crowding everywhere and you could literally see a different Bubble tea shop left and right. It was crazy- 

I was expecting to see lots of tea, not also bubble tea lol
