3rd person POV:

The YDI club was surrounding Laura, a woman who was supposed to be dead.

Pen: I thought you were dead!

Taking out a cigarette, she quickly lights it and begins smoking.

Laura: Surprise~

Pen: What happened to you then, if you didn't die?

Laura: Ugh... MI6 wanted more knowledge of Personas. I couldn't be bothered so I faked my death.

Akemi: You faked your death to avoid giving information?

Laura: It's better than having them look for me.

Laura:(blows smoke)

(Y/n): What is Mana planning?

Laura: Don't worry about it, Pen and I can handle things from here.

Pen: We can?

Laura: Yes.

(Y/n) swipes the cigar out of Laura's mouth and crushes it.

(Y/n): No more lies, enough not giving information. Answers or I'll give MI6 some good news.

Laura:...

Laura: Tch...(lights another cigar)

Laura: When our little group defeated this self-proclaimed god, he spat out the nonsense in his dying breath.

Laura: Something about misfortune for the rest of your lives.

Laura: We didn't give it much thought... Except for Mana apparently.

Laura: After a few bad days I guess she began to crack and start trying to fuse the worlds.

Rena: Why did you help her?

Laura: World peace, no more sickness... I'm no scientists, but that's a pretty good trade for combining worlds.

Laura: But betrayal... All the lies... I had to draw the line at attacking you (Y/n).

(Y/n):... My father, what did he had to do with all of this?

Laura: I believe he was investigating us. Mana was busy dealing with him, so I don't know any details.

(Y/n): Can you get us to Mana?

Laura:...

(Y/n): Either work with us or get lost.

Laura:...

(Y/n):(sigh)

(Y/n): Let's go.

Laura: You can't fight her...

(Y/n): Whether or not I fight her, is up to her.

Laura: No... I mean...You shouldn't fight her.

(Y/n): Why not?

Laura: Because she's your mother.

Everyone:!?

Laura: You can't fight your mother (Y/n)...

(Y/n):....

(Y/n): "When it comes to blood... would you fight for it or what you believe in?"

Laura:(mumbles) Daitan...

(Y/n): So what if she's my mother?

(Y/n): If anything, it makes her my responsibility to handle.

He walks away with his friends following. Laura took a moment before going after them.

Laura:(mind) This just had to happen...

(Opening theme)

Entering the Usso made it extremely easy for the group to infiltrate Dawn enterprise.

Fighting through several shadows, they arrive at the basement entrance.

Laura: Last chance to turn around.

Rena: I'm good.

Akemi: Already came this far...

Ryotaro: I won't run away.

Kiba: I'm all in!

Pen: I'm staying with the kids. Besides, I love watching you move in that outfit...

(Y/n): I won't let my mother cover the world with lies...

Laura: Okay then.

With her access card, Laura opened the door to a large room.

In the middle of the room was a large arch that started at one wall and ended on the opposite wall.

Under the arch was some kind of colored liquid that infinitely fell like a waterfall. The color was a high contrast to the black and white world.

In between it all was Mana.

(Y/n): Mana!

Mana:...

Mana:(mumbles) Why did you have to come...

(Y/n): It's over!

Mana: It's not... Not while I still stand.

Kiba: Then we're just going to have to knock you down!

Mana: Even with Laura by your side, you don't stand a chance.

(Y/n): Let's put your theory to the test!

They all summoned their personas and the final battle commences.

(Y/n), Pen along with Kiba sends their persons out to attack.

Rena and Akemi gave the boys suppressing fire to allow them to get in closer.

Ryotaro in the meanwhile stayed on top of the buffing and charging of the party.

Mana then used Tomoe to launch attacks directly at the party, however, Laura protected the kids with her ability.

When the boys got in range to attack Tomoe, they used all their might and managed to knock her back.

This gave an opening for the girls to get in closer and blast another attack towards her.

Mana however jumped back further towards the arch.

(Y/n): You can't beat us all at once.

Mana: I don't need to beat you...

The team continued to push Mana further back.

(Y/n) then got in close while the others dealt with her persona.

(Y/n): I know who you are to me.

Mana:...

(Y/n) threw a punch towards her, however, she dodged and elbowed him in the ribs.

Pulling out his baton, she smacked the back of her knee making her stumble.

Kicking her in the back, he knocked her to the ground and pulled out his gun.

(Y/n): It's over!

Mana:...

(Y/n): I want answers!

Mana:... When my dad died in an accident, that's when I felt something was off...

(Y/n):?

Mana: After the final battle... Little odd things happened...

Mana: They kept happening...

Mana: Daitan convinced me to move on but...

Mana: But when you were born, it pushed me off the edge.

(Y/n): Was my birth that bad?

Mana: You were stillborn...

(Y/n):!

Mana: No signs of life... No signs of anything wrong either.

Mana: They managed to resuscitate you... But that moment of hearing you were dead before you even had begun to live...

Mana: It broke me...I was horrified to be around you! I always thought at any moment, you were going to get hurt, because of me!

(Y/n): So that's why left?

Mana: That's why I started this project...

Mana: To get rid of this damn curse.

(Y/n): There is no curse! Your paranoia is probably what resulted in this belief in bad luck.

Mana: That's exactly what Daitan said before we fought.

(Y/n): Fought, when did you two fight?

Mana: You know...

(Y/n):?

Thinking back to the last time he saw his father in the burning building of his detective agency, he remembered seeing blue flames.

(Y/n):!?

(Y/n): You were the reason the building exploded... Why my dad is dead!

Mana: It was an accident... That I intend on correcting.

The young detective then realizes something when the sounds of battle stopped. The entire time he and she were talking, the others were still fighting Tomoe, which meant she was stalling him.

Looking up, he saw Tomoe fly right past him and into the liquid.

Reality then began moving like a wave created when a rock is dropped into water.

(Y/n) quickly looked towards his friends to find that they are gone. Without a trace, they had disappeared.

(Y/n): Wha-!?

Arms then popped out of nowhere and began dragging (Y/n) into what could only be described as "liquid reality".

His color had drained away as more arms pulled him in.

(Y/n):(muffled struggling)

Mana appeared in front of him and caressed his cheek.

Mana: Don't worry... Nothing can hurt us now... We can finally be a family...

(Y/n):(muffled shouting)

Everything goes black.

Voice:... Wake...up

Voice: Wake up...

Voice: WAKE UP!

(Y/n):(GASP)

Opening his eyes while taking a heavy breath he wakes up to a world with its color drained.

(Y/n): What... What am-

(Y/n): What time is it?

(Y/n):(mind) No, that's not the right question...

(Y/n): I better leave before I'm late for school.

(Y/n):(mind) That's... Not right...

Getting dressed in his usual suit, he makes his way downstairs where he sees Mana cooking, Pen vibing on his phone, and Daitan, his father was reading a newspaper.

(Y/n): D-dad...?

Daitan:...

Mana: Good morning, son. Breakfast?

(Y/n): N-no mom, I'm good.

(Y/n): Dad?

Daitan:...

(Y/n):(mind) Something's wrong... Extremely Wrong...

Voice: The dead cannot speak.

(Y/n):!?

Mana: Something wrong?

(Y/n):(mind) Yes.

(Y/n): No.

Leaving the house he finds a perfect world, however, he finds it normal.

Voice: Will you just let that mask blind you from the truth?

The young detective then stopped in his tracks.

(Y/n): Mask...?

Placing his hands on his face, he felt a hard object over his face.

Grabbing it he pulled on it. The pain was tremendous but he tore it off.

The mask disintegrated in his hands. The world was now black and white to the detective.

All the people were now disgusting shadow fused creatures in (Y/n)'s eyes.

(Y/n): What's...

(Y/n): That's right...

(Y/n): Shit, what do I do?

Voice: What you always do. Reveal the truth.

(Y/n): That voice... Sherlock?

Voice: Not quite... I am the you that resides within you...

Voice: Your desire, along with the bonds you've made has awoken me.

(Y/n): Then let's do something!

Taking out his summoning badge he attempts to open it but is unsuccessful.

(Y/n):?

He attempts to pry it open but is unsuccessful yet again.

(Y/n): Why... Won't it... Open...!

Voice: Because I have no form, no identity, not yet at least.

Voice: You must decide.

(Y/n): Decide what?

Voice: To change the world back to what it was.

(Y/n):?

Voice: Everyone is at peace. There is no conflict nor trouble.

Voice: It may be ugly... But this is the fantasy world for everyone else.

(Y/n):........

He continues to pry the badge open.

(Y/n): This world... It's just sad and disgusting...

(Y/n): What makes this all worse is that this was none of their decisions...

(Y/n): Who would want to live a lie?

(Y/n): Our world may not be perfect...

(Y/n): But there is good in it. There are wondrous things in it...

(Y/n): Even with all the bad in life...

(Y/n): If you just look... If you just put a little effort... You'll find the good.

(Y/n): So if my answer isn't clear yet, allow me to make it loud and clear.

(Y/n): I will be who I am... A detective...

He begins struggling harder to open his badge.

(Y/n): And as a detective, I will reveal all the lies... So we with the truth, we can move on to all the good.

(Y/n): So... Lend me your power...!

Color begins to bleed back into (Y/n).

(Y/n): THEODON!!!

In a bursting flurry of different colors flames, a Persona was summoned.

(World Awakening theme)

Theodon: I am thou, thou art I! Tell me! What do you wish to do with our power?

(Y/n): Burn this lie to ash and bring back the true world!

Theodon nods and clenches his fist. The bright flames glow brighter than before as he clenches his fist and punches the air.

The reality around them begins to crack as Theodon began kicking and punching.

Holes, in reality, were created with each attack.

Theodon: World... Breaker!

The black and white world of lies was shattered with that final attack.

(Y/n) then returned to the basement of Dawn enterprise with his friends and mother there as well.

Mana: What happened!? No, but-!?

Tomoe then flew out of the arch.

Mana:!?

Akemi: What's going on...?

Rena: My head feels fuzzy.

Pen: Holy shit... (Y/n)'s got a new persona.

(Y/n): Mana!

Mana:!?

Mana: I made the-

(Y/n): Enough!

(Y/n): I've had enough of your madness!

(Y/n): This only one truth to this reality! I won't allow you to distort it with your lies!

(Y/n) furiously points at Mana in tandem with Theodon.

(Y/n): Without remorse, I shall make you face your truth!

Mana: Tomoe!

Tomoe creates a sword which she stabs towards Theodon.

Theodon: Hmph... Enough hiding! Reality awaits you!

Theodon lifts his fist and punches through the swords and uppercuts Tomoe with such force it not only forces her to be unsummoned but also destroys the arch behind her.

Mana:!?

She falls to her knees as she sees all her work destroyed.

(Y/n): It's over...
