3rd person POV:

Gin was found dead on the infamous dead man's bench.

The ambulance was too late to resuscitate him.

A quick look over his body, the authorities found a bullet had grazed his neck but the cause of death was due to a serious allergic reaction.

With this mysterious case, the detectives were called.

Wataru: Is this the place?

Sato: Seems like it.

Wataru: Did you bring a note pad? I forgot mine.

Sato: You should always have one on you.

Wataru: I know, you keep telling me...

An officer walked up to the two detectives and updated them on what they knew so far.

Officer: There are three adults that knew the victim and three kids that just met the group.

Officer: The victim was in their late thirties... Doesn't seem to have any enemies...

Officer: While taking a picture, one of his friends got scared by some ghosts and jumped back. There was also some bang sound, and now we're here.

Officer: Oh, you're not going to believe this, but the same kid from last time is here.

Sato: What kid.

Officer: There name was... What was it? Conan! That's it.

Sato: Conan...

Wataru: It might just be a coincidence...

Sato: Let's make sure.

The two stare at the young detective.

(Opening theme)

The two detectives approached (Y/n).

Sato: Can we talk to you?

(Y/n): Of course.

Wataru: Your last name is Conan, correct?

(Y/n): Yes. Why do you ask?

Wataru: Well... You wouldn't happen to be related to Daitan Conan, would you?

(Y/n): He was my father.

Wataru/Sato:!?

Wataru:(mumbles) Senpai had a child?

Sato: Wait, what do you mean by was.

(Y/n): He... Recently died.

Sato: Oh...

(Y/n): How do you know my father?

Sato: He was our senpai.

(Y/n): Huh... I'd like to talk more, but there is a crime that needs to be solved.

Sato: You're right.

(Y/n): So maybe I can help you two?

Sato: Sorry, no.

(Y/n): How about if I and my friends just watch from a distance. We're part of a detective club, and I think we would learn a lot.

Sato: I don't know...

Wataru: Come on, his senpai's kid. What's the worst that could happen?

Sato: Fine.

(Y/n): Thank you.

The teens then watch as the detectives interrogate the three remaining Legend hunters.

The first was Jenny. They walked up to her.

Wataru: What happened.

Jenny: I don't know... I suddenly got a call from an unknown number, I left to pick it up, and there was no one on the other end.

Jenny: They then hung up.

Ryotaro: Maybe they called the wrong number?

Akemi: Or a prank call.

Wataru: Then what?

Jenny: I heard Kelly screaming so I ran and...

Sato: Did you see anything strange?

Jenny: Nothing I can think of...

Sato: Okay, tell us if you remember something.

(Y/n):(mind) The timing on that phone call seems to perfect...

They then went to question Mori.

Sato: What happened?

Mori: I was packing up some equipment, then when I heard Kelly scream, I turned around and saw what happened.

(Y/n):(mind) I last saw him behind us... But we all were focused on Gin and Kelly, so his alibi is wobbly... So is Jenny's.

Sato: How did you all meet?

Mori: We were all trying to get into show business. The sisters tried to be actresses, Gin a talk show host...

Wataru: You all seem pretty close, so what was his relationship with you?

Mori: He was like an older brother to me.

Ryotaro: Was he like that with the others?

Mori: No... Honestly, I think he was dating the sisters behind their backs. I would see them both on separate occasions go into his hotel room.

Akemi: So was he actually a scum bag?

Officer: Detectives! We found a gun.

Mori's interrogation ended and they walked over to where they found the gun.

It was hidden under the van. As they inspected the gun, (Y/n) noticed a hazelly smell in the air.

As the gun was handed to forensics, the rest continued the interrogation.

Next was Kelly, the one who took the picture.

Sato: Tell us what happened.

Kelly:(teary-eyed) W-well, I was getting ready to take a picture of Gin on the bench...

Kelly: T-then I saw it... The ghost!

Kelly: It lunged at me and pushed me!

Kelly: You saw it right?

She looks at the YDI club for confirmation.

Akemi: We didn't see anything. You just suddenly got scared by something.

Ryotaro: Sorry...

Kelly: I know what I saw, I'm not crazy!

Sato: Tell us your relationship with the victim.

Kelly: He was like an older brother to me... To all of us.

Sato: Really? Because we heard it was more than that.

Kelly: Did Mori tell you that?

Kelly: It's just a misunderstanding... We both went to talk with him.

Kelly: Gin and Mori actually got in a fight because of that misunderstanding. Gin got so angry, he actually considered firing Mori.

Kelly: I and Jenny had to calm him down and bring him to his senses.

(Y/n): Hmmm...

(Y/n) then noticed Pen walking towards the camera Kelly dropped.

(Y/n): Maybe...

Before Pen could pick up the camera, (Y/n) grabs it with gloves on.

Pen:!

He inspected the camera. Attempting to take a picture, (Y/n) become shocked.

(Y/n):!?

As he began to press down the button, he heard what sounded like gears turning or a gun chamber turning.

(Y/n):?

Inspecting the camera once more, he saw the Dawn enterprise logo on it.

(Y/n):....

(Y/n): I believe I've figured out what happened.

Catching everyone's attention, they all gathered around him.

Sato: You figured it out?

(Y/n): Yes. Here, take this camera.

Handing over the camera to Sato, he then directs her in the direction with no people.

(Y/n): Kelly saw a ghost. But the ghost was in the camera.

Akemi: Are you trying to say the camera is haunted?

(Y/n): Of course not. But since actions speak louder than words... Sato, please try taking a picture.

Everyone stood to the side of Sato as she took a picture. She went to click the picture...

Sato: GHA!

She pressed down the button to take a picture with, which caused the lens to open and make a bang.

(Bang)

Wataru: What just happened?

(Y/n): The camera has some kind of jump scare. If you look long enough into it, that's what you'll get.

Ryotaro: That's why Kelly screamed?

(Y/n): Yes.

Akemi: What was that banging noise?

(Y/n): That's not a normal camera. It has a built-in gun.

Everyone:!?

Sato messed with the camera until she opened the gun mechanism in the camera.

Akemi: So did Kelly shoot Gin?

(Y/n): I doubt it. She jumped back due to the jump scare, throwing any aim off. She would need to be the best shot in the world while also being the best actor.

Sato: Hey, the chambers are filled with blanks.

(Y/n): It proves it. That along with the "B-bang" we heard...

(Y/n): The gun we found was the murder weapon. This was just a decoy used to throw us off the scent.

(Y/n): However, their failure to hide the gun properly is what caused their failure.

Sato: I see...

Wataru: I don't really get it all...

Mori: Do you know what happened?

(Y/n): Of course. This is how it happened...

(Y/n): This all was premeditated... After finding or perhaps buying the camera, they prepared the jump scare program.

(Y/n): They then waited until they found the perfect attraction like the dead man's bench to pull off their plan.

(Y/n): All eyes had to be on Gin and the one with the camera, so the murderer could sneak into the van and shoot Gin with a peanut butter-soaked bullet.

Ryotaro: Peanut butter?

(Y/n): It might have been some other peanut related substance.

Wataru; That would explain the bloated throat.

(Y/n): Correct. They planned on shooting him at the same time the camera gun went off. But if you remember, the sound we heard...

Ryotaro: B-bang?

(Y/n): Exactly. There was a little delay between the shoots giving them away. They also missed and only managed to graze his neck, but it was enough to set off an allergic reaction, killing him.

Ryotaro: Who did it then?

Akemi: It would have to be someone good with tech.

(Y/n): The one who did it was the one who was behind us, gave that specific camera to Kelly, and had some kind of anger towards Gin.

(Y/n): You fit that bill perfectly, Mori!

Mori:!?

Mori: W-what about Jenny? She disappeared to answer a phone call.

(Y/n): You called her with a burner phone. If it's not on you, then a thorough expectation will find it.

(Y/n): Emmitt it.

The detectives began approaching Mori who walked back to try to keep some distance but ended up falling onto the bench.

Mori: Of course it wasn't me! I was set up! It was the ghost! The ghost I'm telling you!

Color began bleeding away. The world turned black and white as the YDI club and Mori entered the Usso.

Ryotaro: Why were we pulled in.

Pen: His lies and the denial of the truth probably was the cause.

(Y/n): I guess that shadow pulled him in?

Pen: What shad- oh fuck a duck!

They all looked at the shadow looming over Mori.

Mori: AAAAAAAHHHHHH!?

Mori: Fine, I did it! I admit it, now save me!

He huddles up in the fetal position.

The YDI club prepares to fight the shadow until they realize, it was just standing there. Looking at them all, until finally starting at (Y/n).

Pen: Yeah... How about we just leave?

(Y/n): Works for me.

They then bring Mori back into reality where it seemed like nothing happened.

(Y/n): Confess.

Mori: Gin wanted to fire me... I got mad.

Mori: I had actually gotten the opportunity to work at Dawn enterprise, but I turned it away to do Legend hunters...

Mori: I had thrown away that great job for him! And he just wanted to fire me after all I've done?

Mori: I could have never gotten that time back, so I decided to take the rest of his.

Mori: I tried to do it here because all the supernatural stuff that apparently goes on around here.

Mori: The rest you know...

Jenny: Gin would have never fired you!

Mori: I heard you all talking behind my back!

Jenny: But you didn't listen to the end.

Kelly: Gin felt horrible for even think about firing you. He wanted to make it up to you but didn't know how...

Mori: What...?

Jenny: Wait here.

She then runs to the van and takes out a box hidden in there.

Jenny: Remember what he said? "That camera is only good enough for Kelly"?

Mori: He didn't think I was good with the camera...

Jenny: No, he thought the camera wasn't good enough for you.

Opening the box, she revealed a much better camera and a letter.

Jenny: He spent all his personal money on this camera for you.

Mori: What...?

Handing him the letter, he reads it. The letter said "I'm sorry, I hope we can move on"-Gin.

Mori: Gin... N-no... I'm sorry...

Mori was then taken to jail. The two sisters decided to try and carry on the Legend hunter brand, but who knows how that will go.

As the police left, along with the majority of the YDI club, (Y/n) stayed behind to look around due to a feeling he had.

Suddenly pulled into the Usso, (Y/n) sees a guy sitting in the dead man's bench.

Guy: Are you afraid of death?

(Y/n): Huh...

(Y/n): Yeah, I'm not going to deal with this right now.

With that said, he left.
