New job, new teacher, new club

3rd person POV:

Akira: Coffee?

(Y/n):(sigh) Yeah...

Akira: Anything specific?

(Y/n): Whatever you recommend.

The barista then made some coffee, when it was done, he handed it to (Y/n) who paid for it.

Taking a sip of the delicious coffee, (Y/n) feels less tired as his energy come back.

Akira: Looks like you feel better.

(Y/n): Yeah, a little.

Akira: If you don't mind me asking, why you were feeling down?

(Y/n): It's nothing but the realization of how broke I am.

Akira:(smirks) Money problems? I know what's that like.

(Y/n): Really?

Akira: Yeah. I worked several part-time jobs when I was your age.

Akira:... You know what? Do you want to work here?

(Y/n): Seriously?

Akira: Yeah. It might not be the best paying job, but if you make a good enough cup of coffee, then all the ladies who stop by might give you some big tips.

Akira: I can even teach you some stuff.

(Y/n): Hmm... Sure.

Akira: Then its a deal.

The two shake hands as a bond is formed.

Akira: Stop by whenever you have free time.

(Y/n): Will do.

(Opening theme)

(01.05.2XXX/ Morning)

It was a bright sunny morning. (Y/n) met Ryotaro halfway on the road to school and so the two decided to walk together.

Ryotaro: I hear that a new storage building has been built to replace the old shed.

(Y/n): That's good.

Akemi: More like war...

Ryotaro: AHHH!

Akemi was now walking beside the two after scaring Ryotaro and surprising (Y/n).

(Y/n): Where did you come from?

Akemi: My house.

(Y/n): Fair enough.

Ryotaro: H-hey, Akemi...

Akemi: Hey.

(Y/n): What was that about war?

Akemi: The new storage building is twice as large as the last one. If the rumors are to be believed, then there a small classroom built into it.

(Y/n): What for?

Akemi: It was supposed to be some kind of gardening classroom but that got scrapped since miss Ivy got pregnant and took maternity leave.

Akemi: Right now, all the clubs are fighting it out to get that space as their personal club room.

(Y/n): Okay, but is it really a "war"?

The three arrived in the school's courtyard to find the kendo club staring down the archery club.

(Y/n): Huh... Didn't know we had these kinds of clubs. Why do we have these clubs?

As Akemi continues onwards, while Ryotaro explains.

Ryotaro: Clubs are pretty important in our school. The principal really wants students to be active and or be social.

Ryotaro: So there are lots of benefits to being in a club.

(Y/n): Like what...?

Ryotaro: Well... If your grades are good enough, you can skip the last lesson of the day to get to your club.

Ryotaro: There's also extra credit, less homework, and depending on the club, more.

(Y/n): Interesting...

Ryotaro:?

Ryotaro: Where is Pen-senpai?

(Y/n): My place probably. Anyway, we should get going before we're late for class.

Ignoring the potential fight that might break out between the clubs, they make their way to class. As they take their seats, they realized something.

Who was going to be their homeroom teacher now?

As quickly as that question popped in their minds, so to was it answered as a man entered the room.

He was in his late twenties, shirt half-tucked, with messy hair. Writing his name on the board behind him, he turned to the class to introduce himself to everyone.

Teacher: What's up? My name is Yoshikazu Komorebi. I'm you're new homeroom teacher.

(Name: Yoshikazu Komorebi/age: 28/ occ: teacher)

(Y/n):(mind)... Is this a prank?

When the lesson began, it didn't take a detective to tell how laid back he was. He spoke, looked, and practically acted like a teen.

When the lesson ended, he casually waved off everyone, saying they can leave.

Yoshikazu seems relatively passionate about teaching, which was positive.

(Y/n) didn't much care, for he had a bigger task ahead of him. The war of clubs was going on around the school, and he planned on winning it.

As he left the classroom, both Akemi and Ryotaro wondered what he was doing.

(5 hours later)

Ryotaro shyly walked up to the new school building behind the main building.

He had gotten a message from (Y/n) to meet him inside.

Opening the door to the new classroom built into it, the first thing he saw was Pen looking out the window, monologuing.

Pen: It was a completely average day, but I couldn't sleep... For there were many bitches to be had.

Pen: Some have big titties, others small, all of them covered up... Things like that keep me up at night...

Pen: The titties must be freed-!

A stapler flew across the room and smack Pen against the head.

Pen: ACK! What the fuck!?

(Y/n): Quit the pervert talk will ya? I don't want you to scare away any potential clients.

Ryotaro: C-clients?

The shy boy walked into the classroom. Looking to the left end of the classroom, he saw (Y/n), behind a desk with his feet resting on it.

(Y/n): Oh, you made it.

(Y/n): Do you want to join my club?

Ryotaro: W-what club?

(Y/n): The YDI club.

Ryotaro: Y..D...I..?

(Y/n): The Young Detectives Investigation club.

(Y/n): Consider it a place where people can come and ask us for help.

Ryotaro: I-I can really join?

(Y/n): Of course. The paperwork is right here.

He taps the sheet of paper on his desk. Ryotaro immediately walks up to the desk and signs in.

Ryotaro: How did you get this classroom?

(Y/n): Simple. I got the new teacher to sign off on allowing it to be made.

(Y/n): A "one free investigation" for the principal as a push to give us this room.

Pen: The only catch is that we need five members by the end of the school year or the room will be given to someone else.

Ryotaro: Well there's already three of us. Two more shouldn't be hard.

(Y/n): Pen doesn't count.

Pen: I'm a penguin, not a student, teacher fucker.

(Y/n): I asked one more person to come but looks like she wasn't interested...

Suddenly, the door opens and Akemi walks in. She walks up to (Y/n)'s desk, sees the membership form, signs it, then walks to the other side of the room, sits in a chair in the corner of the room, takes out a book and starts reading.

(Y/n): Huh... Well... Welcome to the YDI club.

Akemi: I'm only here because I need a new quiet place to read.

(Y/n): Fine by me, as long as it's not some raunchy romance trash.

Akemi:(smiles) Then it's a good thing I like mystery novels.

And so, the YDI club was born, only missing two more members if they wanted to survive next year.

(Ending theme)
