3rd person POV:

(04/06/2XXX/Noon)

The YDI club was investigating a sighting of a creature strangely sounding like some kind of shadow from the Usso.

Walking through the woods in search of a cabin where the sightings were reported.

Pen: Nature sucks!

Akemi: Said the penguin...

Pen: The ground hurts my feet-

(Y/n): Stop complaining, you wanted to walk on your own, suck it up.

Pen:(mumbles) Things never change...

(Y/n): What?

Pen: Uhhh... I said these things have fangs.

Ryotaro: F-fangs?! W-what has fangs?

Pen: Your mom!

Ryotaro: She does?

Rena: Hey! I read that the cabin where this creature was spotted near is a popular building that couples rent out for the weekend for-

Rena:(clears throat while blushing) activities...

Pen: SE-

(Y/n): We're here.

The group then sees the wooden cabin.

(Opening theme)

Taking a moment to stare at the cabin, they quickly see how large this cabin really is.

Two floors, basement, attic... This building was basically a mini-mansion by design.

Rena: Whoa...

Pen: Maybe I should rent this place out, to live in.

(Y/n): You have money?

Pen:.... (Y/n), I need a loan!

(Y/n): Get a job.

Akemi: How new is this place?

Rena: From what I read, this place was just recently restored to a better state.

(Y/n): Let's get started.

Pen: What even is the plan?

(Y/n): A good old fashioned, stakeout.

(Y/n): Whatever we're looking for, was seen at the cabin.

(Y/n): We'll hide somewhere for a few hours. If nothing shows then it might have been a one-off advent.

Pen: That sounds boring!

Pen: Why don't we look for footprints?

(Y/n): Hunters were sent to try and hunt down the creature so it wouldn't ruin the reputation of the cabin but didn't find a trace of it.

Pen: Maybe they were shit hunters?

(Y/n): And you're better?

Pen: I'm taking a nap...

And so, the YDI club began their stakeout.

For hours they waited, spending the time by chatting and playing games.

The teens and their penguin bonded until the sunset when they decided to call it a day.

(Y/n): It looks like a no show...

(Y/n): Let's call it a day.

Pen: What a bummer...

As they prepared to leave, they hear bushes rustle. They then saw a translucent creature.

Pen: Now you come!?

(Y/n): After it!

The club runs after the shadow, eventually being pulled into the Usso along the way.

Dashing past trees and shrubbery they didn't seem like they would catch it until they heard someone shout.

???: Hannibal!

Suddenly, a persona tackles the shadow to the ground.

The club then suddenly stop to see what was going on.

Pen: A persona?

Akemi: Where's the user?

Ryotaro: Look!

They all see a teen about their age.

Guy: Heh, thought you could run, eh?

Guy: Just who the hell do you think you are?

Shadow: I'm the Alfa, fear me, omega!

This shadow, calling itself, Alfa, sent a wave of purple energy towards this teen.

Unable to dodge, the teen was knocked to the ground.

(Y/n): Let's go.

Arriving on the scene, the YDI club summons their persona's.

Alfa: ?!

Akemi: Why don't you reveal who you really are?

Alfa then summons several shadows the distract the club.

Pen and Rena used their personas to force the shadows into one pile. Ryotaro then used his witchdoctor to buff Akemi's persona.

With her Chimera, she knocked all the shadows prone.

(Y/n) then initiated an all-out attack.

(Y/n): Let's go!

Giving it everything they had, they destroyed all the shadows.

The teen watched with awe at their skill.

Guy: Wait a minute... You all are that detective club in our school!

Akemi: Hey, I've seen you around the school. What was your name?

Guy: I'm Kiba Okami.

(Kiba Okami/age: 17/occ: student)

(Y/n): Kiba, I think we need to chat.

The group makes their way back to the YDI club room where they could have a long private chat.

Rena: Can I get you anything?

Kiba: No thank you.

(Y/n): How did you get your persona?

Kiba:...

Kiba: A week ago, I was knocked unconscious. When I woke up, I was in that black and white world.

Kiba: There, I saw that monster kill my father.

Everyone:!?

Kiba: Soon after, I unlocked my persona and managed to escape.

Kiba: I've been hunting down that bastard ever since.

Akemi: Do you know who Alfa or whatever he's called actually is?

Kiba: What do you mean?

(Y/n): Tell me, what's different about him compared to the other monsters in that world?

Kiba: He killed my father.

(Y/n): And...?

Kiba: And?

Kiba:...

Kiba: He was in color.

(Y/n): Correct.

(Y/n): You see, we've fought people like that before. The colored shadows are people who can transform.

Kiba: How?

(Y/n): It has something to do with being near or witnessing a crack in the world.

Ryotaro: W-we're still looking into that...

Kiba: I see...

Kiba: What is it that you do here?

Akemi: It's basically a detective agency. Give us a case and we'll solve it.

Kiba: Do people actually come to you?

Pen: Sometimes they come to us, sometimes we go to them. Especially if there attractive ladies.

Kiba:(mumbles) Attractive ladies you say...

(Y/n): How about we join forces to stop your father's killer and bring them to justice?

Kiba: Justice...?

(Y/n) offers a hand to him.

Kiba:...

Kiba: No.

Everyone:?

Kiba: I can't.

Kiba: I need to get revenge. There's no point in me getting your hands dirty for something that has nothing to do with you.

Kiba: I'm sorry.

After bowing, he leaves.

Pen: Well... Fuck.

Pen: What now?

Rena: I don't know.

(Y/n): We're going to investigate whether he likes it or not. We need to stop these shadow transforming people before something catastrophic happens.

Akemi: That seems like an overreaction.

Pen: Not really. Someone who can manipulate the Usso can manipulate reality.

Pen: Unless we figure out how to separate the two words permanently, then we're going to want to at least stop those shadow cosplayers.

(Y/n): You all should start looking into the case, I'll try to convince him to change his mind.

With a set plan, they all separate for today so they can get some rest and continue tomorrow.
